President Qaybdiid has no problem with federalism but rather annoyed by the PM's attempt to govern some regions directly i.e Ahlu Sunna held territories of central Somalia whilst pretending to want Galmudug to branch out to South Central Somalia. Galmudug's position is clear, either you support the unity of central Somalia by facilitating Galmudug's proposal of uniting central regions of Somalia or you work with what is already there but one cannot have it both ways. Nothing is wrong with the government built airport but this one is being built by business men and only works in favour of the Galmudug authorities. Difference is one is East Galkayo and the other South Galkayo. Think of it in this way, in the event of war between the two sides, the old air strip east of Galkayo will naturally close down due to insecurity while the south far away from the front line will be open for business. I guess Galmudug gets the last laugh. Until then One is shared and used by all while the other is exclusive.

With in 110 days in office, the new President of Galmudug Gen. Abdi Hasan Awale (Qaybdiid), to his achievement Galmudug's first presidential HQ is built. Galmudug's First president Prof. Kiimiko along with delegates from neighbouring states, Central federal Government, Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamee'a, District Governors of Benadir attended the opening ceremony as Thousands of civilians poured into the Presidential compound to witness this historic event. Nabadoon Xaad is a good man but he carries the burden of all nabadoono which is to speak on behalf of tolka lol. He may not share the sentiment but has to express the worries and frustration of his backers. Not long ago there was an alleged scuffle over who should be given the interior ministry. Today government building are being built and real strides are being taken to reopen Hobyo port not by Qeybdiid but many other people who trust Qeybdiid to quel any nonesense. Latest report from Hobyo has it that Hagafey managed to successfully turn people against each other and the pirates are receiving backup by militias that are grouping and coming in from other region into peaceful Hobyo and I am afraid this may turn very ugly. General Qeybdiid returned to Gaalkacyo today and with this news of clan militia entering Hobyo there could be a war brewing thanks to Hagafey's tol beelayay Qeybdiid nagu soo xadgudbay. The sad thing about somali politics is that a thief quickly becomes ina hebel and a pirate quickly becomes maamul hebel. Abwaan .. Hobyo beelo badan ayaa degan and none had a problem with Galmudug up until when Mr Hagafey decided to sound the alarm calling for clan tension threatening stability in the region unless ofcurs he gets a piece of the deal. Xaaji Xunjuf, There is no clan war going on in Hobyo, General Abdi Qeybdiid announced Hobyo to be pirate free on the 24th of August and when he returned to Hobyo with foreigners, a bunch of pirates did a hit a run with hopes of scaring the foreigners away and distracting any efforts to reopen the port. Ximan & Xeeb on the other hand wanted to be heard in the media so they can pretend to have a say in Hobyo. The reality is Hobyo has been infested with pirates of different subclans and all Mr.Hagafey (spokes man for ximan) did was that he started completely unnecessary clan tension in the region by claiming to have attacked Galmudug President and his convoy. When the convoy of foreigners completed their visit, they moved on to other towns unharmed. General Qeybdiid however remained behind in Hobyo to speak to the elders in hobyo about the small incident and how it can be prevent from happening again. The pirates who hail from no one particular subclan do not want to see the port open nor do they want a strong regional admin functioning on Hobyo since it would turn their former hiding place into a booming, prosperous civilized Somali town at the very least. It is very disapointing that Ximan attempted to spin this incident into what's known as "Ku Qabso Ku Qadi meyside". Even of they were invited to Hobyo for the reopening of the port, the pirates would still be an issue not to mention Shabab who work closely with the pirates in Xaradheere. Moonlight, as I said General Qaybdiid is due to be sworn in on the 14th of August, which is the anniversary of Galmudug. Therefore its only right for Mr Caalin to attend the last of Hillary's workshops. Meanwhile President Qaybdiid addresses his people at a support rally for the new Galmudug Leadership. Tima Kalajeex on the other hand is embarrassing himself. People are literally rallying outside for the support of the New President while he speaks to a camera lol stubborn but will soon come to know.

That is the estimation the locals give you and to top it off, the remaining 20% are said to be mainly undecided but of curs you appear to value the diaspora more so we'll wait for them to use their "money" to win back hearts and minds.

Abwaan, Abdishukri is a member of the diaspora and has no real influence in Galmudug. If your suggesting he can buy the loyalty of the people that is another story but to reaffirm the legitimacy of this election, after there was some confusion on when the election would take place, the high court of Galmudug ruled that the election must take place on the 1st of August. So to delay the election would go against everything constitutional all in the hopes of satisfying Mr Caalin who doesn't want to step down and new comer Tima kala jeex who wants to try his luck in a place were Caalin and Kimiko are considered to be enough of a trial and error presidents. Call Galkayo and they will tell you, that Qeybdiid had already won over the new MPs of Galmudug so mr tima kala jeex resorted to staging his own elections with the advice of Mr Caalin but that is all a history now. At most they will bark from the side lines as Qeybdiid has well over 80% of the population in his favour which is more support than Caalin or Kiimiko ever had from the local population.

Abwaan, if you have ever read the constitution, the vice president has the right to announce the elections in the absence of the president. Further to being absent, when asked about the elections, Caalin insisted he will not step down before 2013. Everyone in Galkayo will tell you Caalin has been politically defeated and will be labled a "spoiler". Prof. Shirwac who was chosen to head the election committee did the right thing. As for Caalin announcing a second election committee to cause confusion by creating multiple elections and then claim to have been warning people about the very mess he created!! That only showed how desperate he was to spoil but the show ended when the inhabitants of Galkayo poored onto the streets in celebration not to mention celebrations ongoing around the globe at this moment. Caalin and his bitter diaspora buddies who held another press conference can stuff it. Galmudug doesn't need anymore time wasted. Its time for business adeer. Qaybdiid may not be our ideal leader and the fact he is more of a soldier rather than a politician doesn't change the reality of him being the only candiate that can clean up shop! Frankly that is all people are concerned with now.
