  2. here is a great article about Somaliland enjoy. http://wardheernews.com/Articles_06/may_06/ILLUSORY__SOMALILAND.pdf hahaha ,,, funny you read that ???? ,,,, seen it long time ago but all what i can say is they are a group of losers who can't even put a feet in somaliland let alone to talk about somaliland. All what they can do is to create such false articles just satisfy someone like you. I'm glad you read it but i'm sorry the authors know they created it for you only. The ICU gone once they started threatening somaliland and the same will go for the TFG if they start or even think to do the same. We need stability in all horn of Africa not only in Mogadishu and we support that with our hearts and mind. We believe it is Haram to be happy for the muslim's blood and killings. We met A/Lahi Yusuf before ,, during the SSDF and SNM and he knows the men he is facing so he is not that stup***d i guess. SNM did what he couldn't do at all and he realise that.
  3. SHARM EL SHEIKH, Egypt, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Egypt said on Thursday it understood why Ethiopia intervened militarily against Islamists in Somalia, despite an earlier Arab consensus that Ethiopian troops should withdraw. Egyptian presidential spokesman Suleiman Awad said President Hosni Mubarak stated the Egyptian position at a meeting with Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin. "President Mubarak expressed his understanding for the reasons behind the Ethiopian intervention in Somalia, which was based upon the request of the legitimate interim Somali government," Awad told reporters after the meeting. Before the Somali government and Ethiopian troops captured the capital Mogadishu last month, Arab governments said unanimously that Ethiopian troops should leave the country, which is a member of the Cairo-based Arab League. But conservative Arab governments such as Egypt's also had reservations about the Somalia Islamic Courts Council (SICC), which had imposed sharia law across much of southern Somalia. Awad added that Mubarak said he supported the deployment of an African peacekeeping force in Somalia. The SICC fled Mogadishu last week in the face of advancing government troops backed by Ethiopian tanks and warplanes. Many Somalis say they resent the government as an Ethiopian puppet propelled to power by Ethiopian troops, and analysts say the SICC may still launch an insurgency against a government they see as supported by a hated, Christian-led "occupier". In November, a U.N. report said Egypt was among a number of countries had provided training to the SICC. It said a senior retired Egyptian officer, who is also a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, was aboard a vessel carrying arms to Somalia. At the time, an Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman said the report was "totally untrue".

  10. The era of Islamic Courts has ended; but is TFG ready to govern? Six months ago, when Islamic Courts appeared on the horizon and became a prominent player in the Somali political arena, I predicated in my article “Amend the constitution”, published by Hiiraan-online that Ethiopia & other allied countries, namely the USA will intervene under the pretext of war on terror and the threat of the Islamic militants linked to Alqaeda. By the same token, to avoid a deeping conflict, I suggested the two opposing groups embrace one another and arrange a power-sharing formula and the party that rejects the peace initiative will at the end be the loser – the doomsayer’s scenario is proved to be true. We aren’t out of the woods yet on the current conflict and turbulent times is still lay ahead. Before, we anticipate what the future brings tomorrow, let us briefly reflect what went wrong on the Islamic courts and their stated goals. As any other previous movement, based on clan or interest group whichever it might be, the courts have had no agenda other than to rule the country by sharia law. They didn’t display any talent or understanding of the regional & international intricate policies and complex Somali tribal affiliations. The expansion of their influence to other regions, the attempt to overrun Baydhabo, the government base and the declaration of Jihad to Ethiopia were some of the reasons played a role in the failure of the Islamic Courts and finally led them to a stunning defeat. Will lessons be learned from the past ? Now TFG is in full control with the help of their Ethiopian backers, they shouldn’t attempt to avenge; but rather should heal the divisions and unite different clans & groups. They must protect the rights of every citizen and uphold the rule of law. After 16 yrs of turmoil, ordinary Somalis want to live in peace and have their human rights protected. If current government doesn’t work on the interest of its’ citizens and exasperate the prevailing situation of hatred & distrust, they will be opposed and the nation will again be engulfed by anarchy and destruction and loss of precious lives. They will face the same fate as their predecessors – driven out of power disgracefully with their backers. Resistance is futile At long last, with the help of our fellow brothers, Ethiopia achieved their ultimate dream: to conquer Somalia and colonize. It is a fact of life that Abyssinia is here to stay and to resist them is an exercise in futility. Fragmentation and opposition within ourselves is what the old enemy wants to exploit – siding or trading one clan or warlord against the other is a trick they have used in the past. We can overcome the ill-intentions of our big neighbor if we unite and work for the common good of our people. The current leaders’ responsibility are to device a strategy to extricate our nation from the Ethiopian trap. This means, we should deny them a reason to overstay our land and instead solicit the assistance and the intervention of other neutral states. We all know, Ethiopia doesn’t want to see an emerging sovereign Somali state with its full territorial integrity, united with Somaliland. An action-plan for the first 100 days. Build trust between communities & clans and give amnesty to anyone committed a crime during the civil war in order to secure stable environment. Disarm the general population, regardless of clan & region. Seek assistance of humanitarian aid for the displaced. Request United Nations and regional communities to assist in peacekeeping and peace enforcement. Start rebuilding the basic infrastructure, clean the roads and open public institutions. Open both air & sea ports and don’t impose levies on necessary goods coming into the country for a period of time (recovery). To avoid power vacuum, institute a temporary administrative structure and security apparatus for the capital and other cities and towns to tackle lawlessness.
  11. i said it is all dream ,, what else do u want me to say ???
  12. Regardless of all clans representatives in the TFG we still need to sort out some other things and clear the path for peaceful and trustful environment. Today is the last day of giving up the weapons, what do we expect tomorrow ??? Attack on the people who have weapons ?? ,, i don't think is the best option unless the TFG is not self confident. People just gone through deadly fightings and thousands were lost from the both sides ,,, they need to take a breath and think of peace instead of taking their weapons by force. I STILL SAY, PEOPLE'S HEARTS ,,,,, PEOPLE'S HURTS BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE ,,,,,

  14. You've been dreaming for 16 years ,,,,, i can't believe you're still dreaming will talk to you only when you wake up
  15. It is not about collecting weapons ,, it is about reconsiliation and rehabilitation ,,, clans can keep their weapons like Yemen for example ,, but before any dialogue of collecting weapons, trust must be there first. The TFG should focus on reconsiliation, rehabilitation, talks, setting the administration of the regions, and gaining the people's heart before asking them their weapon, then the people will volunterily give up their arms.
