Manchester United have signed Senegal Under-21 striker Mame Biram Diouf from Norwegian club Molde. United are currently on tour in Asia and manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed he had bolstered the squad with a mystery signing at the team hotel in Kuala Lumpur. "We signed a young player yesterday from Norway, who we've been looking at for two years," Ferguson said. "We weren't intending on signing anyone else after last week - we feel we have a full squad - but the situation accelerated to a point where other clubs started to make bids, so we had to decide whether we acted or didn't act. We decided to act and he'll be the last person we sign." Although Ferguson did not name the player it was later revealed by Molde that the player was Biram Diouf, who was also being tracked by Steve McClaren's FC Twente, Schalke'04, Udinese and Dutch Eredivisie side FC Groningen. "Mame Biram Diouf will go through medical checks at Manchester United next week and will join the club in January," the club said. The 21-year-old forward joined Molde in January 2007 and has scored 23 goals in just over 50 league appearances for the Norwegian club. United chief executive David Gill said: "He was signed yesterday and he needs a work permit. He'll stay on loan where he is and we'll look to bring him [to Manchester] in January." United have good links with Molde as former striker and now reserve team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was recruited from the club.

^^ We dont need a big name coz we got too many at united at the moment and just a signed a new player.. check it out.. Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Bordeaux winger Gabriel Obertan. GettyImages Gabriel Obertan: Now a Red Devil The 20-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the Premier League champions. Obertan, a Paris-born France Under-21 international who can fill several attacking roles, will have to wait for his first-team bow, however, as an unspecified minor injury will keep him out of United's forthcoming tour of the Far East. Obertan underwent a medical yesterday and reports in France have claimed he will cost the Red Devils around £3million. "Gabriel is a player we have tracked for a few years now, but because of his educational programme our efforts to get him here have always been delayed,'' United manager Sir Alex Ferguson told www.manutd.com. "We are delighted to get him now as he is an exciting prospect. We like to get young players and develop them, and we will see that in Gabriel over the next two years.'' Bordeaux sent Obertan on loan to Lorient for the second half of last season where he made 15 appearances, scoring one goal. "I am very happy to join Manchester United,'' the player added. "This is a big opportunity for me to play at such a great club. I am very excited to be here and I look forward to proving what I can do.'' Obertan scored against England Under-21s in March and took the Most Valuable Player award at last month's Toulon International youth tournament. He becomes Ferguson's third signing of the close season after Antonio Valencia and Michael Owen, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez have led the departures in an already eventful summer at Old Trafford.

Exclusive: Adebayor's Michael Owen style brochure This has just reached me. Emmanuel Adebayor's people have produced a brochure, similar to the one used to attract interest in Michael Owen, to help 'sell' him to other clubs. Arseblog has exclusively received a copy and you can download it for yourself here. http://www.oleole.co m/media/main/podcast s/arsecast/ADE_BROCH URE.pdf

Yeah, rejected then they choose Real.. what a shame but United are also looking at this guy from france.. Manchester United are leading the race to sign Girondins Bordeaux starlet Gabriel Obertan, according to the French Ligue 1 club. Gabriel Obertan: Bordeaux youngster The 20-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of France's brightest prospects and has been linked with a host of top clubs, including Inter Milan, AC Milan, Chelsea and Arsenal. But Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud claims that the Red Devils are closest to signing the France U21 international. "There is a very strong likelihood that the deal will go ahead," Triaud told L'Equipe. "Manchester United want to sign him and, for our part, we would be delighted to see Gabriel playing for such a prestigious club. "We will make the official announcement when the time is right." The winger was loaned out to Lorient by Bordeaux boss Laurent Blanc for part of last season but has featured in les Girondins' first team since he was 17. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player award at last month's Toulon International Youth Tournament.

A man woke up early in order to pray the Fajr prayer in the masjid. He got dressed, made his ablution and was on his way to the masjid. On his way to the masjid, the man fell and his clothes got dirty. He got up, brushed himself off, and headed home. At home, he changed his clothes, made his ablution, and was, again, on his way to the masjid On his way to the masjid, he fell again and at the same spot! He, again, got up, brushed him self off and headed home. At home he, once again, changed his clothes, made his ablution and was on his way to the masjid. On his way to the masjid, he met a man holding a lamp. He asked the man of his identity and the man replied 'I saw you fall twice on your way to the masjid, so I brought a lamp so I can light your way.' The first man thanked him and the two were on their way to the masjid. Once at the masjid, the first man asked the man with the lamp to come in and pray Fajr with him. The second man refused. The first man asked him a couple more times and, again, the answer was the same. The first man asked him why he did not wish to come in and pray. The man replied 'I am Satan.' The man was shocked at this reply. Shaitan went on to explain,'I saw you on your way to the masjid and it was I who made you fall. When you went home, cleaned yourself and went back on your way to the masjid, Allah forgave all of your sins. I made you fall a second time, and even that did not encourage you to stay home, but rather, you went back on your way to the masjid. Because of that, Allah forgave all the sins of the people of your household. I was afraid if i made you fall one more time, then Allah will forgive the sins of the people of your village, so I made sure that you reached the masjid safely.' So do not let Satan benefit from his actions. Do not put off a good that you intended to do as you never know how much reward you might receive from the hardships you encounter while trying to achieve that good. Assalamuallaykum

Manchester United are preparing to sign Gremio starlet Douglas Costa as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Brazilian's agent. GettyImages Gremio starlet Douglas Costa United's network of scouts have been tracking the 18-year-old attacking midfielder for the last two years, but the Premier League champions are now ready to make a firm offer. "They (Manchester United) have identified four or five possible replacements for Cristiano Ronaldo in the world, and Douglas is one of them," agent Cesar Bottega said. "We have been contacted by several clubs some time ago, including Manchester (United), but by South American ones as well." Douglas, who has received rave reviews in his homeland, has four years remaining on his contract with Gremio but reportedly has a £17.8m buyout clause. The diminutive U20 international is seen as one of the biggest up-and-coming talents in Brazil - alongside Santos winger Neymar and Palmeiras striker Keirrison - and is also a free-kick specialist. Costa generally plays through the centre but can also play on the left. Since an £80m fee was agreed with Real for Ronaldo, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has stepped up his hunt for a suitable replacement. Wigan Athletic winger Antonia Valencia is also a target.

Looks like Ronny has been even the chance to live his dream in madrid, i dont know whether to sad or happy.. Sad coz the preimer league will miss him along with all the United fans who witnessed he's growth into becoming the best player on the planet.. Happy coz he's done everything in england and needs a new challenge and also playing alongside Kaka is huge too.. Good luck, and thanks for them happy moments wearing the United jersey.. Bless..

Now, you talk of demise and a whole lot of nonsense.. United lost the Champions League that they won 12 months ago.. United are premier league champions and they did it 2 weeks before the season finished so if we are so rubbish how was that possible?? United had a mere set back and will bounce back next season as champions going for european glory.. The same way chelsea took the premier league to another level when the special one came along is the same way barcelona have rised the bar in european football.. I have been a catalan fan since the romario days and i wasnt suprised with barca because i watched all season with their new coach.. i was worried before the game and rightly so.. Great teams aways bounce back and i'm not fussed because in football anything is possible..
-
if they took the Champions League too i would be very suprised but i doubt it coz i remember it well from 99 that it was the first time any team won the league, domestic cup and european cup..
-
^^ your all right, we embrassed ourselfs and the premier league.. United were super confident and so was i. when you got Andrés Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Eto and Henry taking the mickey for 90 min you got be humble in defeat.. We got 3 out 5 titles so i'm happy with the season and we got silverware in the bag so bring on next season.. PS.. WELL DONE BARCELONA FOR THE HISTORIC TREBLE.. BUT NEVER FORGET WHO DONE IT FIRST LADS..
