...I have learn that if u want to destroy your kids...Send them there...Its a place where Shirk is promoted...critical thinking(Ahlul Kaalam)... Free mixing with Man...Wallahi i can go on forever...A child's environment is an incredible influence on them...But Hey is its Education right... Salafi online, I disagree with you bro. Public or secular schools don't necessarily destroy children. It is naturally ideal to have an Islamic school where everything is taught according to the Qura'n and the Sunnah but if that kind of education system isn't available, then one opts for the 'next best' thing. I attended a Catholic School my whole life and know of no one who attended an Islamic School (because there weren't any). If a family resides in a non-Muslim country, it is very important that they see to it that the kids attend 'madrasa' where Islam is taught as a complementary to the secular education. I was taught about the evolution theory in the morning and in the evening (malcaamad) the macalin taught us about Adam and Hawa (PBUT). So it is upto the parents to see to it that the children learn about the deen. Nur, Once upon a time, there were four Somali boys born to a rather wealthy business family. The four brothers were all in their late teens and their parents were well known in the neighbourhood for their piety, humility and reverity towards Islam. Another Somali family lived down the street, they were also known for their piety. That family had girls who were also in their late teens. What the families didn't know is that the four boys and girls got together and went clubbingalmost every weekend. The boys would steal their father's vehicle and pick up the girls on their way to one of the most popular clubs in the city. The parents knew nothing of their children's nocturnal activities and thought them to be God-fearing individuals. One early morning, the youngsters drove fast as they tried to get home before the parents awoke to the adan of the Fajr prayers. The car they were driving suddenly lost control and crashed, killing ALL of them in the car. Four boys and four girls, who were born to two Somali, Muslim families well known for their piety. A bottle of whisky was recovered in the car (they hadn't got rid of it) and eventually 'driving under the influence of alcohol' was recorded to be the cause of the crash. Feuds started between the two families, each blaming the others offsprings for the tragedy. That was a true story sxb, sad but true. Parents should do their best, but they can never predict what will be of their children.

# 6 - THE ROMANTIC = 6's are idealistic and need to feel useful to be happy. A strong family connection is important to them. Their actions influence their decisions. They have a strong urge to take care of others and to help. They are very loyal and make great teachers. They like art or music. They make loyal friends who take the friendship seriously. 6's should learn to differentiate between what they can change and what they cannot. Famous 6's Albert Einstein, Jane Seymour, John Denver, Meryl Streep, Christopher Columbus, Goldie Hawn Quite true...except the "They like art" part.

Yasmine, I think what they mean is 'any attire that resembles the male suit'.

I am looking forward to watching the Czechs, Dutch, Portuguese and Spaniards. I hope they make the final four.

Jidali, I didn't run, got banned for breaking the rules.

Milan has beaten Roma thrice this season, as a Rossoneri fan I'd say...WEMBE NI ULE ULE.

Shujui, Totti is by all means a very good player. But have you been watching La Liga this year? As you said, Ronaldinho is on fire and has been almost throught the season. He is BY FAR the best player in Spain (many claim in the world) this year. He hasn't been playing at the top for as long as Totti has been but I think he has potential to become a great player. I think him together with Totti and Henry are the three best players this year. I would rate them... 1. Ronaldinho 2. Totti 3. Henry 4. Kaka All four have had a major impact on their teams but Ronaldinho has impressed me the most.

I am suprised no one has mentionned OZ! Must be liked by weirdos  .
-
I'd also say Ronaldinho, Totti, Kaka and anyone who regularly watches Spanish football will agree that Valeron is a hell of a player.

That reporter must be a big Roma fan. Milan is top of the table, 5 point lead and has beaten Roma FOUR times this season. But all they got was critisism for Sheva playing lousily during the derby. Uuuurgghhh!

Liverani has improveda lot, he's one of Lazio's best players this season. Too bad he plays for the most racist team in Italy, a team whose fascist supporters carry Mussollini and Hitler's name and image on banners.

I would say mainly Jafar Al Sadiq. there are some things that are permitted by Imam Hanbali but not Imam Malik, by Shaafi' and not by Imam Hanafi. We (or maybe just I) have something from every school of thought and that's the reason to my answer. Nur, I know we have previously had lengthy discussions about this issue. As (I hope) you know, I am not Ithna-Cashari but subscribe somehow to that school (Jacfari but not Shi'ism) of thought because he was their teacher.

I love coffee but answered 'nice', I later regretted it, lol. Why the hell did we have to make a wish?

From the Thames? I am glad to see that am not the only one annoyed with this water mixing issue, it doesn't seem to be a problem with Londoners.

The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. if you can fake that, you've gotit made! -Groucho Marx (1890-1977) I might sound a bit "anti-semitic", but this quote by a Jew reminds me of his people.

The average Senegalese woman lives a very humble lifestyle compared to a PhD holder from the Middle East. Wealth is known to corrupt the soul and the wealthiest nation on earth is today the most gluttonous one. The USA has about 3% of the worlds population but consumes 40% of its natural resources. The IMF and World bank are also based in Washington, they are organisations that ensure that the poor in the world stay poor. Wealth doesn't ensure ethics and morals, good values do. Nurture, i.e. Islam, and not your genes decide your mode. Geneticists might argue otherwise. Liqaaye, if I have misunderstood your initial question, please inform me.

Just Cause, I think the theorist who moved to biology was a wise man/woman. Physics is indeed crazy. My field involves some EM, röntgen and gamma; diagnostic radiology. It's biology with some elements of physics. I would like to hear more about your thoughts on 'unification' but keep it short and clear, we have hijacked Sophist's thread and changed the track. Sophist, appologies mate! Athena, You are most welcome, am glad you liked it.

The Best Way To Study For A Test
Viking replied to Jaamac_Bootaan's topic in Developement | Projects
I don't think there's a 'good way', everyone has their own methods. In primary school, I studied with my favourite music in the background and it somehow worked. I then dropped the music later on and wrote down (very summarised) what I have read and then read my notes. Preferbly late at night so that I could read it in my dreams too. Might not work for another soul but did well for me. -

Sophist, Thanks for the rather chary welcome. I have already encountered Nur and it was indeed a pleasure reading his work again. I have deep respect for the brother and his work, he has made it his duty to enlighten and guide his brethren in a very humble manner - fi sabiiliLah. Somalinet misses him. This place somehow comes across as more prudent than somalinet could have more to do with the fact that almost every other member is a moderator and less to do with it's "sophisticated" nature and superiority. As to whether Farah and Sophist are the same person, I could only speculate on their rather striking similarities. Both... a) Current location (UK) b) Origin - Jidali c) Do/did philosophy and law - at the same uni d) Love sophistry - jargon, deceptive reasonning e) Adore ibn Taymiyyah Maybe it's just the somaliness in me bringing forth this hoard of paranoia. Just Cause, You sound like an intoxicated gnostic venturing into physics! I saw some stuff about the 'String theory' and was amazed by the idea, it sounded so out of this world. The idea of having so many dimensions parallel to ours is just mind-blowing. My line of work encompasses mainly EM. What do you think of the string theory? Is it viable? Do you think there will ever be a 'unification'? PS: Here's one link to the 'number 19 code' we discussed some time back. http://www.islamicproductions.com/19-chemistry.htm

I belong to the pessimistic camp when it comes to unifying Somalis under a nationalistic pretext. Loyalty to one's clan is far stronger than loyalty to one's country. In the pre-colonial era, Somalis never had demarcated territorial boundaries and felt free to move with their livestock wherever there was pasture and water. The different clans lived in areas traditionally known to be theirs though other clans could trespass or settle there in case of necessity such as draught. Clan wars over i.e. livestock were a common thing and, eventually, the colonialists scrumble for Africa led to the spread of Somalis to different countries. Somalis never had nationalistc ideas until the late forties and the British govt was on record to have held a meeting for all Somali leaders and elders at WalWal in 1943 with the aim of trying to sell them the idea of greater Somali but they rejected it. If Somalis are to live under one flag, I would hope that it is under the banner of Islam (and not within a trade union with its neighbours as the above poster has stipulated). For Islam is the remedy to all the ilnesses including clanism which is the clear obstacle that could derail any plans for peace and unification.

Sophist, You responded to someone earlier and commented about the so called "sophistication"... "Desert! Sophistication my dear is an attire that those who are naturaly naked try to cover themselves on! get my drift?" I agree with you 100% on that, but you then went ahead and contradicted yourself later on... Just Cause, this is far more sophisticated forum in comparison to that wretched place Somnet. I would highly recomend you to join if you think you have what it takes-- Just like my mate Just Cause, I am also from that "wretched place" called Somalinet and naturally my question would be... Do you think that we (people from the wretched Somalinet) have what it takes to cover ourselves with an attire that we naturally don't possess?

Nur, Nice seeing you again bro. How are things going with Nurtel? I have met some breast-cancer patients who have had implants (more like prosthesis in their case) after a mastectomy. They do that to try and "look normal", just as they did before the operation. Is that considered cosmetic or medicinal?
