The inclusion of some males in the list confused me; it's crystal clear the letter and list is meant solely for females. Thanks for the advice; I have changed my mind about including my name in the list.

  9. Originally posted by Northerner: Lets not pretend the Taliban set a good example ya Afghani. Where is the source of what we read or learn about the Taliban? Western media outlets. If the Taliban set a good example, those who control the media would honestly inform Muslims? Before the Taliban, the Afghan mujahideens and Al-Qaeda were portrayed as the good guys because they were serving the West's interests by fighting the Soviets. Now, the Taliban and Al-Qaeda are no longer the good guys, because it's not in the West's interests that they rule with Sharia', because Sharia' makes Muslims superpowers.

I don't get the lament; Dubai or the UAE is ruled with a secular system, not Sharia'. If this was Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban and they served alcohol, then your lamenting would have been understandable.

  16. If the divorce occurred for a justified reason (bad husband, iwm), then I don't mind marrying a divorcee, even one with children. In any case, men should give priority to girls/women who need a husband, not those who want or fancy a husband.

  22. Originally posted by Northerner: I dont think so. The bureaucracy involved with research and accreditation by the WHO just takes too long. The research probably took the longest. I have read about those researches and results years ago; many notable Western institutions didn't recommend circumcision at the time.
  23. Originally posted by ibtisam: I thought the majority of the population is Sub Saharan Africa was Muslim anyway, so they practice would have been used.
  24. Originally posted by Northerner: But modelling studies have shown that if male circumcision was more widely available, millions of lives, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa would be saved. The results of those studies were concluded years ago. Circumcision recommendation/adoption was intentionally delayed by the West because it's associated with Islam. As a result, millions of Africans lost their lives because of the recommendation/adoption delay. Never mind, this is likely to lead many converting to Islam.
