  1. ^Your proof proves nothing. Where did Khalaf say the students will come from? From the universities and schools (definitely high schools). This means grownup physically-fit students. Khalaf didn't say they will come from elementary or middle schools. As for whether 17-19 year olds are fit for combat; most are fit, and even the ranks of Western armies include combatants of such ages. So, it's still a TFG propaganda. And until we hear from ICU leaders that they used kids unfit for combat, it will remain a TFG propaganda. As for the pictures, it proves nothing. Those children are there for moral support for ICU fighters.

    Have you ever?

  4. Originally posted by Suldaanka: Why is Nuraddin being worried about the Islamosation of Somali culture when its the Westernisation that presents the most threat to our diin and dhaqan? Good question. At the very least, how about he worries about the damage Western values, morals and standards are doing to our children and even grownups? How about toxic waste dumped into Somalia by the West? How about he worries about what the waste is causing to Somali children who are born deformed (for proof, check Dayniile.com and other Somali sites)?
  5. Originally posted by General Duke: They also published teens taken as prisoner from the ICU. One admiting to being forced to joining the clan jihad. There's no proof of pictures showing ICU kids who died fighting the invaders, occupiers and collaborators. About the kid "admiting to being forced to joining" the ICU, it was a TFG propaganda.

  7. Originally posted by Taako Man: No my friend. The ICU sent kids to the frontlines. Not too long ago, news sites published pictures of grownup slain ICU mujahideens (may Allah bless them). If what you say is true, that there were ICU kids (supposedly thousands), why isn't there a picture or two that proves your and TFG's allegation?
  8. Originally posted by Caano Geel: when did islam equal dress code? Islam is a way of life, and that includes Islamic dress code. Within the corporate world of the West, women have to dress conservatively and not show much flesh. Western women are advised to dress conservatively so not to attract unwanted attention or flirtation, prevent a possible rape, iwm. These are preventive measures meant to protect both men and women. Islam provided Muslims far superior measures more than 1400 years ago. Surely, a transparent dirac that shows a woman's sensitive parts isn't a helpful, civilized or appropriate dress code. I keep reading hijaab isn't or isn't equal to jilbaab. For those making that statement, what's the difference? BTW, this is a good article about what imperialists have done to Muslims regarding hijab: http://www.ezsoftech.com/akram/hijab.asp
  9. Originally posted by Taako Man: Did the ICU fight to the death against the TFG? How come indhacadde is supposedly in Europe, Shariif, Cadoow et al are in yemen and the financiers like Cadani ran to Kenya? Yes, the ICU fought to the death against the invaders, occupiers and collaborators. Didn't the US and its Ethiopian ally massacre thousands of ICU mujahideens? About Indhacadde, he was in Saudi Arabia for hajj when the US and Ethiopia preemptively and surprisingly striked the ICU. Otherwise, he would have been at the fronlines. As for Sheikh Sharif, he's in the political wing of the ICU, whereas others like Cayrow are in the military wing of the ICU.
  10. Originally posted by Shucayb: Sure, the Afqhanis didn't come up with the Hijab we were today, it's totally distinct with the one our ladies wear. Good observation. I challenge those who claim the style of Somali hijab was copied from Afghanis to post a picture of each to show the similarity.
  11. Originally posted by Taako Man: We will fight to the death but not die before the fight. Did the TFG fight to the death against the ICU?
  12. Originally posted by me: Bush and Blair rule with the consent of their people Are you saying Bush and Blair massacred more than 600,000 Iraqis with the consent of their people?
  13. Originally posted by Taako Man: Somalis and Suicide don't go hand in hand. The same was said about Afghanis.
  14. Originally posted by me: there won't be a Islamic state unless ts a SOMALI-islamic state According to you, what are the necessary requirements for a SOMALI-islamic state?
  15. These numbers are impressive. However, how effective can they be against the insurgency? BTW, what plans has the TFG got against suicide attacks? Surely, by now you must know the recruits would be targeted, just like in Iraq.

  17. Originally posted by Jacaylbaro: And who killed thousands in Chechenia ????? Putin is among the worst who massacred thousands of Muslims. All I am saying is, Bush and Blair are worse than him.
  18. Bush and Blair massacred more than 600,000 Iraqis in a span of few years; I don't see how Jong-il, Khamenei, Jintao, Shwe, Mugabe, Zenawi, Putin or others can be worse than them.

Originally posted by Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar: This jilbaab business arrived late '80s, perhaps no earlier than 89 where a very few women wore it, and aad ugu faafay after the war, especially after 2000. First, Jilbaab (especially the one with the black color) didn't arrive in Somalia in the late 80's. Although not widespread, it was familiar among some Somalis, especially the coastals. Second, some Somalis are only familiar with the history of Somalia from the pre-colonial to the present times. Several hundreds years ago, cities and towns such as Harar, Zaila, Mogadishu, Marka, Baraawe and others were important Islamic centers where Sharia' was the system of governance. Those cities and towns had strong trade and commercial relationships with the Islamic world. Famous Muslim travelers visited Somalia throughout those centuries and documented their observations. Hijab, Jilbaab, Niqaab or other forms of modesty dress were familiar in Somalia. From the onset of the colonial times, Somalis have been subjected to a campaign of secular brainwashing, making what was familiar to them unfamiliar. What we are seeing today is, we are rediscovering what was familiar to us. As for Nuruddin Farah, as I have already outlined, he's internationally acclaimed for an obvious reason. He's not straightforward or brave as Ayan Hirsi or others, but nonetheless, he's serving the West by attacking Islam.

  22. Originally posted by TheSomaliEconomist: Tell me, where have you been under the past 16 years of anarchy? US?, Canada? Europe? Indulging in comfortable western living? Is that how you view being in the US, Canada or Europe? "comfortable western living"? It appears your horizon is very narrow. In case if you didn't know or have spent most of your entire life in the West; living in Somalia (or Africa) is way better than living in the West. I am talking about the standard of life. Even with their modest lifestyle and the little they got, Somalis at home (or Africa) are more healthier, happier, less stressful, more social, more active physically, more optimistic, more positive, iwm than their counterparts in the West. What they lack is security; that's why many Somalis were returning to back home when the ICU was ruling, because there was security. So, if "comfortable western living" is all you know, then I understand where you're coming from. However, know there are other lifestyles, and what you consider "comfortable western living" isn't necessarily what or how it is.
