Good analysis and solutions.

Originally posted by Caamir: Shebelle media supported the Islamic courts in big bias terms. It is one among several media heavily financed by the Islamists to promote its motto of setting up an Islamic state of Taliban style. What's wrong with an Islamic state of Taliban style? The Taliban had many positives (security, eradicating drugs, minimal corruption, iwm) which even the West acknowledged and praised.

Originally posted by Sky: Half a million innocent Somalis have perished before. Where is the remorse for them? It was the clan president and his cabinet that compromise of warlords and thugs (Caydid, Qanyare, Hiraale, Qaybdid, Dheere, iwm) who are responsible for the half a million innocent Somalis who have perished. The clan president is a war criminal, in case if you didn't know.

Originally posted by Caamir: Several Sweden based relief agencies also promised to construct water drilling rigs in Sanaag, Togdher, and Bosaaso. Sweden is a very generous country dedicated to fighting poverty and curtailing voilence. However, Sweden and its relief agencies are very active in the business of evangelizing Somalis. As they say, nothing is for free.

A tanker passing the SF bridge. In any case, if the Djibouti-Yemen bridge is impossible in terms of engineering or finances, there would be no talk about it, plus construction would not begin in two months time.

Originally posted by General Duke: If those Muslim leaders never wanted to meet him he would not have been invited in their countries? Ghadafi sold it, even I was disapointed with the timing. As for Sharif & Xasan Dahir they and their clan courts have lost everything, let alone be leaders of Somalia. There's a difference between meeting Tony Blair at his home and him meeting you at your home. There are diplomatic protocols to follow; you let him come to meet you. Blair wasn't invited to Sudan or Libya; he forced himself on going there or requested permission to go there. As for Sharif & Xasan Dahir, they are the true leaders of Somalia. Unlike the clan president who was elected by warlords and thugs in a foreign country, those leaders were chosen by those who count; Somalia's citizens.

Originally posted by General Duke: Sharif Ahmed and Xasan Dahir where leaders of what nation? As for GHadafi, not only did he meet Blair What about Omar AL Bashir? Here is a pic from 2004.. What about the AMIR of the two Mosques? We are talking about the clan president going to the UK to meet the war criminal. Now, your pictures do not take place in the UK; the war criminal went to Libya and Sudan to meet their leaders. I didn't say king (not AMIR) Abdullah didn't meet the war criminal. As for Sharif Ahmed and Xasan Dahir, they are the legitimate leaders of Somalia.

Originally posted by General Duke: Anyhow is Yusuf the first Muslim leader to meet Blair, since the Iraq invasion. Some Muslim leaders didn't meat with Blair since the Iraq invasion. They include Omar Al-Basher, Qaddafi, Hassan Dahir Aweys, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, Ahmadinejad and others. The clan president could have met UK opposition leaders instead of the war criminal.

Originally posted by General Duke: Blair country also has given a home to more Somali's than any Arab, or Muslim nation has. How does giving a home to more Somalis absolve Blair from killing more than 600,000 Iraqi Muslims? What kind of logic is yours?

I see the clan president had a meeting with war criminal Tony Blair. Did you forget Blair is responsible for the death of more than 600,000 Iraqi Muslims?

Originally posted by me: No not because its long, but because its a busy shipping lane. You cannot just construct a bridge on a busy shipping lane without there being an International consensus. Yemen or Djibouti alone cannot decide whether to build a bridge there. Thats why I am saying I would believe it if they said that they would build a tunnel. They have to ask for PERMISSION first. Plus what benefit will it have for Africa or the Middle East? Nada Nothing Nopes. The problems or Africa and M.E are corruption and mismanagement, they should deal with that first and stop wasting time on fantasy projects. How does a bridge interfere with or affect a busy shipping lane? I don't believe it does. There are other bridges in many nations, some local bridges, others connecting nations, some with far more traffic than traffic in Bab al-Mandib. I am sure you're familiar with some US bridges, like the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge (suspension bridge, 14 km long, 160 m height from water level) which is one of the busiest bridges in the United States. About asking permission to construct, what law requires that?
-
Originally posted by me: This is bogus, if they said a tunnel, I could have accepted it,but a bridge? Why do you think it's bogus? Because a 14 kilometers bridge is impossibly long? There are far longer bridges, some even connecting nations. The bridge in question would span Yemen's Red Sea island of Perim across the strait of Bab al-Mandib to Djibouti.

Originally posted by Modesty: Why should I care? Well, I happen to be a former fan of Mr.Britney I am curious; what did you like about Britney? I mean, no actor, actress, artist or singer has managed to impress me, so far. What could I possibly like about any of those? At the end of the day, I would pay $$$ and waste time watching a movie or listening to music that adds practically nothing to my wellbeing. Is a movie or music going to make me physically fit, healthy, wise, learn valuable knowledge or information, iwm? I doubt it. I cannot comprehend what could make someone become infatuated with or almost worship an actor, singer or artist. I cannot, because an actor, singer or artist isn't a real person who I interact with on a daily basis. A real person such as a parent, sibling, teacher, police officer, sheikh, judge, iwm. A real person who can have a lasting impact on my life.

Originally posted by mystic: People, today in Mogadishu, are blaming the Ethiopians. Most don't like what they have done, uninvited, in our country. The collaborators argue it's the TFG, Somalia's "legitimate" government, that invited the Ethiopians.

Originally posted by Cambarro: I say that to attribute the strengths of Western society to Democracy is to be tricked by an illusion. The strengths of Western society have little or nothing to do with so-called Democracy. In what regard is the West strong? Economically. How did the West achieve it? Through slavery, colonialism, imperialism, exploitation, opportunism, iwm. Democracy is a very flawed system. The wishes of the majority aren't respected nor fulfilled. Instead, it's the wishes of the few filthy riches (corporates, lobbyists, interest groups, iwm) that are respected and fulfilled. In theory, there's little difference between Democracy and Dictatorship. Both have different means and methods, but share one critical aspect; the wishes of the majority aren't respected nor fulfilled. For instance, in Democracy, protests or demonstrations are regulated, but hardly achieve anything. With Dictatorship, protests or demonstrations aren't allowed because it can change something. In Democracy, select high class people rule (also rotate the rule between themselves) the country. In Dictatorship, there's a sole ruler and his inner circles who rules a country until there's a coup d'etat. In short, both systems have the same goal.

14 km isn't that long; there are some people who swam across the English Channel, a distance of 34 km (the narrowest part of the channel).
