  1. What we have here is a bunch of petulant pirates asking us to call a spade not a spade but a soil redistribution implement. Since only the most dangerous pirates alone are here to discuss what they should be called and not called, Ibtisam, Shabeel and the rest must leave this club of ignominy so that they declare themselves 'proactive hosts of foriegn seafarers'. The only thing I want to request from the pirates here is to do something about the British couple they hold. If you want us to consider your request, sii daaya lamaanahaan:
  2. Jacphar and the other guys here are bringing issues in the political section here. Emperor arintiisa ha ku soo dhuumanina ee see you in the politics. Halkan kaftan iyo hambalyo unbaa taal! And everybody has his way of congratualting Emperor. Seriously, I am surprised in rag isqor bilaa liis ah ay arintan ka hadlaan. Dalmar ma aqaan, laakin Jacphar waa nooc minal Japaan xiiqsan oo cadiifad qabiil oon macno lahayn meel kasta la taagan. A bit of advice boy - make a flag for Emperor, intaad buuqa iska daysid. Aw Muuse unbaan se la yaabanahay. Dalmar General Duke'na u ducee adeer. Aniga xilli aan Las Anod wax ka sheegay majiro, even after they came up with the rather funny Khusuusi.
  3. The thread says they bullied the old man, and that is true. The beating part is based on conjecture. But what is shameful is how boys are treating an old blind man. Is that acceptable?
  4. I am disappointed with dhubad. How can he talk about whether the old man is beaten or not. The issue is what can justify the way a 20 year old boy is introgetting a grand-father!!? Shakiirullah, the good thing is the world will fight your way of Islam and in few years you will be a sad relic of what once threatened the world.
  5. Tuujiye, after the World Cup, you will learn how tactical descipline is more important than technique. Ronaldinho was in 2006 team and we have seen how pathetic they were! If Brazil doesn't win the World Cup, it won't be because Ronaldinho is missed.
  6. sookaad rer-magaal weeeyn aheyd, waa maxay sheekada dadkeed dhex bodaysaa? Emperor waan u duceeyey as far as I am concerned.
  7. Aragash is hugely popular among the Tigre's; Meles will have difficulty if he runs against her. Unlike him, who provided political leadership from Khartoum and London for most part of the struggle, she was a fierce fighter, who have huge following among the rank and file of the TPLF. When the TPLF split over the war with Eritrea, she was one of the 12 Central Committee members who wanted to oust Meles, accusing him of being soft on Eritrea. In a recorded party debate in Tigray, she strangled Meles by the neck, and shook him several times calling him a "a traitor". To which, the diminitive rascal responded by calling Aragash " a mule", in an apparent reference to her problem of not being able to have children. So low can Meles go! But I think Meles will win using government money and muscle. She can only beat him in fair elections.
  8. This is the team that will play on March 2 against Ireland. This is the last friendly for brazil before they head to South Africa. So, it tell you something. Why Ronaldinho will not be good for Brazil is because he doesn't come back and help the defence, and he exposes the team for counter-attack as he losses the ball in comical ways trying to do some tricks. Ivory Coast might do well if they get *** Hiddinik as a coach as expected. But still, they are a piece of cake for brazil.

A much talked about subject but I think Sii'arag is the first to write about it. Well-written. However, I do think the last word of advice will fall on deaf ears and we will have more Warsame's 'working' for the people of Somalia, when their own children need them most.
  10. Someone's signature in SOL reads every absurdity has its champion or something to that effect. It is shame some ask for a Proof, in vain attempt of denial. The old man at no point said he has to be worshipped. And simply his age and his health condition is enough to exempt him of any wrong-doing. Lately, I have become a supporter of Ahlu-sunnah, and will not even mind their fetishes; for this is a matter of choosing the lesser evil. Religion must not interfer in politics and it has dawned on me rather late that all our freedoms are at stake if even the likes of Sheikh Sharif become the decision-makers in the long run.
  11. May he sire a prince and not another pirate!
  12. They will kill him very soon. They are kids thirsty for blood.
  13. Rio de Janeiro: Ronaldinho's hopes of a place in Brazil's World Cup squad faded on Tuesday when he was not picked by coach Dunga for their last warm-up against Ireland in London next month. The forward, who last played for Brazil in April 2009, has put in some good performances for AC Milan lately and expectations had been high of a recall. "Every player has chances (of a place in the squad). At this moment he isn't part of it," Dunga told reporters at the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) headquarters after naming a 22-man squad. Robinho, who has returned to Santos on loan from Manchester City precisely to try to secure a place in the Brazil squad, was included among four forwards. The March 2 match at Arsenal's Emirates stadium will be Brazil's first of the year after an impressive 2009 during which they finished top of the South American World Cup qualifying group and won the Confederations Cup. Brazil, favourites to win their sixth world crown in South Africa in the finals starting on June 11, are in Group G with North Korea, Ivory Coast and Portugal. Squad: Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (AS Roma) Defenders: Maicon (Inter Milan), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Gilberto (Cruzeiro), Michel Bastos (Olympique Lyon), Lucio (Inter Milan), Luisao (Benfica), Juan (AS Roma), Thiago Silva (AC Milan) Midfielders: Elano (Galatasaray), Felipe Melo (Juventus), Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Josue (VfL Wolfsburg), Julio Baptista (AS Roma), Kaka (Real Madrid), Kleberson (Flamengo), Ramires (Benfica), Lucas (Liverpool) Forwards: Luis Fabiano (Sevilla), Robinho (Santos), Adriano (Flamengo), Nilmar (Villarreal) ------------- No doubt Dunga is right on this, but he may be making mistake not to include Diego as well as for including Adriano. Actually, it looks one of the midfielders will be dropped as Brazil should take 3 goalkeepers to the WC.
  14. I am  someone is taking Al-haji Dr. COWKE seriously!!!!
  15. Inaalilaah wa inaa ilaahi raajicuun. These are Maaddey's and Shakirullahi's mujaahideen!
  16. There are no Somali's of Somaliland origin in Somali Regional State, unless with your usual frankness we are talking of Somaliland as I-land!! Is la yaab. All of the clans in Somalia live in Somali region too. Somaliland origin ku lahaa? Waa rer-hebel oo waa reerkayaga maad iska tidhaahdid? Pastoralist communities who live side by side have had issues and conflicts since time immemorial. But if someone wants to see an O clan member who kills another pastoralist over water and pasture conflict as ONLF, so be it! Waagay SNM tu jirtayba kolkay reeruhu islaayaan SNM baa na soo weerartay baa Siyaad Barre hub looga qaadan jiray. Haddana Meles baa wax lagaga rabaa ONLF baa Somalilander dishay! Cheap.
  17. from my own calculations, the final points tally will be: Arsenal 82 Chelsea 80 Man U 79 I am assuming Arsenal will win all games except against Man City, and Tottenham; Man U and Chelsea will draw, but they will win all their games except Man U derby and against Liverpool. It will be tight! The toughest fixtures: Chelsea will play Man U, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa. Man U will play Liverpool, Man city, Chelsea,Tottenham and please don't forget Fulham and Stoke Arsenal will play Man city and Tottenham, but really should drop no points against any other team they face. if they could win any of the two games with Tottenham or city, they can even afford a slip up with smaller teams. GO gunners!
  18. age is catching up with the old guard of Chelsea. The title is between Man U and Arsenal. From the fixtures they have, Arsenal should win it. And that will do justice to football. They are exciting to watch. As chelsea found out without Petr Cech, without a good goalkeeper, you have little chances of winning games. That is Arsenal's problem, not that they dribble too much. The veteran meastro Mario Zagallo was a fan of keeping the ball away from your opponents. Ngonge, Saaxiib, liverpool is out of the four. You need to manage your expectations.
  19. Priceless! Gabdhaha JWXO aan rabaa Inaan mid ka guursadaa!
  20. Originally posted by Raamsade: Of course Israeli government would never do that for moral reasons. Which shows, in my opinion, the higher moral plain Israel occupies compared to its Muslim/arab arch nemesis. In contrast, Arab/Muslim counterparts would feel no moral restraint in blowing up the whole hotel if they could kill one Israeli official. It seems to me that in the eyes of some in this world, Israel can do nothing right in its battle for survival. If it uses conventional military power against those that send rockets and suicide bombers against its cities, Israel is guilty of War Crimes. Despite the fact that Hamas and other Islamists deliberately use civilians as human shields; using hospitals, mosques and schools as weapons depot and staging grounds... Israel is guilty of war crime if it fights back. But when Israel quietly assassinates avowed enemies without a SINGLE collateral victim, Israel has committed a genocide. They should've just blown up the whole bloody hotel! What Israel's critics are basically asking is for it to sit back and do nothing as its enemies slowly bring about its demise. But they're discounting one critical distinction between modern Jews and the old, docile and supine Jews. Modern Jews have vowed to never passively walk into gas chambers ever again. They will fight for self-determination and right to exist as equal with dignity. When Arabs/Muslims abandon their deep and atavistic hatred of Jews, accept the Jewish people's right to self-determination and Israel's right to exist, stop their fanciful designs of driving the Jews into the sea... when Arabs/Muslims do that like Jordan and Egypt have somewhat, they'll find a willing partner in Israel. (1)It is a common belief that when confronted with an uncomfortable situation, ostriches- which have the distinction of having eyes bigger than their brains- tend to bury their heads in the sand so that they do not see the approaching danger. The story, howver, is a controversial one, with some claiming it is just a myth. But the story forms the gist of denial, what Malika and psychologists would call " cognitive dissonance". Why is this relevant? It is relevant because it explains the basis of Raamsade's false assertions here. For someone whose religion is supposed to be rationality, he sounds very irrational and unreasonable. How can he claim Israel would not blow up a hotel in Dubai, for moral reasons? Is this not the same man who strangles us for facts and figures when it comes to debate on abstract religious matters? Who have displaced the largest number of people from their houses? who have taken over the land of someone and keeps it while the owner of the house is languishing in abject penury next door? Who have razed Beirut to the ground just few years back? Who have flattened Gaza, using white phosphate and dangerous substances? The question here is not whether Isreal is threatened by Arabs or whether its claim of the land is legitimate. The question is how can Ramsade deny the brutality of the Israeli's when the world have seen a father being shot after crying over his dead son (totally unarmed) some years back? Ramsade's hate for Arabs (whom he holds responisible for turning Somali's into muslims) have blinded him even from his suppossed religion of "reason" and "objectivity". This has helped me understand what Frederick Mann calls the "unreality imperative", in his seminal paper, "the many forms of denial", which he says is the " strong urge to distort or deny aspects of reality- by creating or accepting "unreal beliefs" because confronting them and seeing certain aspects of reality for what they are is considered too "uncomfortable", "threatening" or "painful". John Shumaker's basic thesis in his two books "wings of illusion" and "the corruption of reality" is also that certian aspects of reality are unpalatable to human consciousness/intelligence. To cope with this, humans have developed a "counter-intelligence" that enables us to escape harsh reality with unreal beliefs. Ramsade is evading the fact of Isreali brutality by developing false attitudes about Isreali morality when it is manifestly clear that Israeli behaviour is inconsistent with his attitudes. He can accuse me that I too have developed a 'counter-intelligence' of denying jewish predicament, but that is a charge I accept at face value. It is him who presents himself as the embodiment of rationality, reason and fairness and hence, it is he who has to prove he is all of this. (2)On the Dubai issue, it is not because Isreal did have a moral considerations that they didn't blow up the Hotel. It is because such operation might have been more complicated and its result less sure. What if they bomb the Hotel but the target escapes unscathed? What if they are caught while smuggling the particles for the bomb? What if the bomb-planter panicks and it goes off when the target is not inside the hotel? It was practical feasibility considerations that could have determined the method of assassination, not moral considerations. I respect ailamos. He is a fair guy.
  21. I am puntist, as in racist. But, you are a full blown clanist. Can we settle for that! Being a puntlander is a disposition, being a pirate is a choice. So, the two are not interchangeable. Why one would curse and declare "the future is a forbidding land" when he has the the choice of saying "the future is Somalia" fails commensense.
  22. Originally posted by General Duke: A&T: So which one did you apply for the Prison break or the Warden? If that is a shame, it is a collective shame. GD you are a clanist, I am not. I don't cheer for Axmed Madoobe but you worship Faroole, Cadde muse etc. I don't cheer for Xassan Turki but you die for Yey. I don't wish for a jubba-land enclave, but you root for a Puntland state that is based on clan. I don't take political positions in Somalia's conflict based on where I stand on the 4.5 formula. You do. If I support ONLF it is because it is the only game in town. They are not part of Somalia's warring factions. They are fighting Ethiopia. If they were General Duke Liberation front, or ZFLF or TYPF i would still have supported. Admitedly, I have biases against the political establishments that hail from Puntland. It is an area I need to work on, but with people like you, my biases seem to be confirmed by the day.
  23. Somaliland came out of anger and vengence, Puntland came out of envy and ana-waa-ikan mentality. Very little to choose between to be fair.
  24. anyone who thinks somali politics can be discussed without discussing clans is in denial. That doesn't make me one a clanist but a realist. But if I am asked is being clanish a good thing, I will say it is not.
