  5. Forget the Remote: Control TV By Waving Your Hand Touchscreens are so yesterday. Remote controls? So last century. The future is controlling your devices with a simple wave of the hand. A wiggle of the fingers will change television channels or turn the volume up or down. In video games, your movements will control your onscreen digital avatar. It's called 3-D gesture recognition and while it may not be in stores this Christmas a number of technology companies are promising that it will be by next year. Softkinetic, a Brussels-based software company, is one of the leaders in the gesture-control field and has teamed up with US semiconductor giant Texas Instruments and others to make this touchless vision of the future a reality. Besides TI, Softkinetic has forged partnerships with France's Orange Vallee for interactive TV, another Belgian firm, Optrima, a maker of 3-D cameras and sensors, and with Connecting Technology, a French home automation company. "On the consumer side you have three markets -- television, video games and personal computers," Softkinetic chief executive Michel Tombroff told AFP in a telephone interview. "The objective is to be on the consumer market at the end of next year, by Christmas, so people can buy these things," he said. "In the same way that the Nintendo Wii completely changed the way that people play video games this 3-D camera technology will allow us to completely transform the way people interact with television," Tombroff said. http://news.discovery.com/tech/television-remote-gesture-recognition.html

Valkyrie is a movie based on true story.its all about a group of high-ranking German officers wanted/tried to assassinate Adolf Hitler, and take the power of the military command i.e military coup. its an amazing, brilliant movie, real piece of art.I just liked how the officers ended up their life. p.s its good movie to watch and i hope it will change the minds to those who like to overthrow their own government. here is part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5soDYsuEdY&feature=fvw

  14. Dear sheikhs, as-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullah. Is it permissible to bury males and females in a single grave?Jazakum Allahu khayran Wa `alaykum as-salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger. Dear Muslim sister, it gives us all pleasure to receive you question. May Almighty Allah help us do our work for the sake of Him! In Islam, burying the dead was legislated as an act of honoring the deceased, protecting their bodies from the beasts or birds of prey, and preventing the smell of decaying corpses from harming those alive. As for your question, it is not allowed to bury a man and a woman in a single grave except in case of a necessity that warrants it. In his response to this question, Dr. `Ali Jum`ah Muhammad, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, said, There is a consensus among scholars on the impermissibility of burying more than one person in a single grave, unless there is a necessity, such as when there is insufficient space in the graveyard, when there is no gravedigger available, or when there is no empty grave available. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions used to bury each individual in a separate grave, except in the case of a necessity. When there is a necessity, the most meritorious dead person should be buried in the direction of the Ka`bah, followed by the next in the degree of merit, which is estimated according to the extent to which the dead person was preferred as an Prayer leader. This agrees with a hadith reported by Al-Bukhari and narrated by Jabir, who said, On the day of [the Battle of] Uhud, we complained to the Messenger of Allah saying, "O Messenger of Allah! It is so difficult for us to dig a grave for every [dead] person!" So, the Messenger of Allah said, "Dig deep, dig well, and bury two or three persons in a single grave." They [Muslims present] said, "O Messenger of Allah! Whom should we bury first?" He replied, "Bury the one who memorized more of the Qur'an." Jabir then said, "My father was the third of three buried in the same grave." A wall of earth should be made as a barrier between any two individuals buried in the same grave. A father should be buried before his son, out of respect for the father, even if the son were more meritorious. A mother should be buried before her daughter. However, women must not be buried in the same grave with men, unless there is a confirmed necessity. If there is a confirmed necessity, then the condition of making a barrier of earth between two individuals must be fulfilled. Moreover, a male should be buried before a female (even if she is his mother), and he should be placed at the head of the grave and the female at the other end. May Allah guide us all to what pleases Him!
