  1. Well if it wasnt for the ethio troops, the adress of TFG would be in Nairobi, I doubt that was amusing to you was it. Duke, those cowards you support back home cannot hide behind ethio troops forever, They will get what is coming to them soon enough,
  2. There will be no envoy from Somaliland at that conference. this conference is clan based and has no substance whatsoever to Somaliland.
  3. Lol, this dude is funny. Still, he has the same kind of legitimacy as cabdulahi yusuf and his TFG goons---> none
  4. Xanthus, I think you are being too harsh on socod_badane, if he really feels like that, one ought to commend socod-badane for seeing reality on the ground
  5. Well lets hope their fortunes fare better then those of the SYL in the long term
  6. It is a celebration of the day that Somaliland announced its independence on May 18th 1991
  7. Sxb, I think it is you that is fuming and full of hot air. i mean what is with all the cursing and effing. did it finally get a bit too much for you?
  8. 11. Somaliland secession issues (address their fears – give them incentives) SXB, What do you think Somaliland is? A dog who which you can wave a bone to and expect to come running? People who are a too ignorant to the truth aren’t going to get anywhere with Somaliland sxb, The Somaliland people are strong willed and there is nothing that anyone in Somalia, Ethiopia or the whole world can do to change their minds. No incentive is big enough for Somalilanders to give up the independence they worked so hard to earn and get. Only those corrupted money hungry morons like Buuba and Kaluun will come running when you offer ‘your incentives’. This reconciliation attempt I think will be another farce with no really beneficial outcomes to Somali’s in Somalia. This is largely due to the fact that even the issues that are to be discussed, if your list is anything to go by, is to far-fetched and brings the phrase ‘‘trying to walk before you can crawl’’ to mind. You can not discuss issues like Somaliland’s Independence and the Puntland-Somaliland dispute when your country is being run by Ethiopians and money hungry stooges lie Cabdulaahi Yusuf and Maxamed Geedi. Somalia first needs to sort its own internal problems out and we all know those problems are huge and take a lot of time, effort and co-ordination to sort out. Co-ordination is key as at the moment people like you have your priorities mixed up. You need to worry about your own house first before you start talking about the grand house of Somaliland. The Somaliland people are celebrating the 16th anniversary of their independence and there is no way that independence is ever going to be surrendered again. I do applaud you for your efforts to regain peace in Somalia
  9. Ma'shallah, Its a great day and lets rejoice ourselves. dont let these haterz and pessimists here ruin it.
  10. Not much of a develoment but any progress is progress welcomed
  11. SomaliECon, I was referring to outsider help in terms of Ethiopians and Americans but your impatience and knack of jumping to conclusions didnt allow you to think first. Somaliland will always help its Somali borthers where it can. We have shown it in the past and will continue to do so.
  12. has been answered with the confirmation of the person answering the question. Sorry, this should read----> has been answered with the confirmation of the person asking the question
  13. This is a good thread but i think no-one should ask a question unless the previous one has been answered with the confirmation of the person answering the question. Ms D.D. Tough question, but i'll go with France v Brazil i know they met in 98&2006 but other then that its purely a guess. could be Holland V Germany as well. defintely in 74&78 not sure about others though
  14. I'm sure the Hargeisa administration would enchance the quality of the future national government. I am sure it would but it aint gonna happen. The Somaliland people wouldnt allow it. Somaaliya has to sort its own problems out, without outsider help.
  15. The Etho's obviosly want the flag replaced as it claims one of 'their territories' as one of the five points of the star. therefore it is going to happen and a flag which meets Ethiopian approval will be initiated. just standard procedure of the TFG administration
  16. Che, Bro, i didnt say it was a fact but sadly enough Somali history does indicate my and Landers sentiments do have serious grounds to stand
  17. Ma'ashallah, it looks good. I might have to copy some of these hargeysaawi ideas and re-create a mini-scale of that in my beautiful hometown of Sheikh. the Development there is going well but once i lay my hands on it, it will overtake Hargeysa folks, so watch Bada Cas and Co, Reneagde is coming through
  18. Lool, that was one funny thread. Yo that A.J. Timacaddeh dude was taking all of them on by himself and he did not even result to name calling like them. another funny thing i didnt know that General Duke use to call him Smith and Western-> AJ Timacaddeh killed it tough by constantly reffering to him as Smithers->from the Simpsons
  19. Che, Maybe the truth hurts too much but i agree with Lander's sentiment there. i feel that is the main reason why the Somali's can never have peace with eachother
  20. Lander you are right, but it is like you said there are many on here who would dispute that.
  21. Ebyan, You make some good points but i am still in disagreement with you on one aspect. It is much easier to develop a smaller city like bosaaso then to try and rebuild a completley levelled to the ground city like Hargeysa. for me this is why i consider it is the succes story of the civil war
  22. Castro, The Somaliland indepence goal came out of the Conferences that the people who inhabit the region undertook after the area was liberated from the Barre regime. it cannot be said that it was one person who came up with the idea, which can never be said of any state. The idea came about after a series of conferences held in various cities around 1990/91. it was combined idealogy and so far it has proved to be succesfull in enhancing the status of the region. it was and still is the will of the people. In terms of where Somaliland goes from where, it is a simple case. Somaliland will continue to strife for international recoqnition of its independence and in the meantime its programme of internal developement and adavancement will continue. this has been the idealogy from day one and will be for the forseeable future. To those of you who dont take the steadfastness, drive and ambition of the Somaliland people let me tell you this-> No Somalilander will ever allow their country to loose their independence and sovereignty again. we would rather die then let that happen. re-unification is never going to be happen and the sooner people get that into their heads the sooner the region can move forward. Its like JB said 16 years are not that much ,,,, we can still wait for another 16 yrs and even more ,,,, [/uNQUOTE]
  23. Well Put Elysian, I think that it would be very good for the further development of Somaliland that a process of decentralisation is initiated. at the much too much of the decision making and administration of Somaliland is made in hargeisa and through a process of spill over this results in all the general developments being seen mostly in hargeysa. I know that i am being a bit more biased here but i feel that Sheikh is at the heart of Somaliland and i feel some part of the executive power should go there
  24. Violet As for development, Bosaso was pretty much built from scratch. Bari and most of Puntland was neglected by Bares' administration (Hargaysa wasn't) and all the development that has occurred in the city was post-91. Bosaso went from being a small coastal town to the business capital of Puntland..Its population swelled after the civil war and it now numbers in the hundreds of thousands. It is the success story of the civil war. What kind of cloud cuckoo you living sister. you need to get your head right. first of all hargeysa and the whole of the original waqooyi galbeed and togdheer were completely disgarded by all of the somali administration from when somalia and somaliland united. the only infrastructure that exsisted there was what the british left behind and what small scale builing the people living there could do with meager resources. but your ignorance is compounded when you claim that bosaaso was built from scratch and hargeysa wasnt. what whole have you been hiding in and what propaganda have you been told, hmm? Hargeysa was completely destroyed and flayed to the ground by the biggest attack on any city in somali history until that stage. it was to become known as the city without roofs and it became a place of ruins and rubble that didnt resemble a city of any resort. that also was the case in burco and pretty much most of berbera. Bosaaso although smaller in size compared to the prominent cities in what was the Somali republic was relatively peaceful and was left untouched by the dirty hands of Barre. yes it wasnt really developed either but it was a much easier base to build from then any city in the areas in somaliland that barre completely anihilated and particular Hargeysa. So it is nothing short of miracle what the people of Hargeysa have made of their city after it was levelled to the ground by Morgan and co. it is now one of the most developed cities in africa and is CERTAINLY the most developed city in the somali populated areas of the Horn of Afrika. That is the succes story of the civil sister.
