I dont why you landers are even responding to this clap trap that their papers have dreamed up. Its nothing new and we will hear their whining and crying on a continous basis for the forseeable future. They're like crazy women whose husbands have left and for whose return they continue to cry. I say pay them no heed and they will eventually shut up.

What does the actual word Maakhir mean? Is it a relevance to Clan lines, as a we all know that the Maakhir state would comprise only one clan?

''Me'' I hate the xabashi's as much in not more then the average somali, However it is worth pointing out that the 'Somali republic' you love so much has killed more Somalilanders then the xabashi's have. Now i have no deep filled hatred of Somalia, like you seem to have for Somaliland, but all i can say is that the xabashi's are more willing to accept Somaliland then Somalia is so i can understand if Somaliland chooses its ally wisely out of those two -
For someone who has a deep hatred of Somaliland, This ''Me'' individual sure does love to get involved in every Somaliland debate.

Somaliland: Preparation for the upcoming December 2007 elections
A.J. replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
I wouldnt really trust the rumours as around this time before the election all kinds of crazy stuff will be branded about. I think the silence eminating around the Meygaag Samatar probably alludes to Silaanyo's firm stance as Kulmiye's candidate in the elections. Cabdulqaadir Jirdeh is a highly respected individual would enjoy everyone's support and who has already played a vital role in Somaliland stability and development. the chances of him running are slim to none but if he ever decided to run i think his chances would be decent -

Well mr 'ME'', Somalinimo is a concept that had its last breath beaten out of it by the Etho's in Mogadishu and south somalia in general so i dont understand why you are crying on about it in this issue. Whatever your misguided logic may allude you to say, there is no chance of Ethiopian army patrolling berbera. The Somaliland security forces are very capable of securing Berbera's commerce and stability. Anyway the etho's are far too busy pillaging the south to mess with Somaliland. Maybe your attention is better paid on the much dire situation there. -
Somaliland: Preparation for the upcoming December 2007 elections

X, I dont really have a particular favourite to replace but to be honest with you i think anyone except mr waraabe would be a better candidate right now. I dont see it happening but i admire Ina Meygaag Samatar and Cabdulaahi Jirde, both of whom i think can do a good job -

''ME'' I dont see what Somalimo has to do with this or how this deal has anything to with anyone reaping the fruits of anti-somalinimo. I dont know you but you sound like a very confused individual. To the argument at hand, This is a deal that will benefit the somali business man in the region as most of the business that is conducted between berbera and Jigjiga is conducted between the somali's who inhabit both region. there are businessman and normal civilians who travel on the highway in question who will benefit from the highway being modernized whatever the tax situation may be. One thing i can quarantee is that there is no chance in hell you are going to see the ethiopian army ''protecting'' Berbera. that is just a fantasy of yours that will not materialize. -
Somaliland: Preparation for the upcoming December 2007 elections

I think that Somaliland as a whole needs a change in order to progress from the stable but stalled that it has found itself in the last few years. I think its worth pointing out that Somaliland stopped progressing and developing at the rate it was under Cigaal pretty much the moment Riyaale was fully elected as the president. Now dont get me wrong i do think that Somaliland has progressed to a certain extent since Riyaale's election which i have seen a few times when i went back, but at the same time i think that Somaliland's progression has been hampered by Riyaale's general incompetency. He has not shown any initiative on his own part in taking our country forward and even the biggest UDUB supporters i know think that he needs to be replaced in the UDUB leadership let alone the Somaliland Presidency. -

True say Ayoub, To ''ME'', I dont see anything wrong with doing business with ethiopians if you are gaining something from it. This is especially the case with Somaliland whose muslim brothers, the arabs, have turned their backs on them. Now i am not saying i like the ethiopians, matter of fact i despice those xabashi pigs, but right as of now they one of a only a few, that are willing to do business with Somaliland as a seperate entity. I think its important to understand that Somaliland is doing what its citizens need- creating viable commerce- and that is their priority and they are not in any position to deny anybody's offer of business. Once they are, you can dispute who they wish to do commerce with -
Suprised to see Hadraawi in their i must say but i guess a man with his integrity and honour is always in a situation like this. In general i am very pleased to see that this dispute is going the right way to being resolved. Hope this gets resolved soon and the elections proceed smoothly and peacefully whatever the result.

Mudane Siilaanyo oo kulan balaadhan la yeeshay beesha galbeedka Burco
A.J. replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
I have not discussed Somaliland politics in ages but i feel like its time to throw my two cents worth into this one. First and foremost, those Somalilanders who feel that the conducts of some candidates in the mid 90's civil wars should be trudged up to discredit those candidates, i urge you brothers and sisters for the good our nation and its credibility to lay those issue to rest and concenrate on the more current issue affecting the development of our nation. I dont have a fervent support for anybody so far in the upcoming elections but i am leaning towards UDUB. This hasnt got anyting to do with what leader i support but has more to do with the principle of representativeness. In this area UDUB tends to stand out from the others and i must say that i believe it is why it one the election last time. UDUB has representatives from almost all of the regions of Somaliland and the fact that their leader does not hail from the major clan of Somaliland certainly helped last time around. His incompetency does however take that initiative away as people now know what he is like. UDUB now has to deal with its record in the past 4 years which has been steady but not progressive which is what Somalilanders back home want. I think our people back home are intelligent enough to decide for themselves what key issues they need adressing and can decide which candidates policies and attitudes have the best credibility in achieving those -
WM, You are twisting what Elysian said. It is very hard to keep an election 100% corruption free, Even the nation that calls itself 'the true voice of democracy' The USA saw a dirty corruption and cheating of their elections when that SOB George Bush got himself elected in 2000/01. But that doesnt mean that Riyaale can do what he likes and expect to win the next election because he knows he can rig the whole thing. He, no matter how much i hate him, won the last election fair and square and his win was accepted by the people of Somaliland, The National Election Committee of Somaliland, The Supreme Court of Somaliland and the opponents of Riyaale as well as all the international independent obsevers of the elections, so it doesnt reallt matter what anyone else thinks. In relation to the upcoming election, i can ensure you that the people of Somaliland will ensure that the right man will take the presidency. Whether they think that is Riyaale or not is up to them, but i doubt they do.

SOMALILANDERS WILL NEVER AGREE TO TURN BACK THE CLOCK
A.J. replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
Caano Geel,, I have read the article that started this topic and that is all i need to know. In there i see nothing to say that this person is a fascist. I dont know this peter pham person and i personally i dont care to either, but all i know is that i agree with some aspects of the article he wrote at the beginning of this topic. This article in part defence the case of Somalilanders and you come here spitting blood so the conclusions are there to be made. I could be wrong but like you , peter pham and i both have a right to express our opinions, right? not that i am in full agreement with Peter Pham though,, -
What kind of sick joke is this? Shame on you
-
History has shown that a lot of somali's are motivated and driven by hate towards eachother and only have love for their own gabiils. but i believe that there is hope, as our generation is seeing the light. However time will only tell as there is always a chance that even those people can fall into the somali trap of gabiilism which always has been and by the looks of it always will be what keeps Somali's back.

Rudy, Well said there dude, MMA, This Peter Pham dude has really got you spitting hasnt he? I reckon the only reason why people are getting so worked up, is because he is a foreigner supporting Somaliland. That is just my opinion but it seems that anybody in support of Somaliland must be a fascist, deluded fool. Just cant win with some people i guess,, -
Yep, agree with you there JB, You do have to abide by the laws of any country or region you move.

Duke, How can you constantly cry for somali nationalism when you are in love with Ethiopians, who are the arch-enemies of Somali nationalism, Sounds like another case of depraved hypocricy to me.
