"Know that having evil thoughts about someone is forbidden just as evil speech" just wanted to make clear the difference between سوء الظن evil assumption and التفكر which is thinking, the latter being encouraged in both quran and xadith. having fear that someones thoughts alone without "evil assumption" could lead to evil deeds is سوء الظن and is contrary to التوكلthe concept of entrusting Allah with that which is already his. our effort should not (and can't ) exceed that of the prophet ص . it can only go the wrong way like making an islamic(not necessarily muslim) version of something kuffar usually do. other than my personal prefrences concerning vocabulary the article is very refreshing and gave me a lot to think about...

maybe it's just terminology but i "think" that which is forbidden is not thought but "evil assumption" or assuming evil and basing thoughts or even actions upon that. freedom of thought is a very important part of Islam. innocent until proven guilty do not assume evil until you have proof(material evidence). that school of thought which says you may think no evil leads only to neglecting the body and is a form of opression when it comes to deeds the difference between evil and good is clear. when it comes to thoughts,evil is relative and dependant on personal experience. even a computer programmer knows :you only tell the computer how to think ,never what to think, God gave us that freedom by setting certain parameters and borders and leaving the content up to us.

role model? there are 2 main schools for child raising...the strict priest school (do exactly what mom and dad tell you) which has proven more successful and the school where parents expect the children to lead the way and make the rules...that never reaaly worked and only resulted in gangsters. how many people do we know who were taught in school that our parents are illeterate ignorants (badaw) and the only way to success is being casi. a whole generation ...what do you expect of their children? i still see people falling into old behavioral patterns...expecting authority from certain community leaders...all they can give you is advice and assistance....parents should be selfsufficient enough to be an authority for their children....I expect obedience from my kids like Abraham scw and his son! for example discuss your childrens affairs "over their head" and not "behind their backs" I once was crying for attention ...taking drugs revolting ...fell into many traps mafia gangs political jabha and funny religious sects...I was on my own....my father stopped me..I was very thankfull...I had thought he would never come.
