Lander, Let me tell you how he won the MVP. 21 ppg and 14 rebounds against arguably the best frontcourt in the league without any help down low from his teammates. He out played the Wallaces and McDyes in both sides of the floor and he willed his team to the victory when it counted. Just watched him in the second half of game seven and you will see why this guy is far from soft. He is the most fundamentally sound big man in the league since Hakeem and he knows how to win period. Yes he has boring personality but that has nothing to do with his game. He’s simply the best. The saddest part of the whole thing is that the Spurs have become a dynasty, which is baaad for the league. They give terrible interviews and they play boring basketball as a unit but they win. Capital, Don’t pin point what she said per say but over all her argument was good. Speaking of the Heat, they had a great run this year but that is where the puck stopped. The Heat isn’t going to win championship with D. Jones running the point. Yes Dwayne is the man but you have no one else in that team. Shaq’s days are numbered and say good bye to Zo and E. Jones Plus, you need coach. As far as the draft is concerned, I have no clue who is who. There a lot of Ok players but there are no super stars in this year’s draft. Let me ask you a question. Do you think the Heat will win a championship because of a draft Pick? I asked you this just because you mentioned a lot of times how you guys traded your second and whom you think should be picked in the first round.

Guys, She told you before and she's telling you now time after time that she knows what she 's talking about. Once again she is whipping you all. I must admit, I thought the Pistons was gonna do it..I guess you can't question the heart and the desire of Timmy. The man was on mission last night. Showed that he doesn't need David Robinson or any other big man with him down low to be effective. He dominated the Pistons' frontcourt in both side of the floor and his passing was magnificent down the stretch. One thing I noticed in this seies is that Hamilton is very limited shooting guard. He came short both in game 5 and 7 when the game was on the line. HE CAN’T CREATE HIS OWN SHOT AND HE IS TERIBLE ONE ON ONE PLAYER. When Bruce and them figured out they don't have to defend him with the ball but rather deny him getting the ball behind screens, he became liability. However, every one knows the Pistons out played the Spurs for the middle four game including the game the gave away (game 5). Congratulations to the wizard, the best basketball player on earth Mr. Timothy.

Shy, T.O. Played great game. The man has two screws in his foot and performed like the star he is. Lets talk about McNabb and his horrible execution and the ****** play calling of that Bear called Reed down the stretch. I said it before and I’m saying it again McNabb is very talented athlete but he’s not smart QB. Yes he has all this TDs in the regular season playing against the NFC, which is inferior conference, but when it comes to big games he always failed miserably. Yes he’s overrated QB…..he’s a dear in a headlight under pressure. Three NFC championships and now the Super Bowl, give me a break.

What we saying here is all about opinion and nothing more. None of us put on uniform and perform on the field. I like the fact that we agree to disagree. I’m gonna address two points to support my initial argument that I have stated in my previous post. For those of you who think Randy is the problem is like saying AI is the problem for the Sixers. Super stars can do it alone they need help on every aspect of the game. Randy is one of the few shinning spots in that team year after year. To get rid of him doesn’t solve the Vikings’ problems. Besides, the Vikings never had problems in the offensive side of the ball. Their defense has been suspect since John Randle days. Until they fix that problem, the Vikings will be decent playoff team but not good enough to win a championship. About McNabb and him being over-rated. You measure QB’s efficiency by success. There are tens of QBs in the league that can do what he has done so far in the regular season. But for some one who is making 125 million dollars, a franchise QB, the expectation is a lot higher than just winning games. You have to deliver results and that is championships. One of you said he went o the NFC championship 3 times in a row. That is thru but they didn’t get their because of his ability to conduct good effective offensive drives. It was mainly their defense. He actually had bad games 2 of the 3 games. He’s not a leader and he isn’t smart QB. I will take Dante any day over McNabb. Speaking of this year and his performance, ask TO and he will tell you something different. The Beagles receivers have one touchdown out side of TO all year (before he get hurt of course). That isn’t efficiency and definantly, that isn’t a QB who is maximizing his receiving code. He zooms in to TO and TO only and he doesn’t perform well under pressure. That is why I said he is overrated. Not that he isn’t good, he just simply not great QB. P.S. About Moss's *** . He was wrong. You simply don't shit where you eat. Respect the game.
-
Anyone who calls Randy Moss overrated knows nothing about football. He’s the best receiver in the game, including TO period. I like the Vikings over the Beagles this week. I think the Beagles are way overrated. They haven’t played anybody all year. They struggled on that Monday night game against the Vikings and actually the Vikings lost that game. They outplayed the Beagles in every aspect of the game (check the status on their respective websites). They (Vikings) settled with punch of field goals and they didn’t challenge the last TD. Had they (Vikings) done that , the out come of that game would have been different. Ok, lets be honest..The Vikings defense stinks and so does the Beagles offense. With out TO, the Beagles offense is what it was last year which wasn’t all that. And yes McNabb is very over-rated QB. Having said that, I think the Vikings can out score the Beagles, which will composite their lack of defense. Same can’t be said about the Beagles good defense. I don’t think they can shut down Moss and company. I pick the Vikings over the Beagles. 21-17 P.S. No I’m not Vikings fan and yes I hate the Beagles and their bad *** fans.

Lake, Let me ask you this..Are you threatening by the fact that the chick has more balls and more knowledge about the game of basketball than your sorry little ignorant *** ? Is that what is bothering you nigger? There is nothing wrong to conceived man. She beat you left and right in this particular debate and yes she is the victorious one. I know she doesn’t need me to fight for her. She can do that herself brilliantly but I feel so embarrased for the male species up in here calling sisters *****s and what not. She is the only girl here talking to us about sports. Why not embrace her and treat the sister with some respect? Lets keep the thread going and be civil to each other. Is that hard thing to do? Just because I have different perspective doesn’t mean I don’t respect your opinion. Lazi, I don’t even know why you’re keep addressing this jackass. He’s truly speaking out of his *** . He’s clueless and has no idea what the hell he’s talking about. Let it go and talk to the others such Qac.and GC.

The NBA is the product of Street life. You can take a nigger out of the ghetto but you can’t take the Ghetto out of a nigger. The NBA is players league they need to learn to respect their fans. The NBA is so desperste to create superstars and overlook the importance and integrity of the game. Artest has personal issues and the league should have dealt with him long time ago. I’m glad he is gone for the year. Now only if I can see Larry Bird face… The individual that called me “the assistantâ€â€¦I just happen to like the Sixers. Is that a crime? Besides I never said that AI is leading the league in scoring. I stated his stats (26 AND 7) AND YES NO ANY OTHER GUARD HAS BETTER AVERAGE THAN HE. Kobe and LeBran might have better scoring average but none of them becomes close to his combo. Allen led the league in scoring three years in a row…been there done that. As far as the mavericks are concerned, yes, they’re not title contender, decent team but not good enough. As far as their off season moves I agree with Lazy. Mark Cuban didn’t improve that team. It is all about addition by subtraction. Here is their off season activities: Jameson and Nash gone. Dampier, Stackhouse and Terry in. In other words, they lost two superstars and gain three bench players. The two players mention by some of you here, Josh and Daniel, they are good role players but nothing more plus Michael Finley isn’t the same. Any one who thinks that Utah is better team than T-wolves know nothing about basketball including Charles Barkley. Yes, I said it. Barkley speaks out of his *** and he is only there to make fool of himself. It’s all about entertainment.

Whuz up with this war about the Raptors and the knicks. They both stink. Lets have a healthy, objective debate about the game of basketball. I love the Sixers but I know they’re not power house team so you don’t see me or Lazy talking about them like they gonna win a championship tomorrow. With the exception of Detroit, no team in the east including the Heat has what it takes to much up with the powerhouse of the western conference teams specially Spurs and maybe T-wolves. Any one who thinks that the Mavericks are good team is sadly mistaking and knows nothing about basketball. Same goes for the Suns and Seattle. This is early of the season so lets watch and wait. P.S. Some body mention about AI and his lack of offensive productivity. He is averaging 26 points and 7 assists. No any other point guard or shooting guard in the league has a better offensive out put so shot the **** up and do your home work before you speak. However, the Sixers are struggling due to lack of size and G. Robinson living up to his ugly reputation of being real DOOOOOOOOG! Having said that, the Sixers will be a playoff team and will have a better record than the Raptors and the Knicks. Lazy, I knew Shareef wasn’t coming here. It was wishful thinking. The reality is Big Dog doesn’t worth much these day thanks to the Sixers upper management for making him look bad.
-
Well said Lazi, I was thinking the same thing in addition, our transition defense sucks big time. You can't teach offense but you can always teach defense. This coach have to go back to the drawing board and come up with some answers. You simply can't win with your point guard scoring 30 at night. Other guys must step up and play harder especially, half court offense. With the exception of Marc Johnson no one seem to understand thier role as big man. Somebody needs to talk to Kenny Thomas and let him know that his job is to control the paint not shooting jumpers 18 feet out. I still beleive they are good enough to win their division. The word on the street in the city of brotherly love is that Big Dogg isn't part of thier plan. They're willing trade him soon or later. I'm chatting shareef, shareef...cross your fingures baby.

Eagles got their *** kicked as expected...if you can't stop the run you have no chance and Eagles can't stop the running game. If Jamal Lewis was playing the Ravens game, they would have lost that game too. How about TO given McNabb earful of KIND words...throw me the ******* ball man!
-
Lazi I agree the Sixers didn’t look too good defensively but I anytime you out score you opponent substantially and come back from behind down 18 in a hustle environment should count for something. I love watching Allen at the point. I think he creates so much for his teammates just the simple fact that the other teams respect his scoring ability. The only defencencies that I saw in his game at point guard position is that he leaves his feet too early too many times, which prevents him making smart decisions with the ball. You pick up your dribble and you limit your options. I’m sure that is something they will address surely. The Heat look fine but it was hard to judge them playing the Nets. I really don’t think they’re that good. They might not even be the best team in Florida. Yes, I said it. The magic has something to say. If I were coach Davis down in Orlando, I would convert Steve Francis to a full time shooting guard and start Jameer Nelson at the point. Cutino would make great six man off the bench. I’m so happy to see Hill having fun out there on the court. He worked so hard and it’s nice to see hard working people rewarded. He went through so much with four ankle surgeries and all that rehab. That is what I call dedication. He could have just retire with his entire 93 millions dollars in cash but he selected not to. How about the Lakers getting killed in Utah?

Qac, CBS shows AFC games because that is who they have the contract with same as the fox and NFC. I agree with you that the NFC has a better history but they’re not as good as the AFC teams at the present time. With the exception of the Eagles and maybe Seattle, there is no any other contender in the NFC. Speaking of the Monday night football, they showed more AFC teams so far than NFC…look it up. NFC isn’t the only conference that employs the west coast offense. Do you know what the west coast offense is? I’m just wondering bro.
-
Lazi, Thanks boo...I never left! Your analysis is good and accurate as usual. I will come later to elaborate my two cents. Capital, No one says that Shaq is not the best, it’s the team that is not good enough.
-
Capital, I agree the Pats are the team to beat. I don't know about the Dolphins winning more than I game in the NFC though. The dolphins are bAAAAAAAAAAAd. What is your prediction about the Beagles and the Steelers much up this week?
-
QQ I'm not T-Wolves fan. I just think they're the best of the west this year with healthy Cassel. Capital, Incase you haven't head Andre Iguodala is gonna start the number 3 spot for the sixers Big Dog is on the trading block. With his 17 million Dollars salary we can bring another powerhouse to the cit of brotherly love perhaps, Shareef Abdul-Raheem. The best secret super star in the league. I haven't seen the kid you're speaking off but I believe you.
-
BEAGLES are the most over rated team in the NFL. They have the weakest schdule and they havn't play no body so far. The NFC stincks all together.
-
Lazi, Yes the Sixers are young, hungry and talented. They can run (thanks to Snow’s trade). They can shoot and rebound with the best of them. They will be very exciting team to watch them with AI pushing the ball and the other AI filling the lane with Green, Kyle Korver, Big DOGG and Mackie on the other wing waiting to shoot that three. Talking about half court, next to the Heat (the Shaq factor of course), the Sixers will have the best half court game in the east with Big Nasty, B-Skinner, Kenny Thomas and Sammy Dalembert demanding that rock down low in the post. I can’t wait the season to start and I can’t wait watching them live at least six games throughout the season at the Wachovia Center. Any one who thinks the Rockets will be better with T-Mac is sadly mistaking. That team took three steps back wards. T-Mac is a great talent but he is selfish, crybaby with no heart. He compliant too much and never sees himself as part of the problem. He will point fingures and blame his teammates as usual when things are going well. He just can’t win. I still think Detroit is the team to beat (I pick them last year as well and everybody thought I was crazy) and I will pick the T-wolves out of the west with healthy Sam Cassel. You can say all you want about KG but as Sam goes so as the T-Wolves. Kobe will win the scoring title but the Lakers will stick up the joint. They still have nice nucleus though however, that team is a donut and if you can’t defend you’re not gonna win a lot of ball games in this league. I’m losing my confidence in the Kings. I think they are heading the wrong direction so as Dallas, the Nets and the Hornets. I think the Nuggets will be fun to watch so as Memphis, the Warriors, the Wizards and the Knicks but they’re not going anywhere. The Magic will be exciting team as well and will make some noise in the east with their new fantastic backcourt in Steve and the Cat and with healthy Grant Hill (Mr., Everything) you just never now. I’m not just sold to the Heat. Yes, Shaq is the best offensive force in the league but it takes more than two players to win championship and I don’t think they have the entire ingredient around him to be contender. I now the Pacers have talent but I JUST HATE THAT TEAM, Sorry Reggie. P.S don’t forget the next rookie of the year Mr. Andre Iguodala.

I was so excited, for a minute I thought you guys were discussing real football.

Hello LazY Nice observation boo. You’re right these aren’t 18yrs old kids in college they’re playing against and I do agree with you that Melo and most of these guys in the roster has no business of being there however, I think Anthony can do what these international players can do which is shooting and shooting rather than dunking that is why I think he would be more efficient in the line up rather than Jefferson, who can’t shoot and can’t dribble the rock. But most important of all, these folks are going to painfully learn that playing towards the highlight film is not an indication that you can play THE game, and you must, if you call yourself a player, be able to hit the jay from 23' deep. If they continue to play this way, they will come home empty handed. Holla back

Dream Team my *** ...I'm glad they got their *** kicked. Larry brown needs to learn how to adjust to the international style of play. No one play ******* defense in the Olympics. It's all about transitional offense and perimeter shooting, something Mr. LB can't cope with. The set play of the NBA style isn't effective here in Greece. The paint area under that basket is non-existent and no one utilized the shot clock. I agree with Lazy, that some of these players have no business of shooting the ball from 20 feet deep. Richard Jefferson in particular however, I disagree with her that Melo is the part of the problem. I think he is ten times better than Jefferson. He can shoot and he can create his own shot of the derible and he knows how to bust the zone defense. He played in BIG TEN style of basketball at Syracuse University which employs the 2, 3 Zone defense which is very similar how these international games are played. It’s hard to judge a guy’s effectiveness when he hardly plays. Larry Brown needs put him in the game early and often and let Jefferson to come off the bench. He is my starting five: Duncan, Odom, Anthony, AI and Wade. Did you see the Arroyo's ball fake...nasty! P.S. Ya'll need leave Djibouti alone HELLO LAZI...WHUZ UP.

Capital Z I know how you feel. You’re a fun and fans are always have one sided point of view. That is just the nature of being a fan. I hope you guys win because I really don’t care about the Pacers however, I’m being objective observer. The Pacers are ten times better than the heat. They are bigger, stronger and more talented team as a UNIT. You said Reggie isn’t quick. He is 37 yrs old and I will take him over any one else in the entire league to take the last shot when the game is on the line. As old as he is, no one comes behind and through screens like Reggie does. If that isn't quickness, I don't know what it is. I would eccept your argument if you said he couldn't dribble or he couldn't create his own shot but quickness, no. All you T-wolves Fans, I said this before and I’m saying it again. If the heart of the T-Wolves is KG the guts and the soul of that team is SAM CASSEL. This team will go as far as Sam takes them not the other way around. Don’t get me wrong, I love KG and he is great player and all but he doesn’t have that cut throat, gut instinct mentality. I’m sorry he just doesn’t have it in him. Never had it and never will. In terms of the series, the Kings got what they wanted. They stole the home court advantage and that is all that matter. I still think the Kings will win the series in 6.
-
Lazie Leave the boy alone. I think the Heat has a chance to steal one in Indy however, the series belong to the Pacer who will ultimately lose to the Piston in the Conference final Speaking of GP and the fakers, he needs to stop crying. You’re right, the Lakers aren’t playing his style of Basketball but he knew what he was getting into. Yes he’s still capable of breaking the game open. The question is will Phil Jackson and his stubborn coaching style allow GP to play transition ball time after time. I guess not. We both agree on Karl Malone’s situation. He is the best power forward to ever play the game and he knows how to play “dirty” and get open. Only if the coaching staff finds a way to utilize him and run some plays for him. By the way, I HATE KARL MALONE. ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL. I already adderessed THE Lakers bench situation so there is no need for me to repeat that. I agree with you that the Spurs bench didn’t bring it last Sunday nevertheless, the different between them and the Lakers is that the Spurs’ bench is capable of big time production. Trust me their contribution is needed and they will do just that. I don’t know about your beef with Horry. He’s been heart breaker to the opposing teams and their fans since his days in Houston. Do you know that he was voted the most clutch player in recent history? It was on ESPN.com a while ago. I disagree with you on the fact that the Spurs have to win tonight to seal the deal. I think they are the better team and they will win this series with out a doubt. Yes injuries can change the outcome of the series but that goes both ways. Lakers are done too if Kobe or Shaq get injured. Regarding the Kings and the T-Wolves, I think the Kings are better team period. They bigger and more balanced team not to mention deeper. One of the intangible elements of the Kings this year is that, they are more relaxed because no one expects them to win it all. Similar to the Pacers, they're the forgotten team who can do it all. I pick them in 6 and I’m going to stick with that. BTW, What do you think the Sixers need the most? I mean who should they select in the up coming draft assuming that they have the 8 pick overall, which is the spot they’re currently sitting (they can improve their lottery position if they get lucky with ping ball). We do know that AI isn’t going anywhere as Jimmy King stated in his press conference last month. Holla back.
-
Lazie, We can agree to disagree. That is what this is all about. I think you’re giving the Lakers too much credit. I really don’t think they’re that good. The 78 points they scored on Sunday is the reflection of their makeup. Let’s analyze the fakers and demonstrate their weaknesses as well as their strengths. GP is the shadow of his all self. He’s not the player he once was plus he is struggling with triangle offense they employ. Karl Malone can still do it occasionally, unfortunately the paint in big enough for only one post up player. He used to be decent mid-range shooter but that also vanished thanks to Kobe and the Tri-angle offense. He can't get the ball in transition in regular bases like he used to in Utah. In addition, they hardly run plays for him. The small forward position is not existant. They hardly get any productivity from Devan George and Rick fox is in the dog house. This came down to the big two. Shaq can still dominant but he’s been tentative lately. He deferred too mush to his teammates. We already know his game is limited within the paint area and the Spurs are doing great job taking that away by fronting him. This is the only team (Spurs) whom understand how to play him and they have been doing it well for the last two years. You can't stop Shaq but you can contain him. The only spark the Lakers have is Kobe and his selfishness. It actually working this time to their advantage. Kobe is the only one who is willing to take the game over down the starch. No one else is doing it so why not take every shot possible. We all know The Lakers don’t have a bench with the exception of Fisher, who thinks he is better than what he is, a six men and Rush. There is no Horry, Shaw or walker among other players to come off the bench and contribute. In other words, no X factor for the faker. They've became very predictable team. I don’t think the Spurs will have any problem killing the Fakers this year. Yes you’re right little Tony took over the game in the third quarter and that is what he needs to do in order for the Spurs to be successful. I think he is under rated point guard. He is capable of being big time player. I still think the Kings are too talented in and out for the T-wolves. Not to mention experience. I still like the Pistons to win it all. This isn't scientific fact, only my opinion.
