You should have talked to the prof. and expressed your feelings instead of dropping the class..

The British ruled the entire Somali nation in the 40s, with the exception of the Djibouti Somalis. The BBC Somali service was/is meant to serve all Somali-speaking people in this world. I never heard that part of Somali history….did you write that your self? I thought it was the other way around. The British left Somaliland in 1939 until the end of the World War II however, the Italian tried to spread it's ruling through out the horn during that period. The British returned in 1945 and regained control in Somaliland.

According to this article, Faisal is a Ku Klux Klan of Somalia ....ma heer kaasi baa la marayaa. How could you feel threaten by an individual who is telling you to leave me alone and let me deal with my problems. Obviously this attempt (the article) didn’t prevent him from coming to DC. He participated the conference and actually chaired some of the workshops. He spoke about Somaliland issues and he still here in states. All he said was DIINTA IN LAGA BAAYAC MUSHTAREEYA MA FIICNAA...simply personal opinion of his and I agree with him so as many others.

I rarely listen or use to listen to Somali songs, but that song(iyadoo doog dhex jiifta) orginally belongs to Maxamed Mooge as well.To kill the mood, it is said that Maxamed Mooge forbitted his music from listened to,because it was dark path to go down. Do you mean AHMED MOOGE LIIBAAN? (RIP)

I attended the conference over the weekend in VA and it was huge success.

Suldaanow, I know both of these guys. The first time I met Dr. Tani was when I was a little boy in Hargeisa. I visited my uncle in prison and Dr. Tani was one of the guys held in jail with my uncle for politic reasons. I later met him in Canada too. He's very intelligent and knowledgeable human being. Gaboobe....let say he is a family member. His brother is the head of SOOYAAL (SNM veteran organization) in Somaliland and the owner of two newspapers in Hargeisa. Northern, I think the point Dr. Tani is trying to make is that college degree isn’t necessary for political success as along as you can relate and understand the dynamics of the people you trying serve in a personal level.

I couldn't tell the men from the women! I didn’t see anything graphic. I think people do that all the time. It is called SHUKAANSI. Just because it happened in Saudi Arabia doesn't mean we have be shocked. The question is why the girls are walking alone at night in Saudi Arabia? Isn't that against the law unless they were looking for some action them selves? After the first incident, they should run and look for a cover. I didn't see them doing any of that. I think this was a date gone bad.

Are you really telling us that this lucrative business can go unnoticed without Cadde being a stakeholder? The evidence is simple Duke pay the landlord or change your address simple as that. And please don’t tell us the house is too big for the landlord to keep track on its tenants, this is Somalia Duke everybody knows everybody just like a little white town. In his mind, adeero can't do wrong...

That statement should be directed to Yay and his followers such as Duke and yourself...who are smiling every time they hear a gun shot any where in Somalia but 'Putland" -

Layzie, Me not included right? You know I always like Vince but I hate the team he plays for now. Like I said before, I'm going with the Nets, b/c I don't like Miami for some reason (hint: their selfish coach who bailed out on them couple of yrs ago when he couldn't coach the team yet, inserted him self back into coaching when they get good)

Mogadishu tonight : Heavy mortars keep the city awake..
Jaylaani replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Lol@what can he do... How about releasing a simple statement? We all know he wants the world to see how destructive these people in Mogadishu are. He’s probably smiling as usual. This is the very man who asked for more arms instead of creating strategy for healthy and open dialog as soon as he was appointed. -
Duke You can’t defend “Puntland†in this case. If you do, you too will also have a human (Muslim) blood in your hands. You can’t deny the fact that those boat owners who have political connection with the local authority are using people for economic gain. Think About it, Bosaso isn’t the only port city in that coast nor is it the closest to Yemen. This has become epidemic and it’s affecting all Somalis however, “Puntland†administration turns its back on those victims. Are they the beneficiary? I have no idea but they sure not doing anything about it…and that sounds fishy to me.
