It seems to me then that material wealth is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for spiritual poverty. My point is, it is easy to associate wealth with faithlessness but an argument could be made that this is not always the case and that the poor and/or illiterate are just as likely, if not more, to be unbelieving as the rich.
