Baashi, until the day god descends onto earth, Darwin's theory, however flawed or incomplete, will hold the upper hand. Until there's no more reliance on any leaps, of faith or otherwise, the knowledge we have of the universe and the tools we've acquired to measure that knowledge will reign supreme. I wonder what we will know in the year 7571 A.D. about evolution, the cosmos and other seemingly difficult issues now. Seeing that the holy scriptures have the disadvantage of not being revised to keep up, I can only imagine what it'll be like.
  2. Speaking of creationism, what do you all thing of Carbon (or radiometric) dating? The processes by which the age of trees and rocks are estimated. I know Bible thumpers hate the whole idea of the book of Genesis in the bible being contracticed. In fact, they have an army of "scientists" out there disproving and creating doubt on radiometric dating. You see if life existed on earth say 1 billion years ago, as some testing of fossils has shown, then Genesis is essentially out of the window. What do you all think of this?

And as BN mentioned above, the question has been asked and answered many times over. If you wanna make lots of friends here, ارجوك , don't ask that question. Just read this thread for your own pleasure and amusment.

  10. ^^^ Haddad, so you officially quit the one line brigade? Having less kids than they do now is the only solution. If you have 2-3 kids, you'll have an infinitely better chance of them surviving. If you have 10 when you can only feed 3, then you've got a big L on your forehead. And don't tell me god will take care of the kids and has their rizq in his hand. That may well be the case but 25% of those kids would disagree with you. Let's cut the boolshidh and tell this like it is.
  11. Thanks Flipmode, nice pictures indeed. There's no better way to keep kids in school and help them avoid drugs and the like than through sports. Way to go. Just one question, where's the girl's soccer league pics? Was there one held?
  12. Originally posted by Alaina: I wouldn't blame the girl, she may have chased but he let her catch him The problem always lies with the guy if you ask me I disagree, Alaina. All men, except for a rare miniscule minority, would cheat if they knew they'll get away with it. The women who allow them to cheat knowing full well they're in a relationship or married are the ones to blame. (Of course, if they've been lied to and decieved, they are without blame)

  14. Originally posted by Haddad: On a second note, where would a Tech Corner be posted? Why in General of course. The most popular section. It would be a standing topic like Troll, Boredom, Friday and the Funny News. It would have things like: Google comes out with this, Microsoft makes ten trillion dollars last quarter, how to recompile your linux kernel, how to hack SOL, etc... I was trying to give you an opportunity to start it yourself. I am a techie (to earn a living) but you seem to have a passion for it, you know. P.S. Everyone should be using Mozilla Firefox for their browsing pleasure. IE is just too tainted and impure. It may even be against the religion.

How is the above propaganda, dude? Are you saying Abdullahi Yuusuf is: A dog that can learn new tricks A dog that cannot learn new tricks Not a dog OLOL Clarify it for me brah.
  17. Originally posted by Nazra: I’m done with Girlfriends. If any gurl asks me who I am dating…. I’ll put the red lights on cause i know where the situation is heading for. Nazra, enjoy these lyrics from my woman herself, Ms. Jody Watley (c 1989): Have you ever been stabbed in the back By someone you thought was really cool Did they steal your lover or was it money Or was it lies they told Strangers just disguised as your friends Never again ‘cause now you know That friends will let you down Friends won’t be around When you need them most Where are your friend Friends are hard to find Friends, yours and mine I’m talkin’ ‘bout your friends Smiles they hide behind Never know what’s on their mind Could be true deception Jealousy and envy reign They never want to see you get ahead They just hold you back Friends will let you down Friends won’t be around When you need them most Where are your friend, oh, oh Friends are hard to find Friends, yours and mine I’m talkin’ ‘bout your friends
  18. Originally posted by OLOL: Many Somalis had hoped, against all odds, that at least Yeey would see the wisdom in chart-ing a new course to peace following so many years of carnage and destruction. The old adage remains true here, saaxib: "you cannot teach an old dog new tricks." How much lower does Somalia have to sink to get the attention of its intellectuals and conscious sons and daughters to come to her rescue? Believe it or not, Somalia is not at the bottom yet. The bottom will come when neigboring nation states decide to annex it. Besides, intellectuals don't function very well in failed states. They are at their best in functioning ones. Intellectualism precludes the use of violence to advance one's agenda. In other words, intellectuals will not come to the aid of Somalia. I'm not really sure who will.
  19. Originally posted by Haddad: I see a number of members are familiar with the Open Source software. Let's share our latest screenshots: [/url] Haddad, mine is really not open source. While the kernel is unix through and through, the OS is owned by Apple for all the additions they've provided, and you have to buy it. But it is unix. May be you should create a Tech Corner, like the Troll corner, and be the resident techie there. People can exchange ideas, tips, tricks and solutions. What do you think?
  20. Originally posted by FyrKanten: Fidel what’s wrong with being a jingoist? Those kind of people assuming Qudhac being one of them are the likes who’ll be first to take arms and defend our country against anyone threatening our freedom. I’m however surprised that you find it to be wrong when you constantly praise Fidel Castro whom himself is an extreme nationalist character. Dude, jingoism is paternalistic and racist thinking of those who can't see past their noses. Think of a redneck in the midwest who could never find Eyeraq on a map and yet constantly calls the people morons and wants them bombed. That's a jingoist. I'm pretty sure Qudhac is not like that. Or at least I hope not. As for Fidel Castro, come on, the man is far from a jingoist, FyrKanten. He's been fighting the evil empire for nearly sixty years and trying to unite Latin America all that time. He even fought the Portuguese colonizers in Uganda. He's mildly a nationalist, which is good, but definitely not a jingoist.
  21. Originally posted by Qudhac: most importantly who cares what basal breath think anyway, how can an occupied bunch of dictators advance our democracy anyway. Qudhac, that's not necessary dude, come on! The people in Arab countries have no say in what the Arab league does. Don't be a jingoist.
  22. Recognition by the Arab league is not much recognition. Somalia was part of the Arab league and we all know what good that did for us. In fact, deportations and abuse of Somalis accelerated when the country collapsed. When the rest of the world opened its arms to Somali refugees, the likes of Saudi Arabia were letting overloaded refugee ships sink right on their shores with hundreds dying. Having said that, it is difficult for a new country such as Somaliland to maintain and grow its sovereignty without the recognition and assistance of the world community. However, the Arab league is neither capable of helping Somaliland nor itself. Arabs are at their lowest moment in history at this time. They're under occupation by foreign powers in Iraq and Palestine and by local tyrants in the rest. It does not make me happy in any way but I see their lack of recognition as immaterial and inconsequential for the future of Somaliland. Somaliland's success or failure will not depend on the Arab league.

  24. Originally posted by STOIC: "Bring Your Husband to Heel." "My husband certainly works on a very simple pleasure principle." That is fascinating. For years, if not decades, men have been calling each other dawg, and lovingly mind you. Hey dawg, pass me the remote. What up dawg, how's it hangin'? Check this out dawg! It didn't take very long for women to figure out it wasn't just a term of endearment. These dawgs have been calling each other by their real names. Dogs are loyal, granted, but there are some wild dogs out there. And some dogs are only interested in b!tches. You know, female dogs. So don't try this training class at home. That lady who started the course had her self a chihuahua for a husband. Some of us are Dobermen, Pit Bulls or Rottweilers. Wuuf Wuuf.
