  2. ^ Can we get a second opinion?
  3. ^ Right now it's the blind leading the blind atheer.

^ LOL. Maybe. I assume full responsibility for whatever that happens to me. I won't hold you responsible.
  5. ^ No, I'm a full-geezer. I just don't understand it. Shidh happens atheer.
  6. Makes two of us. Xiin just wants to show off his knowledge of Somali poetry.

^ Ok. Since you're so kind, here's what Ducaqabe penned: Ar kuwaanaa. Waswaasaa ku ridoysaan igaarta. Sugar love iskaabulo ma aha igaarta. Xey tahay Cereal, Toast & Tea. That’s mareykan see camal adi. Iskaabulo breakfast aad sheegoysaa. Alihii igaarta doobnimada ka dul qaadayaa daa’im ah. You don’t sound a sugar love lady. More like Basbaas love. Oh these people. [shakes head]. You're putting doubts in the poor girl's mind. Sugar Love, the girl is not single. What is this cereal, toast and tea you speak of? That's an American breakfast, what's wrong with you? You're talking about a bachelor's breakfast. [shakes head again]. He (Allah) who relieved her of bachelorhood is everlasting. You don't sound a sugar love lady. More like chilli-pepper love. Is that decoded enough atheer? P.S. You can PM me the response to qaldaan if you don't wanna say it publicly. I've been looking for it for a minute.
  8. ^ A suave move indeed to have disappeared yesterday. Try as I did to keep your love triangle in the headlines, my failure speaks for itself. Nonetheless it's good to see you back though I'd have preferred to see Queen B first.

^ He didn't say anything bad. His Somali is flawless. You need to brush up on your own SSL dear.

We have no strong allies. We don't know how to play the media game. We can't use our natural resources as leverage. We can't even use our large number with all its purchasing power as leverage. What we can do is feel sorry for ourselves. And while doing that we have delusions of grandeur. Don't get me wrong, Islam is grand but we're not. We overreact on simple matters and underreact to grave matters. Almost always an inappropriate response. Inept, corrupt, impotent or inadequate is what we have for leaders. Uneducated, illiterate, ignorant of their deen or oppressed peoples in just about every nation. No wonder with all these divisions, confusion, and delusions we're asked to apologize even when we're wronged. It comes with the territory when you've been conquered.

I'm trying to remember my lost Arabic by reading Risalat-al-Ghufran. Intense chronicles of the life and poetry of Abu al-Ala al-Ma'arri.

  14. ^ What was your point again regarding this? Forgive me, in my old age, I tend to forget. Ah yes, take it easy on the boy. Well, I would if he'd provide links to "news" he brings and keep his op-ed commentary to non-demeaning levels. That's all.

  16. ^ Rumors and innuendos dear. They're just shooting their mouths off. They know nothing about me. They think they do but they don't.

  18. ^ That same unemployed parent told the police they could do whatever they wanted with his son. Now that's tough love.
  19. Originally posted by Khayr: Not long ago , you liberally reported the details of Al-Azhar fatwa from french sources. I provided the source then. In fact, a few of them. And it wasn't a French source. Can you read son?
  20. Naden, the last sentence of the report says many parents of the kids want to know under what laws the kids were sentenced. Probably something to do with decency laws. And the maximum sentence I read was 6 months not 8 years. Interestingly, if the party was under the guise of "sagootin", i.e. sending someone travelling overseas off, it would probably be ok. At least that's what the reporter was implying, I believe. I'd love to see the Penal Code book used by the "Boorama Police Force".
  21. ^ Apparently the story has some elements of truth to it. Read it here, though xiniinyood decided to liberally report the details and neglected to provide the source to us.
  22. ^ I was screaming at Khayr dear, not you.
  23. ^ That you're white who's married to a Somali is rare but to hang around Somalis on this forum is just punishment. Where do you get the patience for all this nonsense on here?
  24. ^ Did you read what I wrote? Did you comprehend it? No? Read it again.
