  1. ^ Doth thou mocketh me woman?
  2. ^ Glad I could amuse you Naden. But fornication and adultry (the so called freedoms) is what I'm talking about.
  3. Originally posted by naden: the same argument is used to deny women sexual freedom and abortion rights as they know they could get pregnant every time they have sex. And they should be denied sexual freedom for it is haraam (if outside of marriage and more so within a marriage). And abortion is also haraam if it's done for any purpose other than rape (or incest) and the health of the mother. "Hard earned" rights they may be, but that don't make them right. I know, I know. I've gone on a tangent.
  4. Easy now Kooley. Atheer, it's not like the guy was sitting at the curb selling his sperm. They had a relationship. After asking a co-worker what the "bareback factor" meant ( ), I must say that's something I hadn't thought of. Yet I still maintain knowing the risks invovled is the best deterent. And who on God's green earth does not know what leads to pregnancy? It ain't jogging, I'll tell you that.
  5. I tend to agree with J. Lee on this. Just look at the paragraph below. Kittens' hearts, at birth, are filled with what theologians call "original mischief." Mischief, if left to grow on its own, can sprout into evil. That's why you must fill their hearts with Jesus instead. If you wait, your cats might find seductive role models among the back-alley strays and rough felines from the wrong side of town. You could also end up with an unwanted pregnancy. The concept of the Original Sin is fundamental in Christian dogma. We don't believe in it, and apparently, neither does the author of the piece. That he's ridiculing it though is without a doubt. That's why it's so very, very important to tell your cats about the life, crucifixion , and resurrection of Jesus as early as possible. The Nicene Creed is a good place to start: Recite it to them when they are about 10 weeks old. Again, crucificion and resurrection are the cornerstones of the trinity and therefore, by associating them with "ten week old" kittens, he's sneering at these doctrines and mocking them. I don't know if this rises to the same level as insulting our prophet (pbuh) but I'm sure there's at least one Christian out there who might disagree with me.
  6. Originally posted by Castro: He says she went on have the baby, despite knowing that he did not want to have a child with her. Ok that line pisses me off the most. How on earth can you (repeatedly) have unprotected sex with someone without wanting to have a child with them? So if he didn't want to have a child with her, why did he sleep with her? I understand not everyone is after children when in heat but bloody hell the risk of getting pregnant exists. What is the child's fault now? Why should he/she be punished? I'd take the bast@rd to the cleaners if I were that woman.
  7. ^ Very deliberate. He's supposedly an "expert" and ought to know the difference but he came across as anything but an expert. Which in fact is the truth for he's an expert on manipulating the ignorant masses and nothing else.
  8. ^ 100% sure. He boasts the article on his bloody website of lies. And I wouldn't call that twig "THE".
  9. Ku margada dheh all that oil they're stealing.
  10. Men's rights activists in the US are to argue in court that fathers do not have an obligation to pay money towards raising a child they did not want. The National Center for Men is fighting the case on a behalf of a man who says his ex-girlfriend had his child after telling him she could not get pregnant. Activists say men should have the same rights as women in dealing with the consequences of unintended pregnancy. Women's and children's groups have criticised the planned legal challenge. Leslie Sorkhe, of the Association for Children for Enforcement of Support, said a child "needs the emotional and financial support of both parents". "The child is entitled to his or her equal protection under the law," the website of The Detroit News quotes her as saying. Matt Dubay, the man at the centre of the case, said he did not expect the court to rule in his favour. "What I expect to hear is that the way things are is not really fair, but that's the way it is," he told the Associated Press news agency. "Just to create awareness would be enough to at least get a debate started." 'Roe v Wade for men' Mr Dubay says that his former girlfriend became pregnant with his child after assuring him she had a physical condition that prevented her from conceiving. He says she went on have the baby, despite knowing that he did not want to have a child with her. He now wants the court to free him from his obligation to pay $500 (£287) in child support every month. The National Center for Men is filing a case on behalf of Mr Dubay at a court in the US city of Detroit. The centre's director, Mel Feit, told the Associated Press news agency: "There's such a spectrum of choice that women have - it's her body, her pregnancy and she has the ultimate right to make decisions. "I'm trying to find a way for a man also to have some say over decisions that affect his life profoundly," he said. The centre has dubbed the case "Roe v Wade for men" - after the landmark US Supreme Court ruling that gave women the right to have abortions. Source
  11. ^ Saaxib you don't have to explain yourself coz I wasn't referring to you when I wrote that stuff above. It's the people who wrote it that make me ill.
  12. ^ Right on atheer. You embody the perfect minyar. I recently had a conversation with someone who assured me that if her husband wanted to marry another (of any age) he was free to do so but first he must: 1) Give up all the money (and assets) he acquired during their marriage, and 2) Give up custody rights to any children they have together below the age of 18. It's a fair deal I suppose. He gets a younger new wife, she gets the kids and the money. A woman can't really keep a man who wants to leave and she shouldn't. Just let him give up all the money and take his broke, wrinkled as$ to the new bride.
  13. ^ Hey thanks for that email. Would anyone who replied to this topic (and is interested) email OurHelpingHand@Gmail.com ?
  14. ^ Why don't you delight yourself all the way to the email addresses listed above then.
  15. ^ Good advice. Checkmate and anyone who wants to talk offline about this please email OurHelpingHand@Gmail.com where I'm creating a small list. This is definitely best done offline in the beginning.
  16. www.hirda.org looks very good. I've never heard of it but it looks very promising. Will look some more. It seems the British organizations are more effective than their American or Canadian counterparts. The latter are just too divided and too numerous. They even use paypal to accept donations. How about that for convenience? It'd be nice to see their financial statements though. Can the public even ask for these statements? Anyone know?

  18. Well before this mass euphoria fades (as it inevitebly does unfortunately), it is best to walk away from this with something concrete. Are there any organizations in the west that can be our chosen charity? A group with a proven track record of actual work on the ground. And one that is not associated with any western NGO. If there's one, we should adopt it and become fund raisers for it here on sol. If it doesn't exist, it's high time one was created. Anyone know of a group with that description? There are hundreds of small "community organizations" all over the US and Canada but do any of them work within Somalia and are based in the west? Just typing "Somali community" on Google made me dizzy.
  19. The civil war in Iraq has been going on for months, if not years. This is not like a race with a start and finish line. The US doesn't know, or care, or can do anything about the on going civil war in Iraq. Some freedom and democracy they brought to those people.
  20. ^ I will help any clan or tribe as I would my "own". Few on this forum think of or are bothered by clans. Many of us grew up away from that crap. When a Somali drowns in the Red Sea trying to get to Yemen, I never, EVER, wonder what clan he was. Same with those dying of hunger. My point is, when it comes down to it, I think clannism is not as big a problem as the logistics.
  21. How on earth did Daniel Pipes get an article featured on Islamcity.com? The man is one of worst right-wing and bigoted "commentators" America has ever produced. On Michael Jackson (and though he made Thrilla), I say gimme a ooucc.
  22. ^ Yes, it's for the (inevitable) future droughts. Only the members of this forum can raise $100,000 every year (with only $10-15 donated). Here's a good link on starting a charitable org in the US.
  23. ^ I got time and (some) money. What I don't have is vision and planning. But I would be more than glad to contribute in any way I can. Brain storming is in order but also a little more. Things like who is going to be on the ground in Somalia. If we're all out here, then whatever we do must be channeled through the bloody NGO's. I'm not going to Somalia and I don't want the person we have out there take the money and invest it in that mall in Galkacyo. There's got to be trust and it will be the most difficult aspect. Then the logistical difficulties follow that. And so on. Does anyone have or can create a charitable org. in their town or find ones that already exist? How do they get help to those who need it? Do they rent containers and put them on ships? My ignorance is vast in this area. I'm sure someone here knows.
  24. ^ But the question is, what possible motive might the person(s) circulating this rubbish have? What do they aim to achieve? Why does this (clearly fake) letter rise to the level of a hoax and not just a bad joke? I think it feeds some of the prejudices of (some) of its recipients. Or at least it is supposed to feed it. That's why. Nonsense fawqal nonsense.
  25. ^ No doubt atheer. Ain't no shame in my game. Johnny is smart for sure. Maybe too smart for his own good. But his constant lust and obsessive desire must, at least, divert much of his blood circulation into the wrong organs. This, in turn, can only lead to fabulous brain cells that are, unfortunately, deprived of valuable oxygen. And held without oxygen too long, these cells atrophy or die out. May be that's what we're seeing Johnny Bravo exhibit. All brawn and no brain.
