  1. ^ By writing "I'm sorry your highness" letter to Dubya. He didn't really blink, he got a sharp stick in his eye.
  2. ^ Civil wars and anarchies last two, three and even five decades. Ours is only a teenager. We've got a lot of room for growth and many other (now safe) areas to spread the conflic to. We're just getting started atheer. Wait till the entire generation born between 1985-1999 reaches its 20's and 30's. A generation that knows nothing but war, can't read or write and has precious little to live for. See how that makes a difference for the better.

I would absolutely help finance such an assassin unit. We're still looking at a decade or two (or more) before the dust settles, however. And though it may feel like it, we've not hit bottom yet.
  4. Originally posted by nameless_chick: And why people attacking me for calling someone artiest when some individuals called Allah the Almighty un-just? Am I the only rational person in this whole site? Hello nameless_chick. I'm the artiest formerly known as Prince. I have some good news for you: Allah, who created the heavens and the earth, hardly needs your defence. If you can show why calling the "Almighty unjust" is wrong, do it. If you can't, put your sword back in its sheath until you figure out how.

  6. Originally posted by Xoogsade: The court and the condemned man both belong to the same clan of Ali mahdi. The court has a clan now? You mean like American corporations are considered individuals? No way? I'd like to see the DNA results on that claim. Bwahahahahaha. Same clan my matako.
  7. ^ What's the point of an Agnostics vs. Believers match if all the Agnostics take off? Do you think we like to play with ourselves?
  8. Indeed. The questions raised surrounding the Pentagon (staged?) attack and the crash of United 93 in Pennsylvania are thought provoking. Unfortunately, few of these insinuations in the documentary, if any, will ever be substantiated and therefore it will be sidelined as conspiracy theories by, and for, America's "haters". I watched Loose Change a couple of months ago and when the United 93 Hollywood movie came out last week, I chuckled at the thought that many people would actually use this "based on true events" fiction as proof the plane actually went down. "So how do you know the plane went down?" Someone would ask a proud American patriot and the answer would come, "coz I saws it in da movie, duh!". Ah well. None of that matters for the plan worked perfectly and the US now owns the Middle East.
  9. Originally posted by Afro: Well I said before if I could change my ethnicity I would have signed for another nation, but fate made me one of them. Ah, the cruelty of fate. Pride, in my view, is something that should involve some sort of an accomplishment. Being born into a race, religion or region are things no one chooses and therefore pride in such matters is an indication of some personal deficiency. And for those of you who care, pride (kibr) is a terrible sin in Islam. So drop this nonsense.
  10. Originally posted by Nur: Today, the Music industry is fueled by an insatiable search for wealth by artists who employ troops of marketing and medida expers who guide them of the choice of Music content that will make the platinum and mega Dollars, in that quest, morality is the first victim as they target the youth' volnurability to sex and leisure, record after record, the youth becomes programmed to live for the sustenance of an industry that keeps them away from having time to think about the purpose of life. Money, Sex and Music, theree instruments Satan is cleverly using to distance man from his maker . Sheikh Nuurow, this description basically excludes the likes of Xassan Aadan Samatar from the evils of music for he neither goes platinum nor makes mega dollars. Is the problem in the message or the medium when it comes to music?
  11. Rap is ok but a little too fast (and vulgar) for my taste nowadays. About the only rap I can stomach is Cee-lo. 80's soul and r+b is the way to go. Legends like Freddie Jackson, Levert, Karyn White, Regina Belle, Keith Sweat, Atlantic Starr, Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, etc. Never cuss at anyone and the music matched the tremendous vocal talents. I'm so stuck in the 80's.

  13. Mayee nin kuuma haysatee way kaa toocsanaysaa. How about that for a thick foreign dialect? Xiinow, I don't understand why people here think I'm from Boorama. What could possibly have given them that impression, I wonder? Islaantaydii intayna bustaha banaanka ii dhigin waan ka caraabiyay meeshan anigu. I can't keep up with this insomniac younger generation. I got kids to feed (cereal) in the morning. Nite y'all.
  14. Originally posted by Bishy: I don't have to rush him to the Masjid. Everything I need to know is in his eyes and, smile when he looks at me. Hmmm. Do you have a temperature gauge (thermometer) at home? Edited to add: And I'm from Booraano , not Kuntursomething. Get your facts right Atheer. Booraano? LOOOOL. Atheer wherever that place is, neither you nor I wanna be from there. Kix Kix Kix.
  15. Good Bishaaro has fallen? Third time will be the charm, inshallah. If not, kill him so you'd still have another chance at a third time. Intuuna niic niic keenin ku qabo oo wadaad ugee faataxada ha idiin akhriyee. This love thing is infecting our youth around the globe, ma istidhaahdeen? From Alexus in Australia to Bishy in Kunturwaaray. No one is safe. Ilaahay khayr haydiinka wada dhigo. Aamiin.
  16. Originally posted by Khayr: Castro, Simple_Nomad is within his right as a muslim to respond to individuals that mock the Quran. Its a sure sign of Iman and Intelligence and not the other way around for Simple_Nomad to feel that way. You're right awoowe. This is a public discussion. I didn't make the brother feel bad, I hope. Khayrul kalaami maa qal wa dal , atheer, and Simple_Nomad didn't have to write this many words just to make a correction. If he felt an uncontrollable urge to set the record straight, announcing the correction then providing the relevant link(s) would have sufficed. Yalla, page 4 is a write-off at the moment.
  17. Jaylaani, the TFG is an infant government in resource-poor country. It faces enemies within and from the neighborhood. It's also made up of former warlords, strong men, community (read: clan) leaders and many decent Somalis who are genuinely interested in the welfare of their country. In some ways, you can think of it as a laboratory for the move from clannism to nationalism. In other ways, it is a 12-step rehab program for ex-warlords and other power hungry personalities. I'm hoping they're now on step 7+ where they have kicked the habit and see things with the eyes of the common Somali man. You know, thoughts for peace, prosperity, and shit like that. Time will tell whether it fails or not. For now, the prospects are dim and getting dimmer. But who knows, things may turnaround in a snap.
  18. Originally posted by Simple_Nomad: Sorry once again to dwelge into your debate but am sure brother Nur would excuse me as it is the duty for every muslim to defend the Quran and correct misconceptions about islam.location of Muhammad saw? Curb your enthusiasm, atheer. Nur has things under control here.
  19. You think the TFG is worthless, Jaylaaniow? It may be but it's all we (Somalis) have got atheer. So I am critical of it coz I want it to succeed. Why are you critical of it?
  20. ^ Oh my God! What shall we do?
  21. Originally posted by General Duke: The main test is to build on this and increase the capacity to effectively take control of more territory, whie avoiding direct confrontation with armed groups. Take control of territory without confronting the armed groups? You mean like squatting? LOL. Come on General. You and I both know (as does anyone who cares) that a confrontation is inevitable. And the longer it is delayed, the bigger it will be. Furthermore, the longer the status quo is maintained the less legitimate the TFG becomes. Assuming it has any legitimacy at all.
  22. ^ LOL. what makes you SICK?! Threads like these.
  23. ^ You mean applying the rule of law equally to everyone? So powerful warlords (and their clans) would have to answer to a court for repeated violations of human rights? Why that sounds like a great idea. Wake me up when it happens. Originally posted by General Duke: My leaders have disapointed me, they are the eleceted President of the republic, the PM and the Parliment speaker. They have not delivered as of yet to my very high expectations. Not even to my modest expactations have they delivered.
  24. Waryaa JB, yac baan ku idhi. Isn't this faith in "logic" just another form of faith? Remarkably a faith that doesn't even bother to offer any rewards. Atheer, since Nur and Cara seem to be busy, I'll harass you. Exactly which part of Religion (or Faith) bothers you? Is it the seemingly irrational belief in the unseen? In other words, the faith or religion itself are not the problem but the adherents are. So Islam is ok but Nur's belief in it is not, for example.
