^ I agree with the slight edge to Iran. But it's only slight. Have you thought of this scenario: Israel strategically bombs Iran's nuclear facilities and in the process "accidentally" kills a few hundred Iranians. Iran retaliates by declaring war on Israel and shutting off the Hormuz strait and oil prices skyrocket. When the whole world feels the pinch of higher oil prices, the US will be seen as "justified" in bombing Iran and they will. This whole scenario could transpire before the November elections, you know.

NEVER CHOKE IN A SOUTHERN RESTAURANT Two hillbillies Ed and Red walk into a bar. While having a shot of whiskey, they talk about their moonshine operation. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, "Kin ya swallar?" The woman shakes her head no. "Kin ya breathe?" The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no. The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up the back of her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue. The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again , the hillbilly walks slowly back to the bar. His partner says, "Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver', but I ain't never seed nobody do it!"

^ Ok, that brought you too much joy. Is it cause for concern? Earlier this month newspapers reported that the maid removed her employer's manhood when he tried to molest her in the middle of the night as his wife was sleeping. The maid is now in police custody. How can manhood and molest be put in the same sentence?

Surgeons have reattached the penis of a Saudi man who paid the price for trying to have sex with his Filipina maid and she attacked him with a knife, a hospital source said on Monday. "This is a sophisticated operation. You are dealing with an organ in a difficult area and you want to try to return to its efficiency," said a spokesman at Riyadh's Takhassusi Hospital. Earlier this month newspapers reported that the maid removed her employer's manhood when he tried to molest her in the middle of the night as his wife was sleeping. The maid is now in police custody. "It's one of the rare cases … but they did it (the operation) last week and it went smoothly," the spokesman said. "The hospital has done this kind of operation before, but only after people had car accidents." Source ---------------- What if he succeeded in "molesting" her, would he be in jail now?

^ Evolutionary pressure to pass on the genes via breeding is why we bother. You wouldn't be here if somebody didn't have an urge. So pass it on. No, really.

^ If he's not on vacation or in DC then, I'll drop by his office in Minneapolis in July and ask him the tough questios. Hopefully I won't be shipped off to Gitmo for doing that.

^ "Castor" knows not atheer. It's easy for us (me included) to judge others from the comfort of our couches. Family dynamics are difficult and few of us are able to master the intricacies of marriage and children.

Originally posted by Nafta: I've found a job in North Carolina (curiosly people mistake this for New Orleans and gasp whenever I tell them this...how odd). Any nomads who live there? If so, what is it like? Charlotte (if that's where you're going in NC) has many Somalis. North Carolina itself is a beautiful (but boring) state. If you like the outdoors, it's nice but most Somalis would rather choke than go camping. I usually speed through the Carolinas (north and south) on my way to Atlanta (about 200 miles south). Now that's the place to be in the south east (the area you're going to). With the cost of travel and the size of the country, I'd be surprised if you can manage anything but the east cost. If you see the DC area all the way down to Miami, you're basically a miracle worker. The northwest and California are too damn far so I'd exlude them from my itinerary. If you wanna buy some diracs, uunsi or Qaad, Minneapolis (MN) or Columbus (OH) should do the trick. You'll be amazed how large this country is and understand why everyone just stays in their little corner. Good luck and enjoy. If you make it to Texas, send me a PM. I'll buy you a Texas-sized Tazo Green Tea Latte.

Walee habar fadhida maxaa lagdin uga fudud. Verily there's nothing easier to a (woman) couch potato than wrestling. I believe in this case habar can be used for either a male or a female.

Originally posted by xiinfaniin: A very insignificant vote if you ask me. I thought so too until I realized the symbolism (ironically) of courting the Somali vote. Here you have Blacks, Africans and Muslims (some even claim Arab-hood) in a single community, nay a single person. The Somali voter provides the greatest bang for a campaign buck. I just wish we'd learn to use them as they use us. Sure Feingold and Coleman are after their own interests but we don't just have to be nice and give it (our vote) up so easily, see. They ought to buy us dinner, at least, before they get into our proverbial pants, so to speak. G'nite saaxib.

Did you notice the US is getting more and more publicly involved in Africa? Just how important was Darfur in, say, 2002 or 2003? Now we're sending food aid. Imagine that? I don't buy any of it though. The trouble in Chad and western Sudan is getting out of hand and the US needs people on the ground. That they happen to also distribute food-aid has never stopped America. Remember, first come the missionaries (or food deliverers) then come the marines. And with talk of shutting down Guantanamo Bay detention facilities, this Somalia resolution, and other examples of softer and gentler diplomacy, the US foreign policy schizophrenia is in full effect. I think we're gonna see a winding down of hostilities going into the election this November. If close to the election it is clear the Republicans will lose one or both houses, someone, somewhere, will get bombed. Mark my words, saaxib. It's textbook US foreign-cum-domestic policy and its painfully predictable. Too bad innocent blood is always spilt for a few votes here or there. Even if Coleman et al. get this resolution passed and anything is done in Somalia by Americans, it will be "counter-terrorism" military aid. As if we need any more weapons saaxib. I say America can keep its generosity.

^ LOL. Aamiin saaxib but don't give up. Ciyaari waa galin danbe. Hada waa lagaa adkaaday but you shall overcome saaxib. Keep the faith.

Dhibaato dhulkan majirto saaxib. Waxaan ahayn xamaali during the day iyo dabargooynta rubishka SOL at night ma hayo saaxib. Side kalee waa laguu roonyahay ninyahow. Adiga laftaada intee ka dhacday? Saudia Arabia, perhaps?

Originally posted by Jimcaale: Maxaa ku helay Castro? Doesn't adoon buug heysta means a slave with a book? Have you seen one? Oh I must have misunderstood then, Jimcaalow. For some reason I thought he was using the word "adoon" in a derogatory fashion to indicate stup!dity or lower intelligence but he only meant "slave". Why that's a much better description, almost a term of endearment. Anyone who claims to never have seen a black person with a book is himself illiterate and very likely also a bigot. As you were.

^ Not so fast atheer. There may still be bombing to be had. Bush "rejected" the letter from Iran on the grounds that it has no mention of halting nuclear research. LOL. Talk about getting b!tch-slapped. Now, the Iranians have a couple of options: either withdraw from the retched NPT and give the UN Security Council and its blood-thirsty members (US, UK and France) the finger and risk getting bombed to the stone age (my choice) or they could stop this nuclear nonsense and keep their clandestine support for the "terrorist" organizations in the hope that the US will eventually cut its losses in Iraq and Afghanistan and run. All the while cashing in on the $70+/barrel price of oil. It's hardly in their best interest to keep this posture. There are better ways to get what you want without losing life or limb.

Xiinow, at the moment, I'll just take an invasion. None of this democracy and rebuilding nonsense. Let us re-make Somalia into a home away from home for the US armed forces. Fully equipped with air bases, marine barracks and even submarine docking facilities. Let the country that took in hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia get something in return. P.S. (Republican senator) Norm Coleman is looking for Somali votes in Minneapolis.

I don't know about Djibouti, Somaliland or Eritrea but Madagascar looks really good. Thanks for the link. What a trip.

^ No I'm not. And just so you know, you're not entitled to your opinion. Not if it defies reality and facts. But if it agrees with facts, then it's really not your opinion but just another fact. For example, I can hold the opinion that the earth is flat but I can't claim to be entitled to that "opinion" (or any other fact-defying one) for obvious reasons. The whole concept of opinion-entitlement is rubbish.

But what can I offer her. The back of your shirt as you walk out the door....

^ Oh shut it please. You've no idea what anyone's motives are. If Socod_badne hates Islam by posting this what does that make of nations that finance and house US troops so they could invade their own brethren? Iran had no choice but to blink. The Russians and Chinese are no friends of Muslims and they will not defy the US to appease us. Iran saw the writing on the wall and had to wise up fast. If not, the outcome is quite clear.

Originally posted by Pure blood: Castro would you include the men from the north to be part of the assassinated too? Sorry to dissappoint you atheer but I'm mostly interested in Muqdisho warlords. I'm sure other (suspected, confirmed or self-confessed) warlords in other parts are worthy of killing but the Muqdisho ones take the cake. I believe that Somalia goes as Muqdisho goes. If that city is not saved, we might as well auction off the remainder of the country.
