  1. Lauryn Hill is retarded..lol.....what is she trying to prove? I think she's trying to save her reputation ever since that lawsuit. Anyway, if she felt this way, no1 forced her to perform for a religious event? How would you feel if you've invited a non-muslim speaker to an Islamic gathering...and he bursted out saying " we can't trust sheikhs b'coz they tend to fanatics"? There's a time and place for everything...she must've been high.

Masha Allah, she's a lil cutie! I'm proud of her.
  6. yey..officially purchased my tickets. Anyway...what about Sheikh Abdullah Adhami...he's by far my fav. sheikh...it's been 3yrs since I've last heard him speak. Ameenah, I always take notes I don't mind sharing with you guys. Rahiima, Sh.Hamza is a scholar I deeply respect...however I know there are others who are not fond of him (it's all opinions). He usually speaks of matters that I can relate to. Baashi, It starts. Jan.2-4th.
  7. Since when did it get soo personal for some folks what opinionated chose to practice? I think we all have opinions and convictions about Islam and we do our best to fulfill our obligations. I believe some folks really need to question the motive of their posts...is it to enlighten opinionated or to prove that her beliefs are questionable? I'm out.

    Jilbaab

Personally, I love the Cabaaya-Xijaab combination. I honestly think the jilbaab is a little too much to work with. It's huge and i'm sorry to say some women wear it too long that you're doing service for the city by sweeping the streets!!!! Whether it's jilbaab (somali version), or cabaaya, it's all the same. It's pretty much a cultural preference....as long as everyone fulfills the specific requirments of modesty:) Afuur wanaagsan......& EID MUBARAK !!!!

    When you....

Most of the time, I think in English ...or so I thought. During my freshman year, a friend of mine over heard me.....you see I talk in my sleep...and she reported that I speak somali 99% of the time. And speaking of dreams, do you guys have vivid dreams each and every single night?
  16. Tamina is as good as her words. Tamina is an author. Tamina is a park ( A park named after moi?? sweet). Tamina is a hotel. and finally... Tamina is a cemetery. Afur Wanaagsan....I'm starving, thanks for keeping me entertained SOL once again. Later.

    Yusuf Islam

Instead of downloading, I'd suggest that we support the brother by purchasing his album. All that hard work...and no profit? I'm pretty sure he puts it into good use
  18. Me and my sister saw something when we were very young....I rather not talk about. It freaks me out to this day!!!
  19. Flying Still...I was also fixated on that part...and how could a two year old inflict previous injuries such as broken bones? I'm not buying the father's story.....but innocent until proven guilty right?
  20. Originally posted by Libaax-Sankataabte: If this culture of "I don't have it", "don't test me" continues, Somalia will have the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the continent soon. LOL. You've taken the words outta my mouth. Khayr....lol...pimpin' in kenya huh ... wa iga qoslisey.
