How is Xuddur near the so-called 'border'? Xuddur is not close to Xarar, where the real Soomaali border supposedly ends. -
Report claims Siyaad Barre was not Muslim?
Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar replied to Deeq A.'s topic in Politics
Eebbe ha u raxmado marxuum Maxamed Siyaad Barre, hana u dambi dhaafo - aamiin. Dadweyne wada jiran oo bukaan ah ayuu isku haaye as it is being proven by in the last 27 and so years. Alloow kuu naxariiso. And this is coming from me, whose family Siyaad Barre have affected more than any other SOLer on here. -
I got 10/12. I misclicked one, so it is really 11/12. Not bad.

I see Aaden Madoobe iyo xulafadiisa want him to be back as a guddoomiye baarlamaan. Maba shiixayaan. Ra'iisul wasaare Kheyre wax badso wax beel amee ku dhacdaa. Mid pro-Shariif Xasan, pro-Xabashi, pro-Imaaraad ah hadduu kursigaas ku fadhiisto instead of Jawaari wuu ka shaleyn doonaa.

Waa runtaa. Can you just imagine what happened in Rwanda for three and one week in the year of 1994. Rabi ayaa og sidee isku galeen. You can't also imagine wixii ka dhacay Kiinya 2007 post-election on that year. Soomaali wey isdishay, wey isgumaaday, wey isxasuuqday 25 sano iyo ka badan laakiin wali iimaankeena waa jiraa (at least the majority).

UAE torture one of their own brothers.
Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar replied to galbeedi's topic in Politics
I remember when this came out. I thought Reer Galbeed media were exaggerating and didn't believe much. In retrospect now, waa xoolo xun dadkaas waligooda reer miyi iska ahaa. What was their culture before maalka ee heleen? Baadiye? Waa Reer Baadiye badar ka dhargay aanan noole u naxeynin, sokeeye iyo shisheeyaba. -
Remembering the ‘Somalia Affair,’ Canada’s Forgotten Abu Ghraib Moment It’s been 25 years since Canadian soldiers killed a 16-year-old boy On the night of March 16, 1993, 16-year-old Somali Shidane Abukar Arone was caught trespassing by Canadian soldiers deployed in his country. Shortly after midnight, he was dead. At the time, Somalia was in the midst of a brutal civil war that had sent more than 1.5 million refugees—a fifth of its population—fleeing beyond its borders. Thousands were dying every week from starvation and lack of medicine. Desperately needed humanitarian aid was being stolen by militia leaders and sold on the black market. In December 1992, Canada sent a 1,400-strong force as part of a UN peace-enforcing mission to ensure the food got to Somalis in need. Four months later, Arone snuck into the perimeter of the Canadian base in the town of Belet Huen, 341 kilometres north of the Somali capital of Mogadishu, and was found hiding in a portable toilet by a Canadian Airborne Regiment (CAR) patrol. Arone didn’t resist arrest, claiming he was looking for a lost child. The patrolmen suspected he was a thief. Arone was taken to an underground bunker in the Canadian encampment, tied up and blindfolded. What happened next is surely one of the ugliest incidents of modern Canadian history. Somalia: Saudi Arabia offers to mediate Somalia and UAE
Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar replied to maakhiri1's topic in Politics
Waa kugu raacsanahay. Soomaaliya waa dowlad taagteeda wanaagsaneyn wali, marka qolo iyo cid walba iskuma diri karno. We need to be tactical iyo si xirfiyeysan loogu fiirsado, siiba Sacuudiga. I don't think Sacuudiga would want to lose Soomaaliya in the same manner they lost their influence in Yeman, Urdu, Lubnaan iyo Suuriya.- 20 replies

The uproar against the attempted daylight robbery of Berbera port by Xabashida and the rulers of Dubeey, there is one corner that is very eerily muted: Madaxda maamul goboleedyada except the obvious one in Hargeysa. The usual suspects, the known pro-Xabashi and pro-Dubeey - chief among them Gaas and Shariif - are very reticent this time, even when baarlamaanka dowladda dhexe made all DP World agreements null and void, which affects the suspicious agreements on Boosaaso and Baraawe as well. Perhaps they are binding their time, perhaps not. Perhaps qalalaasaha Itoobiya ka taagan and its leadership vacuum is making them hesitate since there won't be Xabashi ugu yeeraayo from Adisababa. Perhaps wey ka dhabeynayaan to follow the dowladda dhexe anything dealing with foreign affairs as it was agreed in their last meeting in Muqdisho. Time will tell.

...taas oo ah inay the 'reality' ogyihiin, Soomaaliya iyo baarlamaankaba masuul ka tahay meel walba Soomaaliya ka mid ah, including Berbera.

Maan, this is one of the top political cartoons by Amiin Caamir, if not the top three of all time by him. I had seen and enjoyed his political cartoons about maryooleey since 1991 when he used to draw the editorials for Shabeelle Press that was published in Muqdisho in those days. In those days, his favourite subjects were jabhadaha geeljiraha Xamar soo galay with their geels and geel mentality. I was 11-12 years old then and I remember asking whoever was going to suuqa Bakaaraha to buy for me the latest Shabeelle Press.

Ninkaan ayaa si macquul ah u hadlo, unlike madaxweyne ku sheega sida mööryaanta camal u hadlo, u dhaqma, oo islaamaha ilmeeysiiye. No wonder he is a muqayil marqaanle weynaaday kaas. Eniwey, this man makes much sense politically.

At least they are in their xafiisyo, anyone can request a visit, specially a UN envoy for Soomaaliya, unlike: Why are they even 'meeting' a Qaramada Midoobay envoy for Soomaaliya? Hmm... This Keating dude doesn't bother with madaxda in Nayroobi, Adisababa or Casmara because he knows they are different countries, unlike...

I don't know how many times aan walaalaheena Turkiga mahadsanid dhihi karo, but I will keep it: Mahadsanidiin again. The least I can do personally is I started flying with their airline, Turkish Airlines, instead of the usual KLM. It is also bonus sight to see all those beautiful masaajido and their minarets while approaching and landing in Istanbuul.

Dowladda Soomaaliya also has another way to discourage tahriibka. To those few who are lucky enough to reach Yurub while still alive are asked to proof their Soomaali dhaladnimadooda. They rush to the closest Soomaali embassies to get Soomaali documents. Jarmalka, Talyaaniga iyo Faransiiska gaar ahaan do have this policy, so marka dowladda can deny any document to any one tahriib ku yimid. I think dowladda inay idaacadaha iyo baraha bulshada saas ka sheegaan fiican, hala cabsiiyo dadkaan.

Somalia president warns Ethiopia and DP World
Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar replied to Saalax's topic in Politics
Dying few remaining hardcore secessionist breed scared to death for the mere words from Farmaajo. Yaa isgaaray, aadaada aada. Dowladda Soomaaliya has a lot of venues at her disposal, any which way dowladda can go by, which dowladda of course will utilize, including maxkamadda ku taala London, the same maxkamad the maafiya DP WORLD is suing Jabuuti. So can Soomaaliya. Dowladda Soomaaliya also has a final nuclear option of blocking any doon iyo markab ku xirto Berbera. Secessionists Amxaar-u-niikis might think it cannot be done currently, but they don't know nothing. If the little baaq from Jaamacadda Carab scared them, let's wait and see if that shaarboweyne can help them. Shaarboweyne and his company were kicked from Mareykanka to Yeman, from Suudaan to Jabuuti. He couldn't do nothing. -
