  1. Of course Puntland and other arid areas of somalia should emulate Almeria but the question is can we get an access to the middle east markets and is there also an enough source of reachable ground waters beneath our land? if the answer is yes yes then the rest is dig dig and prosper...
  2. total crap... there is no such a thing called pure race and people were shagging each other for long long time.
  3. Sharif stated long ago that Ugandans will leave but not with the barrel of a gun and that is not going to help. If people continue fighting the Ugandans, it will only support the notion that more foreign troops are needed to restore peace and stability.
  4. Marx it is the barbaric factors that brought the country to its demise and it is something we can not ignore if we are serious about solving the somali problem. I for one have to say, diversification of the government is the biggest equation that sheikh sharif has to solve while of course also keeping in mind the variable of merit at the same time. I think it is not hard to find an educated minority and someone who is well respected in somali society. You have people like nuraadin farah and etc. Daandurray: I have to agree with you , the Samatar bros are also good choices and the fact they belong to a pivotal minority group even makes them more appealing than others. Of course move like this will definitely steal the show from Riyaale.
  5. What if the prime minster is from a minority tribe? The other day I was talking to friends at a social gathering event and as usual for somalis we ended up talking about politics and the new president of somalia, Sheikh Sharif. Someone asked what would be the first step of Sheikh Sharif to untangle the somali knot and who should he surround him self to do so? Everyone of us brought their suggestions to the table and i suggested may be this time we should try giving the prime minster to a minority group like the barawani people or a somali bantu. Then distribute the other powerful minsters accordingly by giving them to the major tribes and while doing so give the least favorite minsters to his folks the H-block. I have also suggested that he should also avoid including the ex-TFG folks in his government and if he could not do so may be send them to a distant lands as a diplomats and etc. The reason i thought so is because if the prime minster is selected from PL, the SL folks will not be too happy and many other folks even within the D-block themselves will not be happy either. So this is of course a decoy to shift the attention from who takes the second most powerful position of the government. So SOLers what is your take on this?
  6. I recommend someone giving lashes to that Marx dude just like alshabab does.

  19. Originally posted by -MARX-: I am an Awdalite, and the overwhemling majority of people from awdal support the somaliland government. Its all an issue of political representation, if awdal joins the Somalia then our representation will be 1/18 and our political voice will diminish considerably, however if we stay with the Somaliland Govt, we are more represented as our representation is much higher at 1/6 states. Those Awdalities who oppose somaliland are evil and not worth of mention! What exactly did the somali govt do for awdal in the 1980s and beyond. it was one of the most deprived and under-developed states in somalia. Dualism was highest there! You are also part of Jabouti of course, you folks being the second largest somali clan after the C-block and you are treated second class citizen over there. Forget about the prospect of getting top seat your people struggle there with their day to day living. Jaboutian friend once told me, that in jabouti every sector of business is monopolized to the extent even sour milk imports from yemen belong to a someone and if anyone else other than that someone tries to import they face the law. You can pretty much guess who that someone entitled to import sour milk is, yes of course non but a C-block folk. Waryaa perhaps G-Block folks like to be dominated in everywhere... P.S: Somaliland is in honeymoon period and that honeymoon will last up until before recognition is given. Once that recognition is given all of you sum of others will find your self bottom of the gutter.
  20. ^ Is that the dayniile.com equivalent of somaliland? May the destructions they wish for others befall on them...
