^^ I agree Let me give u an example, i have this pakistani friend who after couple times dating simply awful pakistani guys who were strangely PERVERTED, the only reason she went out with them is for thier looks and their ability to fiancially support her. But lastly she understood that a persons looks or money isnt an important part of the person's makeup as an individual...Once u start looking past the persons looks and concentrate on thier personality strangely enough this person is going to be beautiful to you. My freind is now with a nice muslim black/indian southafrican guy who respects and worships her Oh and the cute ones will not come to you they are usually full of themselves or simply stupid..but there are always those great rare ones

I have just finished two books... The poisionwood bible by Barbara Kingsolver..a very dull book in the start..continues to be dull at the end. Most of the book takes place in the Congo, a missionary family from the US tries to convert a village in the middle of congo, the family gets mixed up in the heat politcal uprise in early 60's of that country. The house of the spirits by Isabel Allende..this book was amazing i loved it..entailed politics, family,sacrifice. Based compeletly in Chile..the form of writing the author uses is amazing in a strange way u can almost feel the emotions of the characters.Let me just say i cried couple of times. I recomend one book always Harafish by Naguib Mahfouz ... amazing saga that goes for almost 5-6 generations of one family.

Umm maybe the reason they are frowing upon you is that u hangout with non-muslims not neccesarily non-somalis.I have never had this problem as i always had friends who were Arabs, Sudanis, Pakis..but i never was able to have close friends with non-muslims..i dont know why. it all came down to trust and similarities.

If i wasnt there why would it be my fault.If its a guy i would tell him to stop crying like a sissy and get over it..if tis a girl i would comfort and tell its a part of life in this foriegn countries. What would u do if a member of your family as in Cousins, was using you in the manner of taking care of her kids while she partyed all nite long...would u tell her the truth or ignore it.
