    hobbies

I collect the tickets of movies i watched. Not really a hobby, but its somewhat of a memory keeper. i also hve a thing for jewelry.not gold or diamonds.but stones and beads and pearls. if anyone is into fashion. this is the year of bead jewellery! and great bangles
  2. its silly. really no other word. the only reason they wanted to show the picture is to prove to the arabs..in iraq or those protesting in the streets, that sadam is no more then an old man in is underwear, "look at your great leader, he cant even wear pants, or look at how we debased your leader, we are more powerful!" They are insulting them to the face! lol i dont even know if it makes any sense. i doubt these ppl are really fighting for Sadam hussien, but rather for their country.heh american politics. is...? heh
  3. There is a limit naturally, and an person would set such a limit in accordance with nature of thier friendship. If a person is a good freind they should understand you and know what is offensive and wat is not. Personally, when it comes to ppl that i just met or dont know that well, a joke about black or somali ppl(if they who somalis are!) is something i cant take. I make it clear! from the start that what they said was rude and ignorant. But honestly, i thnk jokes between freinds is no harm, if everyone is trustworthy and generally a decent person. Sometimes u just dont know a person and thier intentions behind saying something that on the surface sounds inocent.
  4. Yep it was one helluva vote, anyone saw the dramatic turn of the camera when the independant mp no one was sure of got up, lol it was pure suspense. And all that stuff about Parish being sick and the other MP getting a "heartattack" i love the canadian politics in action. Question period is great, makes u almost believe in a democracy. SO the liberals won. they should have. THe Conservatives are wack for POWER, and the Bloc Quebois have an agenda of thier own . Did i say i love Jack Layton..the man is a true politican, glad i voted for him. took on a great opportunity and brought foward a bill that will help out the average guy. All in all Stephen Harper is Evil. Bloc Quebois leader is dillusional( he'll never get his own francphone country!) and Paul Martin close to a mental breakdown...the country should be left to Jack Layton....!

  6. Salam I am not sure about the men not cutting thier hair until marraige. But I know that, when i began wearing the hijab, I was told repeatdly that there was no need for it until I was married. This was from some women in my family. And times even told that it would hurt my marriage prospects. MOst annoying line.."why? ur so young," u would think i registered to live in a reiterment home. The reason behind, dont know, but have heard (unreliable sources) that the hijab (here covering of ur hair, chest) was'nt widely expected of unmarried girls in Somalia back in the day.

    MAY 18th

Happy Sland Day, I am not much of a flag waver, but hey, just this once.
  8. are u sure about the psychopath part? it was just common sense i mean she met him in the funeral of her mother, so he must have known the family well enough to come, so why wouldnt he come to the funeral of the daughter as it also happened a few days later, most ppl would come.
  9. massive choice eh, honeslty, its what the hijab means to you....therefore it depends. TO me its a part of me,,,a part of my identity..take it all or leave it...also u can be tricky about it dress greatly, sharp and smart, ur hijab doesnt have to stand out like a sore thumb, match and coordinate...if u still feel that it was the hijab, as the main reason for ur rejection...then i am sure u wouldnt want to work for bigots, even if tis ur dream job

    Home

I love that question, "so where's back home?" my answer is I have no idea! lol well not exactly, see i grew up in the Qatar, i cherish the memories and i loved it, but its not home now to me, I am here in Canada, i am fine with the country, but its where I live and its not home for good atleast, I would love to go to somalia/somaliland but i dont see a me doing more then a 6 month holiday there right now. I believe i havent found out where home is for me yet, but thats not to say, i deny my identity as a somali, its my country. But i thnk the defination of home is a bit stronger than that.
  11. lol You've answered your own question...really its just that a guy who is 21-23 isn't usually ready to settle down..while a girl at the same age is, so when a girl is trying to find the perfect partner for her, she would prefer to go for the guy who behaves as if he is ready to get married!, not the guy who still dresses as if he just graduated highschool...no yoyo's

  15. Inaa Lilaahi Wa Inaa Ileyhi Raajicuun Ahmed Zaki , for those of you who dont know him, he was one of the greatest egyptian actors, his roles were real, amazing and touched the hearts of those who love masri movies. Its such a loss for the ppl who loved his roles, that almost always had a strong hitting political and social undertone According to reports, he was a heavy smoker and died from Lung Cancer.

  19. Ya Rab its true, just heard it on the news, CBC, The Hour, around 9.30. A woman eating wendy's chili found a finger in her soup, she actually had it her mouth, ewwwwwww! It was a woman's manucured finger! I am lost for words........more reason to save my money and eat at home.....whats wrong with beef?!
  20. Seriously, you would think that as muslims since birth, we would get over the hijab question! Wear it or leave it. Haddad isnt it true that, there shouldnt complusion in religion? To impart knowledge of the dinn on your children is important, a girl of 16 who refuses to wear it, obivoulsy made her decision. On the poster's question I thnk the first time i was called a sister by a complete stranger(muslim) was when i came to Canada.I found it peculiar, but it was nice, knowing that ppl accepted you,are we united, i would say that we are not that bad, and i can truly see the younger generation taking it further. The whole arab thing, comeon now, many girls love the arab hijab style and the abaya rocks, but its true, abaya does not equal religious, all i want to say its hard, putting on the hijab in a western society for young girls, if fitting into the arab clique is what makes them comfortable, we shouldnt chastise them Hope my rabblings made sense
  21. Let me say this.. Whaaaaaaaa??????? Your in love with him.Yet you leave him with in the most strangest manner.Maybe you had to stay for a real strong reason....But after 5yrs ! of dating.one would suppose marriage was somewhere in the near near future....
