  1. Mohamed Abdillahi Saad, an even worse plagiarist Barely a week after Jama Elmi was caught plagiarizing by Ahmed Dirie, an other "author", Abdillahi Mohamed Saad, who was bragging around recently about the quality of his English, has been using the same technique of copy and paste. To prove the case, let's examine the same strange similarities between the recents article of Mr Saad and the content of various websites Table 1: Similarities between Abdillahi Mohamed Saad first article, Electoral injustice in Somaliland, http://www.somaliweyn.com/pages/poems/Nov_05/14Nov5.htm and University of Toronto test case, http://www.lawlib.utoronto.ca/testcase/gpbackground.htm Electoral injustice in Somaliland University of Toronto test case “Our current system of electoral injustice is not justified, as some would say, on the basis that it promotes stability, avoids political upheaval observed in many parts in Africa†“Similarly, our current system of electoral injustice is not justified, as some would say,! on the basis that it promotes stability, and avoids the political upheaval observed in other countries like Israel and Italy†“This alleged justification is embarrassingly vulnerable to the facts, which demo! nstrates that such instability is the result of factors in the political environment of these countries which are not duplicated in Somaliland†“This alleged justification is embarrassingly vulnerable to the facts, which demonstrates that such instability is the result of factors in the political environment of the! se countries which are not duplicated in Canada†“In almost every democratic country in the world election laws are based on the principal of proportionality , in which the constituencies are represented in parliament in accordance with the percentage of! votes each receives.†“In almost every other democratic country, election laws are based on the principle of proportionality, in which parties are represented in Parliament in accordance with the percentage of votes each receives.†“The electoral system of Somaliland suffers a huge democratic deficit . it strikingly misrepresents the popular will of the people.†“Second, our electoral system, paradoxically, suffers a huge democratic deficit. Literature will renew itself only if it re-offers its greatest asset: the truth. This concept has been lost†Now I understand why Saad reacted with anger about his poor command of the English language. Saad has just peppered his first article (The banana republic and the media biais) with so many borrowed sentenced to toughen up his English and yet the weakness of the text could be easily detected. Saad, author, a well known promoter of tribal hatred in Ottawa, was so eager to sho! w that he cut and pasted entire paragraphs in order to show off. I understand now why the point of the author could not be understand, Saad was only trying to impress people with borrowed sentences and stolen expressions with no regard to the overall signification. Furthermore there is Abdillahi Mohamed Saad inability to convey faithfully his opinions. Usually late learners of English like Mr Saad who is primarily a Francophone, can master the art of spelling but are often inadequately equipped to provide the appropriate syntax to their contentions. For example, the author is casting himself as a die-hard Somailander and will still side with ! people denying the very existence of Somaliland like Said Samatar. At the same time, the author is whining about the shifting allegiance of his clansmen (Awdalites as he call them) but without specifying what DEFINING ISSUE should lead the Awdalites to be against Somaliland. Moreover, the author contends that "he will never call himself a Somalilander", further contradicting the "die-hard Somalilander" of the previous article. Bottom line, Mr Saad is a die-hard Somalilander who will never call himself a Somalilander, who used to support Somaliland in 2000 but subsequently reversed hiss stance because his fellow awdalites decided to do so. Either this man is mentally sick or betrayed by the quality of his English. Mohamed Sougal Ottawa, Canada
