Meh,don't sweat it. I'm sure some fortunate Farah will lure you into eternal domestic incarceration and you'll secretly curse anyone remotely involved in casting this terrible affliction upon you. Till then, kick your diana usage up a notch.

Somali Women and Revert Marriage Phenomenon
GaroweGal replied to Mr. Gello - The proud Soma's topic in General
Originally posted by Eng.Cadde: I think this is very hot issue,I see sisters are advocating for interracial marriages simply because they dont want to be demonized when they find themselves in such sticky situation and that the brothers here are against it. So if a girl is open to strange adults making their own decisions that can only mean she is hitting or planning to hit up an ajanabi? What about if a Somali male does not 'condone' this entirely halaal union? Does that mean he possess racial fetish of ajanabis too? (or mayhap he has a dozen baby mommas that are ajanabi- say that is more the classy, respectable Somali male way eh?) -

I subtly tell the girl i am interested, if i say hi it doesnt mean i am interested What is your idea of 'subtle'? Mosy importantly how do you greet women? You see, the very first words you exchange with another person are very much in essence the defining moments of your relationship and sets up much of what is to be for the next few encounters. If you are just saying 'hey' this indicates a very medicore and relaxed relationship. While the greeting 'heeey' is blatant show of interest. Not only that but it is a demonstration of what I would refer to as very highschool-ish primitive ever evolving shukaansi. If you believe this does not extend to our beautiful greetings of Islam you are severly mistaken! You see a mere as-salamu caleeykum evinces a warm, friendly, good natured relationship to transpire between the two individuals. However, an elongated as-salaaamu caleeeykum suggests something more, not quite sinister but enough to warm the loins of the most pious sheik/had. So please do take into account the subliminal messages you may or may not be sending.

I use to think this would bother me and am happy to say I have since matured. I have no problem if my future hubby was to re-marry provided this is done when I am 50+.

Naag maa loo abtirsan karow wth!! However, when that unknown inquisitive Somali elder asks who my family is, I generally give my mother's surname because hooyadee reerkeeda baa ka magac dheer meshaan jooko. If I was in my beloved Garowe it might have been a different story.
