Asxabul kahf So is co-existing possible then between kufr nations and iman nations in the world? For instance, say we brand China as a Kufr nation (X), can in your explanation China coexist, and live in peace with a nation of Iman (XX) in the world? Does the Iman nation allow that kind of coexisting? Or is Kufr, the word and its meaning pertained to an individual character, a possessive word that only applies to a person’s mischief and evil-doing which then, as I think, could be found on both sides…amongst us and amongst them? I am trying to make sense of your direct explanations because to me the world is a bit more dimensional and diverse...Is the person who cheats on his/her spouse Kufr? Do you mean Kufr as someone with a different ideology then? Are Kufr people to be punished for their Kufr by people like you and me, claiming to have the Iman or do they wait their justice from Allah? Please don't take this as though I am questioning the holy quotations you posted but I’m trying to clarify that issue of living with each other, with other human beings who are different from us in many regards including the fact that they lack Iman…Is that possible? Light and dark co-exist in the world harmoniously as day and night. I’m sure you can convince me so easily, I am curious that’s all.

I try very hard to be as objective as possible about these kind of conflicts...It's hard you know...you always remain to be on one side believing in them and their causes...We are all preconditioned when it comes to the morality and the lawfulness of war…A lot of external interferences are always there...I think we can’t rid ourselves such things. They are always there to support our stands. That's one of the many reasons why I stop when I see myself inclining toward one way or the other...because every one When it comes to warring...everyone, every side is right...they all defend causes….and rightly so Didn't you see the tens of people on TV arguing against every point you present in a debate against the other side’s cause and reason...they are always right and justified. This side argues that they are simply doing this to better matters, they are trying to bring about peace, an ever lasting one and so on...defending themselves from the aggressors, eradicating them, waving the way for a brighter future, fearing, claiming that they are being held under the gun, cities and all… But while that side cites all these deeply-held beliefs you think them as morons, you think they are missing the main point, that they are doing more harm than good, that they are basically worsening life not only for the enemy over there but for themselves over here too...war you say destroys, you say those on the other side is just people like you, go and talk to them, share, it is only a land, let bygones be bygones…history doesn’t matter the future ahead is significant, you try to reason with them, show them the pain and the suffering on the other side too…you talk about root causes, creating a rift between the two worlds, you pluralize your words, try to be inclusive, embrace if you could But they distance themselves, your logic hardens them farther, they don't listen to your corrupt analysis simply because they believe that you are a bunch of pacifists, and pacifists are naturally cowards…they claim that you are not looking the bigger picture, that your actions and words are putting everybody in jeopardy, with your attitude, we will lose more than what we are trying to protect right now, that you are basically aiding the other side thus your point of view simply becomes null and void. you can't win them over, they can't win you over...war divides good minds and that's why it's always a good thing to stay away from taking sides on issues that are deeply, deeply HELD... however, I think at the end of the day we, as humans, all need and desire the same things, rights and all, regardless of our affiliation and the color of the uniform we are wearing.... May peace prevail in all the LANDS.

No doubt the difference between these two is shrinking and the comparison is plenty. By observing the pattern of their speeches and the targets they choose… I, for one, conclude here that there is a trait, a character or two Sh. Aways and my main man John Ashcroft share... lashing out like that, taking the moral high ground against these filthy-lovers I think Sh. Aways as our own John my-mind-is-full-of-freakishly-large-breasts Ashcroft. He is out there to show us the right, trying, like his god-fearing American mentor, to rid evil stuff in our lives and souls…guiding us…doing his duty, protecting his flock from the filthy of this world…what a true Shepherds they are…Sheikh Aways Dahir and John Ashcroft…the banner reads: brothers in arms… "indecency everywhere is indecency"

I did not want to log in today at all...but somehow I had to, I felt like I must stop and pay my respects and prayers to young Yasmine...May the almighty have HIS mercy on her young soul and reward her with paradise...and wash away all her sins...It's so, exteremely so sad..not the death itself, that we all await, but the circumstances are disheartening... An autopsy revealed the cause of death as multiple stab wounds to the neck. Her body was left for a number of days in an area with many other garbage bags, which residents say would have been picked up sooner had garbage collectors showed up when they were supposed to.

I can't understand why the Italians featured in the world cup a guy like Materazzi who had nemorous occossions of voilant bahviours in and out of the pitch....In one incident Materazzi who was not in the pitch, awaits a player in the tunnel and punchs him in the mouth giving him a huge cut and swollen lip...there are many other times where he insults and taunts other players...trash talk...And knowing his bad conducts and unprofissional tactics, the Italianz picked him for the World Cup...that really says a lot about them...AZZURI MILAN, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Inter Milan defender Marco Materazzi faces a fine from his club and a possible suspension from soccer authorities after hitting Siena defender Bruno Cirillo at the end of a Serie A match at the San Siro stadium. Materazzi, who is out injured, did not feature in the Inter team who beat Siena 4-0 on Sunday but clashed with Cirillo in the tunnel of the stadium after the final whistle. Cirillo later appeared on Italian television with a thick lip and a cut face. 'This is what Materazzi did to me,' said Cirillo. 'I want to say it to everyone so that the people know who that person is.' He said Materazzi had been taunting him from the sideline throughout the game and then hit him in the tunnel. Italy international Materazzi apologised saying there had been a 'scuffle' but added that it was former Inter defender Cirillo who had confronted him after the game. CAREER PROFILE Materazzi has never been considered a great defender. He had a very late breakthrough. he got recognized because of his bad performances. He played in the EPL, with Everton. Was not having a good season despite that he at least played 27 matches. So Materazzi became an Everton reject and he moved back to Italy and his third spell with Perugia. He is very good at provoking other players by insulting them, taunting them, calling them names and sometimes resorting to physical. “Bellamy was sent-off with five minutes gone after clashing with defender Marco Materazzi and became the fastest dismissal in Champions League history.†“in '02 against Korea totti got red carded, Materazzi got red carded†“Italy was reduced to 10 men in the 51st minute when Marco Materazzi was sent off for bringing down Marco Bresciano just outside the area†Australia Vs. Italy 06 “I have seen the video. It is such a disgraceful for players like Materazzi ever allowed to play in games, given the nature of his very childish behaviour.†Vs. Milan in 04 And let’s not forget that famous headbutt he got from Shevchanko…While he said something nasty to him…ShEVcho got angry and headbutted him to eternity. Luckily thou the referee did not catch any of it…and Inter lost a goal by Sheva. Remember the bleedin noise of the American... http://www.gazzetta.it/Foto%20Hermes/2004/02-Febbraio/02/cirillo--232x157.jpg http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport3/worldcup2002/hi/team_pages/italy/squad/newsid_1859000/1859516.stm

I just want to know the psychology behind such act. What did he say that was so bad that he had to resort headbutt in a final game where Henri and Vieri are already benched..? Still a great player, still a magic in the pitch, still a huge fan but what on earth did that guy say to ZZ that made him go wild like that........I am curious....Did those sideline Mikes pick the exchange???what happened?

For anyone like me, I think this is the best place, the right setting to come to and solicit some advice and counsel on a social issue like the one you are confronted with. By sifting through the postings; choosing carefully the solid opinions over the loud and noisy rubbish, I think, no matter how unbelievable this may sound to our ears, some people can deliver in the midst of this gibberish talk, some valid wisdom. I don't think I'd ever feel comfortable though to let my friends know my 'relationship hesitations' and personal thoughts but I am so certain that I would be able to step on a podium like this one and divulge some dark thoughts about my life and at the same time totally feel un-obliged. I could simply do that and more easily because it protects and fits my life-style which is like some people very secretive....So for me and you then this is the right forum to step in and without a second thought bare ourselves naked in front of these strangers and be absolutely indifferent to their damnation or compliments and recommendations... Hope you get from us all what you are looking for, that assurance, that valid opinion that supports your current positions whatever it may be…(sensible and helpful views of course that sound significant to you from the few in here who are sincerely trying to help out)...Good Luck

This reminds me South East Asia in earlier 90s. Construction boom that went belly up within 2yrs time. I think the smart thing would have been to follow China's and India's footsteps and invest in humans...so that when time comes and oil money dwindles or totally ceases the next generation would at least be hot commodity around the Silicon and financial markets around the globe...

Farewell Sven. You seemed to prefer women to trophies

The Swede whatever he had in the past, he apparantly lost it long time ago. I never understood why the English had to keep him for all these times with the same agonizin results... Given the chance and the lenght of time he had with these players, I think Wenger or Ferguson could have his job and could have done it much better. The sad thing is that the fans and the Englsihs FA realized this after losing 4 WC in the same horrifyin fashion...He managed poorly...and deserved to go yrs ago... -
that was simply superb...They came out...shut them down...scored and rightly celebrated... Cheers France...

Brazil have not been tested yet...Let's see and watch how they hold up against the French... As Ghana goes, i think no one was even thinkin anything close to an upset...they run around a lot but got no finishin touches...I think they could taket he Brazilian if they put their heart in the game and stop callin themselves The Brazilian of Africa....Go figure! it's a cruel world...where your mentors never even cuts you slack.
-
I think those of us who are rooting for Ghanains and wavin their flag and cheerin and dancing to their rhytem, and hopin a win against, against huhuhuhuh yeah a win against Brazil are simply settin themselves up for a horrible disappointment... unless we follow the Italian footsteps and do what the Italians are doing and do it big, i think we stand no chance...yeah, the Italian play book simply Pay up the referees...give them one of them Coccoa farms in Akra....two PKs and couple of FK in the 18 will secure a win...yeah...I think we should be attackin the referees with handful of offers. The Italians are doing...and I bet the Germs will soon start doing it...All bets are off in this W C...

It was so sad to see the legend, ZZ, Zidane gone like that. This could be the end of his smart football. Maybe one day we will see the headlines reading: Zidane taking on the New Headcoach position of the Somali National team...(yeah?) But this is what I hope to see tomorrow.. the Ecuadorians winning and Germs facing England in the group 16... I didn't really expect much fro either Saudis, or the Africans from the North...
-
I'm always ALWAYS on the side of the underdog!!And often perform miracles when we are least expected...I hope hope hope to see the Germs and THE CLANSMEN squashed in the next leg of the tournement..WHAT AN UPSET THAT IS!!! But first think of this scenerio Ghana Vs USA (2-1) Checz Vs Italy (1-0) Everything is possible, Italy is far from clinching anything...And anyways...Most of these Italian managers and players have court dates for scandals and corruption (the Italaina way...)I think this world cup has saved them..but come a loss against checz in their next match, I think they will be playing their next game against the guys in cell block D...

I'm always intensely curious about the depth of honesty and sincerity in these so-called prestigious positions and qualifications bestowed upon certain people and races and religions from the thirld world countries. Prior to this person, the latest person who joined the ranks was Ayaan Hersi who secured a position on American Enterprise Institute, a think tank..I am always puzzled by what that says about the person who is receiving the honor and the paychecks and the intention of the institution who is giving away these honors and issuing the checks? Congrats to her...wishin her all the best in the future.

The Ivorians still do have a chance to prove us all wrong...and hopefully the urgency will come in play in their next game...France...The Hagi is getting older and resting his bones in the field, and the rest of the team...NO CHEMISTRY at all...NO CONNECTION whatsoever, nada, a huge disappointment in their opening act..They surely need a young zidane...in Midfeild... Unlike these African boys who traveled so long to be part of this world cup though, the French can always hop on the next train and be home in a jive...No lay over or transit hours to TOGO..I honestly think the further you travlled for this, the more the urgency should be...

I am searching for my Ecuador bumper sticker; These guys are out there to have fun...unlike other teams who are trying to prove that they are the best, better than everyone else and deserve to win... Regardless of weather we advance or not...I'll keep searchin for a sticker that captures the spirit of such amazing defense team... The upset for this Fiva World Cup is in the making guys...German, the Germs will be beaten at home by no one other than Ecuador...counting the days till JUNE 20th...see u there..
-
My prediction is that the real upset of 2006 world cup will come from German Vs.Ecuador... Watch out...as the the weakness of the "Germs" is exposed by boys who have no mercy for the arrogant...Best of wishes to Ecuador..

Whatever replaced that good old physical activity which in my days was used to be called S. P. O. R. T. S...? Soccer tournaments have been all we've lived for when I was a youngster and still am...whatever happened to that notion!!! Of encouraging kids to go out and play, and play and play more with their pals and neighbors and participate in tournaments. Think of a scenario where a kid in school is being asked what he's done over the weekend? The kid replies I was watching Sponge Bob shoot flames out of his mouth all day long Saturday and on Sunday, I switched to Sponge Bob II where Spongy was shooting bigger flames out of his mouth this time... And then think in another scenario in your head where a kid is being asked the same question and this kid proudly replies that he was playing the finals for the Flying Eagles and they won The Ahmed Gurey Soccer Tournament yesterday three goals to one against the feared and fierce Ciyaal Calinley…yea..tell me honestly whose self-esteem is better? Superior here? The spongy boy or the Flying eagle kid who’s displaying his trophy around the school…? Frankly...I don't think a fatty little coach potato kid has any chance to stand...against a flying eagle who just won Ahmed Gurey's price of soccer yesterday against the revered Calinyal kids…while the Sponge Bob kid was getting fatter on his buttocks and memorizing sponge bobs famous line “give me…g’ve me..gime thatâ€... My point being that I think sports can do wonders for these kids specially in cities and places like Minneapolis or Seattle or London or Gothenburg where the number of Somali kids can easily exceed thousands...kids build a good social life in that way and they get involved in doing something constructive and positive…Provided mentors and coaches like Ngone of course, who I am sure will volunteer his time to coach the kids, I think we can give other alternatives to kids other than torture in their living rooms…

i don't get it...the inventors of this medium, the holywood spinners, the law-makers on the hill and the doctors all together are ganging up on TeleVision...recomanding restrictions and parental guidance. In good faith, they say they are concerned, worried to death about the influence this device is having over their kids...the filthy and the junk it's spreading all over...And here we are preaching and recommending and encouraging the xposure of tv, too much tv, lots of tv for our youngsters and kids...No, I don't get it. It's been two years since I had one at home and four years since I had cable at all... I think parenting is a huge responsibility that includes to be aware of every movement, almost every thing a child does at home and away. I used to think that my parents were never aware of whatever I did while I was away in the field but it always caught me by surprise, I always got shocked to the core...when they confronted me with the conducts and actions I was engaged in the field... how they were sure and correct, how they detected and read my patterns, how they knew what I was up to out there all day long. I am sure they employed everything in their capacity to track me down including phone tappin and wireless surviallance. There is no specific formula to follow when you are parenting i guess. But I am so positively sure that what works for one does not necesserily mean to work wonders for another. TV could be for the brave parents and smart kids like my buddy here who at the age of four I am again sure could tell the diference between a womans breast and her elbows...not for me or for my kids. We are not that smart...

I like his novel "secrets"...Touches on taboo subjects while reflecting on impending collapse of Somalia. YoyO MA: I am always interested when the word taboo is employed in any sort of discusion...taboo why? Ayan Hersi says and uses the same word when she was explaining and sellin her soul to the media and to people who could easily see throu her schemes...So now If you don't mind brother what sort of Taboo subjects does this Somali author touches on in SECRETS?

Time graduates and undergrads take an active role within the community. Atleast that is worth mentioning . Great point..I second that...One may ask himself then what is the goal of educating ourselves if we can't get our 16yrs olds off of the streets into their homes, schools and community centers with after school programs like tutoring, mentorship, and counciling? it's about time PARAGON... And no matter how high the ladder we think we've risen, we will always remain, always be reflections of our community...of our 16yrs olds. thanks for mentioning that point.
