OG-Girl, you said, Salafi, brother, I'm done with Nur. I'll never waste my time with him.He picks and chooses what he wants. I can do the same but I'm better than that.My intention is not to wrong people unlike him. OG do u believe in Absolute Truth? if so, what would it signify if he picks and chooses what he likes? A perfect Faith should refute all false alligations with precision. Ngonge, Rather the believe of the sunni scholars is that the shia scholars are all disbelievers, and that the shias(general public) have fallen into disbelieve, we refrain from callin them kufar, because they have fallen into disbelieve due to ingorance. The Islaamic ruling regarding (Ayatollah) Khomeini Question: What is the Islaamic ruling regarding (Ayatollah) Khomeini? Response: Khomeini has a book in which he mentions the excellence of the Imaams (Hassan and Hussein et al) of the family of the Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) over and above the Prophets and the Messengers (`alayhim as-salaam); (So) based upon this (statement of his) he is not a Muslim. As-salamu alaykum wa rhamatullahi wa baarakatu sakina, im disapointed that you feel your thoughts and views are subjugated here, I was seriously looking forward to an engaging and stimulating discusion, however dissipation or fruitless activities tend to get the best of us. Be that as it may, ever since your membership here at Sol you took the liberaty of protraying the NOble Mohamd AbdulWaaahb as one who is astray and leads others astray. Ofcourse warning against those who transmit and propagate deviant beliefs is a noble feature of a dacii as long as they exercise it within the parameters of the quran and sunanh. THe Shaykh is a hero to many of us, a legend imprinted in our hearts, and his describtion of Allah's attributes are inimitable. our prophet (salalahu alayhi wa salam) said" addeenan- naseexa"(religion is (sincere) advice)we are not here to score points, its an issue of love for our brothers what we love for ourselves. We are brothers and sisters, and when our brothers err, Allah tabarakahu wa ta'ala says" wa la tujaadiluu...ila bilati hiya axsan." AND LIKEWISE "Wa cibaadur-rahman-niladina yamshuuna calal-Ardhi hawnan wa idha khaathabahuml-khaahaluna qalas-salam" [the slaves of ar-rahman are those who walk on the earth with humility and sedatness, and when the folish address them they say salam" Gentleness and sincerity are the keys to attainin Allah's pleasure, they go hand in hand it is incredibily vital we take the messenger of Allah as our example, When the mushrikeens displayed dreadful manners, such as placing the remains of the female camel who gave birth on him as he prayed he would turn to Allah and remain steadfast in callin to them in hansome fashion without reprisal. in the light of the above, i propose we start on a clean slate,Lets tackle the issue of Allah's attributes taugh by Mohammad Abdulwahhab and your understanding of Allah's attributes. I initiated a new thread, since i felt the other one digressed beyond control.

^^^ Yaakhi what is the meaning of this, Yacani if you think people are misguided, deviant, or simply wrong and that you have the upper hand, the Islamic thing to do is gently take the brother by the hand and tell him the appropriate understanding give him or her an alternative. Yaaakhi lets not turn islam into a game of “im better then u†then heroically giggling at their downfall. If I was an innovator, my aqeeda was deviant and I was persistent in my innovations, then you would have all the right to bash me as u see fit, but this is not the case. Im not a innovator, I didn’t invent anything and No I don’t have Bay’ah with King fahad or any rulers. I follow the law of the land I reside in that’s all.

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baarakatu Sahal Axsanallahu ilayk, Thanks for keeping your equanimity and not personalising things. Time as we know it is more precious then ever, we cant afford to play a trivial game of tug-a-war. Lets be straight and to the point inshallah. You have noticeably raised many questions, however I can’t help notice you’ve neglected to address the main and sole issue that flared this thread. Your position and manners when it comes to the corrupt rulers approved by Allah and his Nabi! ““You admitted that Al-saud are corrupt i.e unjust, so why do you incline to them?†bro i dont incline to any ruler, the sunnah is clear, Obey your muslim rulers, do not publicly vilify them, if you can advice them in private do so. Obedience and inclination are not interchangeable. -
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah Nomads; Indeed Satan has many ways he enters upon the Muslims. He enters these entrances to entice them and lead them astray. One of them is that if a Muslim is from the people of neglect (of his religion) and sins, he beautifies to him sins and desires so to keep him far away from obedience of Allah and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم). The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: ØÙÙَّت الجنَّة بالمكاره، ÙˆØÙÙَّت النار بالشهوات “Paradise has been surrounded by loathsome things and adversity, and Hell-fire is surrounded by desires and lust. [Al-Bukhari 6487 and Muslim 2822] And the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “إيَّاكم والغلوَّ ÙÙŠ الدّÙين؛ Ùإنَّما هلك Ù…ÙŽÙ† كان قبلكم بالغلوّ٠ÙÙŠ الدّÙين†“Beware of extremism in religion, for this is what destroyed the people before you.†And from tricks of Satan towards these extremists, is that he beautifies to them the following of desires and flawed understandings of the religion. He prevents them from referring to the people of knowledge so that they (the people of knowledge) will not guide and make them aware of that which is correct rather he sends them to those who speak from their desires. shaytan does this so that they will continue to be in a state of error and loss yet they will believe they are in a state of guidance(islam). One thing I advise myself, and then you all, is to not grow rapt with personalities or speakers, since this will ultimately lead a person to love someone to the degree that they can not perceiving any of that person’s flaws and misleading rhetoric. Shaytain, deploys numerous tactic to lead others astray. Contemplate over this, Imagine the Munafiqeen(Hypocrites) who study Islam simply to mislead the Muslim from the straight path. They are elegant and soft in speech. Allaah (Subahana Wa Ta’ala) said: “And of mankind there is he whose speech may please you (O Muhammad), in this worldly life, and he calls Allaah to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most quarrelsome of the opponents.†(Al-Baqarah 2:204) We are in a time where the ignorant ones are giving verdicts in matters they posses no knowledge thereof, Some revert to Islam today, and give fatwa’s tomorrow, Some have been muslim 4life and plot(munafiq) yet people are adopting these ‘ignorant ones’ as scholars. When acquiring knowledge we have to be extremely prudent where and who we take it from since taking knowledge from the untrustworthy, unreliable and unqualified sources has led many a people to confusion and eventual straying from the straight path and slipping of the Ummah. taking knowledge from someone is something that could be a matter of heaven or hell. Ibn Mas’ud (radiyallaahu anhu) said: "There will not come upon you a time, except that it is more evil than the time before it. I do not mean a leader better than another leader, nor a year better than another year. But your 'Ulemah and fuqahaa (i.e. your Scholars) will disappear, and you will not find anyone to succeed them. Then there will come a people who will give verdicts according to their opinion." (Ibn Hajr related it in Fathul-Baaree). And in another wording: "It is not due to abundance of rain, nor due to its scarcity. Rather it is due to the disappearance of the Scholars. Then there will come a people who will give verdicts on matters based upon mere opinion; and thus they will destroy Islaam." (Ibn Hajr related it in Fathul-Baaree) We live in a time where the Juhala, the ignorant speak on behave of Allah with mere opinions, and those who warn others from their wickedness are criticized under the banner of “Maintaining Islamic UNITY†the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: من ÙŠÙرÙد الله به خيراً ÙŠÙقّÙهه ÙÙŠ الدّÙين “Whomever Allah wants good for, he gives him a good understanding of the religion†And this text explicitly points out that the sign of Allah wanting good for the servants is his giving him a sound understanding of the religion. And we understand from the Hadith that whomever Allah does not want good for, he does not achieve a sound understanding of the religion. Rather, he is afflicted with misunderstanding of the religion. And from the flawed understandings of the religion is what happened to the Khawaarij that revolted and fought against Ali (May Allah be pleased with him). And the other extreme of the Post, The Shia who put Ali above All the Prophets save Muhammad(الله عليه وسلم صلى)! Indeed they understood the texts of the Shar’iah in a way that was incorrect and contrary to the understanding of the Sahaabah (May Allah be pleased with them).

As-salamu alaykum Nomads, Warning against the deviant and straying people is an obligatory matter. In fact, if warning against the person who dupes the Muslims in matters of trade is mandatory, then it is more so to warn against the person who machinates and perverts the Religion and belies Allah and the Messenger. Allah, ta^ala, said in Surat Al-^Imran, Ayah 104: which means: [Let there be among you a nation that invite to the good, command the lawful, and forbid the unlawful.] Abu CAliyy ad-Daqqaq said: "The one who withholds the truth is a mute devil." I have been frequenting Sol for a year now, and I have come across all type of people, those who are sincere and only seek the face of allah, those who when they err they admit their mistakes. Most of us are born as muslims but we do not know anything about islam. Its basic pillars and its foundation, sometimes our love for the deen is blinded by ignorance, so when we feel threated and our religion and our mentors attacked we do not know how to cope with as Allah and his messenger legislated. We wish to act and seek retribution, and because of our lack of knowelge we act our of ignorance. Islam is complete and we are ordered to convey the messenger to others. However there are numerous branches of Islamic knowledge. One branch where most of the People here are don’t seem to understand is, the science of warning and dispelling Innovations and its people. There is the science of Hadith, Ilmul Tafsir, Fiq, and equally there is The science of Jarh’wa ta’deel( the science of disparaging and praising characters). It is from the creed of Ahlul Sunnah wa jamaca to dispelling innovation and warning against the innovations. This is why the scholars wrote/write volumes upon volumes about warning and disparaging Ahlul Bidca. Innovation and their people are calling sincere and unaware muslims to the fire, they are push people away from the pure sunnah, hence the scholars spend lots of time in admonition the people of innovation. Why? so that you do not fall into their accursed innovations. We recently saw Aminah Waadud from America lead Prayer, and I trust we all know Irshad Imanji, who authored the bookâ€the trouble with islamâ€, some of the people here took great pains in refuting them, but what about others who subtly instil new practices into islam? Are they less misguidance then Irshad and Aminah? How do we decised who is misguided and who is not? As muslims we all agree that Bidca is evil and it has serious consequences and we should all strive to adhere to the kitab and sunnah, not personalities. Thusly, for the past year I warned and educated the people on Sol about certain individuals and their innovations, not from my own whims but with kitab and Sunnah and the fatwas of Scholars. Aminah it is not ethical of you to portray me in a negative light, I never ever once spoke ill of Indivuduals without establishing the Hujja upon them(ie proof). I simple copied and pasted the Grand scholars’ disparagements, this is known as dalil. It would have been better for you in the sight of Allah to speak the truth. You and others redundantly use this phrase;†Let the scholars who are qualified to speak ill of others†Allahu musta’an sister , For month and month I have been pasting and coping the words and material of the Ulama(scholars) For safar&Salma, it was Shaykh Albani, For Mr Qutb it was Albani& Muhsin Al’abad,Muqbil and others scholars, for Bin laden it was Shaykh Bin Baaz, ect.. (all of them experts in their field) these scholars are infact qualified and doing their job very well, they disparaged these individuals upon knowledge because its their duty to aid the sunnah and they spoke ill of them only for the sake of Allah, seeking their rewards from him. It is their duty to preserve the sunnah. So if you wish to tell the people anything about me, I advice you to be fair, and say salafi as provided his proof for his position concerning these people from Qualified scholars who are known for their Ilm. We may not agree with them, but he is not blameworthy since it is the duty of all muslims to circulate the works of the scholars. Viking, Jazakallahu khair for the hadith, but I think that was besides the point,re-read it inshallah,(his aqeeda and his manhaj) wheter he is upon sufism or not. that is the focus of the article.

what is salafiyyah? what do salafees believe and call to?
Salafi_Online replied to bint abee saeed's topic in General
Nomads islam has a distinct code of conduct. Mohammad(salallahu alayhi wa salam) is the best example, and as such we take him as our example in all affairs, whether its intimately related to the dunyah(world) or directly related to the Akhirah. The muslim in genral, the ignorant, those who are devoit of Islamic knowledge and the people of knowledge all agree that the religion of islam is complete which requires only submission. Life, for a true Mu’meen is save trials and tribulations. But Allah did not leave us in darkness. We are obliged to take The Kitab and Sunnah as our guide in all our affairs. The salafi manhaj meticulously fashions its Fiq(religious rulings), upon the kitab and sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf. Allah does not like corruption, nor those spread corruption on earth. I cant speak for everything else but in my years of studying the Arabic language, and the religion of islam, understood by Ahlul sunnah waljamaca, we are required to abhor all forms of corruption for the sake of Allah. No none in his right, who sincerely hopes for the day when all shall parish save his face(ie Allah) would love those who are criminals, whether rulers or other then them. since its in direct conflict with the essence of islam(ie Peace). Where we(ie salafies) part with other groups and parties is the "how", how should we deal with these corrupt people? Some advocate for rebellion, others taken different approach. We base our position on Athentic hadith & the Book of Allah,we let he text be our guide, which essentially instructs us to change ourself before Allah can chance our conditions, and this is done through tarbiyah was tafsiyah... So how is that the people reprehend us for implementing and adhering to commandments of Allah and the Sunnah of his Nabi. When will the wild emotional spree on SOL cease? HOw come they don’t they take it back to the Kitab and sunnah when they disgree? Allah Jala wa ‘ala said, “Oh you who believe Obey Allah and Obey his messenger, and those who have authorities over you, and if you differ on anything then return it to Allah(quran) and his messenger(Sunnah), So sincere nomads and all those who disparage the da’wah, if your disparagement is for the sake of Allah, your efforts, your da’wah is feesabililah, then return it to Allah and his messenger. Cease from this meaningless rethoric, this finger pointing, character assassinations. I realize it is the Somali disposition to rave and rant whenever we disgree with others but if our position with the rulers is unsatisfactory and it pleases you not , then give us an alternative based upon the kitab and sunnah. No more insults and wild accusations, we are muslims inshallah and as such, we should always strive on calling the people to guidance, if im wrong then correct me with kitab and sunnah not idle chatter. Sahal,Sakina,Viking You guys are at forefront in voicing your displease,Khair... Then return it to Allah and his messenger, what should be our position, as muslims collectively when dealing with the corrupt rulers According to Allah And his messenger! Miss_lander may Allah reward you with good, Hikma emanates from you, but unfortunately its all in vain when it comes to the Somalia-onlineeer. -

Viking, bro i cant wait till the day you meet the nabi and you tell him the hadith below where the rule is derived from is retarded: The Prophet said: ‘‘The person must obey his ruler in whatever he loves, and in whatever he hates, in ease and in hardship, in willingness and un-willingness; except if he is commanded to disobey Allaah. So if he is commanded to disobey Allaah, then he should not listen, nor should he obey.’’ Related by al-Bukhaaree (4/203) Bro Allah said when you differ on anything, then return it to Allah and his messenger(ie Sunnah) with all due respect bro, if you dont agree then return it to Allah and his messenger. -
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi I free myself from your strnage and ill-concieved words Bilan. I personally did not disrespect the man in anyway shape or form. I represent the imformation as it happend. Everything that i posted has taken place without any exaggerations or fabrications. I took the same cautious route as that of our Sister Rahima . The sister asked a question and this is a forum for discusion, hence i tried to be as objective as possible by provide her with an sufficeint and concise answer based upon actual occurences. Furthermore, it is sheer idioticy to attribute Yusef Estes words to me. If you dont agree with it, do yourself a favor and email him. but to rant and rave about how I had something to do with it is ludicrous. Viking akhee, i read the article, and pardon me for my ignorance,i honestly dont understand what you mean. Here is what i got out of it, and please feel free to correct me. sincerity is from noblest pillar of islam. [yusef]Zaytunna Institute in California and watched as Shaikh Muhammad Yaqubi from Syria was conducting a class in Sufi Dhikr. For hours his students sat there on the floor rocking back and forth saying only: "Allah. Allah. Allah." Over and over again. One of the complaints from a student was that a Shaikh at Zaytunna Institute was forcing them to do hundreds of different Dhikrs everyday. So much so, that they were not able to complete their daily chores, but if they tried to stop a shaytan would start beating them. & [yusef Estes] I recall one instance when I offered him some scented oil and he pulled away and then said he needed to smell it first. After smelling it, he began to tell those gathering around that actually from the Sunnah he was able to understand that smells provided cures for diseases Bro do u know of any hadith that says smells can cure deasease(so please share), plus from what i understand, that not the point Yusef Estes is trying to get acrross, he is saying Hamza is tried to protray himself as a scholar, and he is going to extreme measures. Also the sister asked if he was/ss a sufi, he may not call himself one, but he sure does act like one.
-
As-salamu alaykum As it is from the muslim character to be objective and just at all times, I must say Our Brother Hamza Yusef is an opportunist, he says and acts according to what suits his needs a that particular moment. He use to come to a masjid near me and my friends directly asked him if he was a sufi and without a doubt he affirmed it. But at other times especially if he knows the people abhor Sufism he would decline it. Furthermore it is one thing to deny a label but to act according to its methodology is another. If you’re not a sufi then why do u act like one???Brother Yusef Estes respected speaker did a great job in revealing Hamza. [Yusef Estes]: Recently it has escalated to the extent that he is misquoting the Quran, denying certain verses, presenting wrong hadeeth and in general showing Islam in the wrong light. And to make matters worse, he is doing it on prime time television. Due to his fame and access to the media, this now presents a great problem for all of us. http://www.allaahuakbar.net/individual_callers/hamza_yusuf/hamza_yusuf_where_did_he_go_wrong.htm As For the Issue of tawassuf, then it is a form of shirk when you seek assistance from the dead. Disclaimer: the following words are not my. By Brother Muhajid: Okay everyone, last night Agent Hanson (aka Hamza Yusuf) gave a lecture for a fundraiser for one of the local Islamic schools in Mass. (http://theislamicacademy.com/events.htm) Two brothers (who are among my best friends) and myself attended this "lecture" (we got in for free so we decided to go) with the intention of trying to confront Agent Hanson. One of the brothers (who is very knowledgable) was able to confront Agent Hanson shortly before the lecture. The first thing he asked him was why he supported Bush again Afghanistan. Agent Hanson was totally shocked that he was being confronted about this. He made some excuse that he told Bush not to do it (which may be true, Allaahu'alim). Anyways he then asked Agent Hanson why he was clapping his hands at Bush's speech (a video seen by many). And I kid you not, Agent Hanson denied he ever clapped, but said he was fixing his tie (Wallahi, that is what he said, I and several others witnessed this event).

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah The noble Shaykh and Doctor, Saleh As-Saleh has recently constructed his own website. All the Topics are all audio based, and they conver a variety of subjects. highly recommended: www.understand-islam.net -
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A prominent Washington-area Muslim cleric was convicted Tuesday of urging his followers, days after the attacks of September 11, 2001, to go to Afghanistan and help the Taliban fight U.S. military forces. Ali al-Timimi, 41, was convicted on all 10 counts of an indictment brought in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Virginia. U.S. Attorney Paul McNulty called the verdict a victory in the war on terrorism. In a written statement, he called al-Timimi "a kingpin of hate against America." "He not only wanted Americans to die, he recruited others to his cause at a time when our country was mourning the loss of more than 3,000 people who were murdered in a heinous act of terrorism," McNulty said. Al-Timimi's lawyer, Edward MacMahon, said he will appeal. "We're obviously disappointed in the verdict. We'll continue to fight," he said. "They basically tried the guy for 9/11. He had nothing to do with that." The jury had deliberated for a week after a trial that centered on al-Timimi's conversations at a meeting with young Muslim men on September 16, 2001. Three of the followers traveled to Pakistan and received military training but never went into Afghanistan. Some of al-Timimi's followers were charged separately and convicted earlier as members of a "Virginia jihad" organization. Government prosecutors said al-Timimi had urged the men to defend the Taliban regime as part of a global war against the United States and the West. Defense attorneys acknowledged al-Timimi had spoken out against the U.S. government and expressed support for the September 11 attacks. They insisted, however, that he was free to express his controversial views and had only suggested the men leave the United States for their own protection The Islamic scholar remains free on $75,000 bail pending sentencing, which Judge Leonie Brinkema has scheduled for July 13. Possible sentences for the charges on which he was convicted range from 30 years to life in prison. MacMahon said that unless some of the counts are dismissed on appeal, al-Timimi is likely to end up with a life sentence.

The Signs b4 the Day of Judgement....... Plz read
Salafi_Online replied to LadyFatima's topic in General
As-Salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baarakatu, Abdullah Ibn Hudhafah As-Sahmi His meeting with the Byzantine emperior took place during the caliphate of Umar ibn alKhattab. It too is an astonishing story. In the nineteenth year after the Hijrah, Umar despatched an army to fight against the Byzantines. In it was Abdullah ibn Hudhafah. News of the Muslim force reached the Byzantine emperior. He had heard of their sincerity of faith, and their willingness to sacrifice their lives in the way of God and His Prophet. He gave orders to his men to bring to him any Muslim captive they might take alive. Inshallah that Abdullah ibn Hudhafah should fall captive to the Byzantines and he was brought before the Emperor. The Emperor looked at Abdullah for a long time. Suddenly he said, " I shall make a proposal to you." "What is it ?" asked Abdullah. " I suggest that you become a Christian. If you do this, you will be set free and I shall grant you a safe refuge." The prisoner's reaction was furious: " Death is preferable to me a thousand times to what you ask me to do. " "I see that you are a bold man. However, if you respond positively to what I propose to you, I will give you a share in my authority and swear you in as my aide." The prisoner, shackled in his chains, smiled and said, " By God, if you give me all that you possess and all that the Arabs have in exchange for giving up the religion of Muhammad, I shall not do so ." "Then I shall kill you." "Do what you want," answered Abdullah. The emperor then had him put on a cross and ordered his soldiers to throw spears at him, first near his hands and then near his feet, all the while telling him to accept Christianity or at least give up his religion. This he refused over and over again to do. The emperor then had him taken down from the wooden cross. He called for a great pot to be brought. This was filled with oil which was then heated under a fierce fire. He then had two other Muslim prisoners brought and had one of them thrown into the boiling oil. The prisoner's flesh sizzled and soon his bones could be seen. The emperor turned to Abdullah and invited him to Christianity. This was the most terrible test that Abdullah had had to face up till now. But he remained firm and the emperor gave up trying. He then ordered that Abdullah too be thrown into the pot. As he was being taken away he began to shed tears. The emperor thought that he had at last been broken and had him brought back to him. He once more suggested that Abdullah become a Christian but to his astonishment, Abdullah refused. " Damn you! Why did you weep then?" shouted the emperor . "I cried," said Abdullah, " because I said to myselfÑ 'You will now be thrown into this pot and your soul will depart'. What I really desired then was to have as many souls as the number of hairs on my body and to have all of them thrown into this pot for the sake of God ." The tyrant then said, "Will you kiss my head? I will then set you free?" "And all the Muslim prisoners also?" asked Abdullah. This the emperor agreed to do and Abdullah said to himself, "One of the enemies of God! I shall kiss his head and he shall set me and all other Muslim prisoners free. There can be no blame on me for doing this." He then went up to the emperor and kissed his forehead. All the Muslim prisoners were released and handed over to Abdullah. Abdullah ibn Hudhafah eventually came to Umar ibn alKhattab and told him what had happened. Umar was greatly pleased and when he looked at the prisoners he said, " Every Muslim has a duty to kiss the head of Abdullah ibn Khudhafah and I shall start ." Umar then got up and kissed the head of Abdullah ibn Hudhafah. -
don't you guys think it's a little farfetched to say you will burn in hell just for shaking a guy's hand? When it comes down to it there are other things that are more serious. Juba, Please consider your words and weight them against the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah!

As-Salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baarakatu The Shaytaan has misled most people by beautifying for them the performance of certain voluntary acts of worship such as voluntary prayers and voluntary fasting while neglecting other obligatory acts of worship such as enjoining the good and eradicating the evil, to the extent that they do not even make the intention of performing them whenever they are able. Such people are considered by the scholars to be on the bottom of the scale of religion: for the essence of our religion is to perform what Allaah ordered us to do. The one who does not perform the obligations is actually worse than the one who performs sins. Anyone having knowledge about the revelation of Allaah, the guidance of the Prophet (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) and the life of the Companions would conclude that those who are pointed at today as the most pious people are in fact the least pious. Indeed, what kind of piety is there in a person who witnesses Allaah’s sanctities being violated, His religion abandoned, the Sunnah of His Messenger shunned, and yet remains still with a cold heart and a shut mouth? Such a person is like a dumb Shaytaan! In the same way the one who speaks falsehood is a speaking Shaytaan. Is not the misfortune of Islaam due only to those who whenever their life and food are secure, would not care about what happens to the religion? The best among them would offer a sorry face. But if they were challenged in one of the things their heart is attached to such as their money, they would spare no effort to get it back. These people, besides deserving the Anger of Allaah, are afflicted with the greatest calamity without even knowing it: They have a dead heart. Indeed the more alive a person’s heart is, the stronger its anger for the sake of Allaah and the more complete its support to Islaam and the Muslims. IbnulQayyim[i‘laamul-Muwaqi‘een (2/176)] Second point of benefit: It is necessary to know that performing sins is detrimental and harmful to the servant. The harm that sins cause to the heart is comparable to the differing levels of harm that various types of poison cause to the body. Indeed is there a single evil that occurs in the world or will occur in the Hereafter (i.e. entering Hell) except that its cause is sin? What caused our parents to be ejected from Paradise – the land of delight, felicity and joy, to the land of pain, misery and affliction? What caused Iblees to be ejected from enjoying the company of the Angels to being debased and cursed? What caused his outward and inward form to be disfigured such that he took on the most vile of features and his inner features even worse? What caused him to become distant (from Allaah) after being close, being under the Mercy (of Allaah) to being under His curse, from being beautiful to being ugly, from being in Paradise to being in the blazing Fire, from being a believer to being a disbeliever, from being the friend of Allaah to being His greatest enemy, from being a person devoted to the glorification of his Lord to being a person of kufr, shirk, lies and shameful deeds, from wearing the raiment of faith to wearing the raiment of disbelief, sin and disobedience such that he became completely worthless and insignificant in the Sight of Allaah? O Allaah we seek refuge with You from opposing Your Command and taking on board Your Prohibition! What caused the inhabitants of the earth to be drowned to such an extent that the water rose above the highest peaks? What caused the wind to rage over the people of Aad until the men could be seen lying dead as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees? Their land, homes and animals were destroyed and they remain a lesson for all who follow until the Day of Judgement. What caused the people of Thamud to be destroyed by the awful cry such that their very hearts stopped beating and they were killed to the last of them? What was it that caused the city of Lut to be raised so high that the Angels could hear the whining of their dogs and then its being turned upside down and everything being destroyed? Then He followed this up by raining stones upon them from the sky and hence combined for them a punishment that had not been meted out to any before them, and their brothers shall get a similar punishment and that is not far off. What was it that caused the cloud to come upon the people of Shu`ayb and rain down upon them blazing fire? What was it that caused Pharaoh and his people to be drowned and their souls to be presented with Fire day and night, so the bodies were drowned and the souls burnt? What was it that caused Qaaroon, his family, wealth and property to be swallowed by the earth? What was it that caused the nations that succeeded Nuh to be destroyed?

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baarakatu THE SLAVE OF WEALTH Someone may ask: what is the proof that some people submit themselves to money and other such things? The proof is in the hadeeth of the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) where he said, “Wretched is the worshipper of the Dirham, wretched is the worshipper of the Deenaar...†[Related by al-Bukhaaree (no. 6435) and Ibn Maajah (no. 4132) from Aboo Hurayrah (radiyallaahu ’anhu). ] Someone may ask: how does this servitude to money manifest itself and what is it’s nature? It is when the heart becomes so in love with money, that it covers up and suppresses the love for Allaah to the degree that the persons attempts to attain that wealth by any means possible and is willing to disobey Allah at any cost – neither caring whether that wealth comes to him through lawful means; in obedience to Allaah and His Messenger (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam), or means that are unlawful and prohibited in the Religion. Understand by reflection, that every single heart in all created things has feelings, desires and inclinations. It has the desire to love, to gain good and beneficial things for itself; It can feel fear, terror, and also it can submit and surrender. When its feelings, desires and inclinations are all directed towards Allaah, then it is a heart that worships and serves Allaah alone. Therefore, it fears only Allaah, seeks and desires only Allaah’s mercy, it loves Allaah and whatever He loves; and it surrenders and submits itself only to Allaah. However, when these feelings desires and inclinations are directed to other than Allaah, then it is a heart which worships and serves that object which has captured and enslaved it. Its OK, if your intention(niyyah) is sincere, and have no absolute desire for the hand you'r shaking (opposite sex.) I don't have a Hadith or Ayah to support what I said, but i know there's one that says: Allah is watching our Qalbi, not our Face. As-salamu alaykum Sister, thats the irony here, if your niyah was sincere you would indefinitely leave off what angers Allah. Sincerity is only for the sake of Allah not a job. In Addition one can not say its OK if you do not have proof! what is haram and what is halal is clear is just a matter of saying; "We hear and we obey" You can not make something Halal or haram based on opinion! The one with the Purest intention and most chaste of all never touched a non-mahram women. Note: From the several ahaadeeth clearly prohibiting shaking hands between men and women not related to each other (i.e. not mahaarim) are: The Prophet (saws) said: “ That a man get struck with an iron needle in his head is better for him than that he touches a woman that is not permissible for him (to touch ).†[Reported by At-Tabaraanee, Al-Bayhaqee and others and Imaam Al-Albaanee authenticated it in Silsilat As-Saheehah (1/447-448)] And the Prophet (saws) said: “Indeed, I do not touch the hands of women.†[At-Tabaraanee in Al-Mu’jam-ul-Kabeer (24/342) and authenticated in Saheeh Al-Jaami’ (no. 8054)] And ‘Aa’ishah (raa) said about the Prophet: “ I swear by Allaah! The hand of a woman never touched the hand of Allaah’s Messenger – rather he would take the oath of allegiance from the women verbally .†[saheeh Muslim (3/1489)]

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu Sis FF; I completely understand the business aspect of this, however nothing restrains us from notifying the employer that “WE†do not shake hands. The “Fear†of losing a Job opportunity is not sound, since provision is ultimately from Allah. Your intention should be to obey Allah. Furthermore you run the risking of not actually getting the job after the interview and instead incurring a SIN that was intentional devised only to please a creature. Brother Sahal jazakallahu khair you for the Clarification, I believe few clarification from my part are in order, The Nabi(salalahu alayhi wa salam) “ whatever I forbid you from, stay away from it and whatever I command you with do as much as you can†All Sins will be weighted on the Meezan, minute or large. Small sins are gathered in large portion on a perpetual basis that form and penetrates the heart leaving small black dots to cause afflict to the heart. All sins should be shunned whether small or large since they all stem from disobedience. No one should advocate or makes excuses for sins and disobedience no matter how small they are. The best approach is to avoid ALL sins as far as one is able, as for that which you have fallen short on, seek Allah’s assistance and make tawaasul through ability of leaving small sins. like the three man who were trapped in the cave! The Nafs deceives itself by claiming this; †Since I don’t fast during the month of randam, and I know this is a great sin, I will get my self a girlfriend, until I manage to get myself to fast†This is the nafs deceiving itself, you should avoid everything specially the small sin since they are actually easy to avoid. The fact that the hadith in not in one of the 6 books has no relevance, there is a concencus on accepting the truth no matter where it is found, likewise accepting all authentic hadith irrespective of which book it was found in compliance with Ijmaca. My point here is; I have been following this debate last 10 yrs and I don't understand why some students make small things BIG and BIG things small. we're ordered thousands other MAIN things that we didn't follow, why this small issue become so BIG that make some MUSLIMS eating RIBA (which has plenty of evidences of its prohibtion) and HARAM (which also has plenty of evidences of its prohibtion) and telling many LIES ( which also has plenty of evidences of its prohibtion) enz.. and when it comes this minor issue which has no evidence neither from QURAN nor from BIG HADITH BOOKS, saying NO our religion doen't allow us to give hand to opposite sex. NO one made BIG things small, and small things big. We command the good and forbid the evil at all levels.

Salafi Just for clarification; Would you please give us the narration of the above HADITh i.e from which HADITH BOOK E,G BUKHARI, MUSLIM, THIRMIDI, ABU DAU'D ETC. ITS LEVEL OF AUTHENTICITY E,G SAHIH, HASSAN, DHAI'IF etc. and also if there are any similar evidences. As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baarakatu i revised the original post and inserted the proper narrration. "It was narrated that Ma’qil ibn Yassaar said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “ For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him .†Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, 486. Shaykh al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5045, that this hadeeth is saheeh." Like I said before though, does one's intention matter? FF i dont understand, how does one's intention come into play?

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baarakatu This is far from being a “Little†problem, it’s a serious issue that carries severe repercussions. (edit) In a narration by Ma’qil ibn Yassaar said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “ For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him .†Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, 486. Shaykh al-Albaani said in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5045, that this hadeeth is saheeh. Here is a beneficial approach that seems to functions, And Success lies with Allah. I can not vouch for very province or country for that matter, but the general line of orientation for job applications follows the following sequence: drop off your CV/resume, this can be carried out by fax/email or in person. To reduce personal contact, fax is essentially the most viable and suitable approach provided that it’s available. Once you receive a phone call or an e-mail by the employer expressing their interest this would be your opportunity to excel.if they left a message or e-mailed, give them a call and ask to speak to the person who conducts the interviews (if, you do not have their name). When the person gets on the phone, use the following lines Potential employee: Good morning/afternoon/night Employer : response to greeting Potential employee : My name is Ahmed Ahmed, I received a telephone call regarding the customer service position in your company and I would like to extend my gratitude for the opportunity. Employer: We have reviewed your CV/resume, are you available for an interview on the 21th of April at 9am Potential employee: Yes I am, thank you If I may, I’d like to forward a small request, Employer: Sure, what is it? Potential Employee: I thought I’d bring this to your attention ahead of time so to avoid an awkward situation or to catch you by surprise on the day of the interview. As muslim, my religion does not permit “handshakes†between opposite sex, and I would kindly ask that we do not shake hands, I realize this is our custom but religion is very important to me. Employer: Hmm interesting I did not know this, but ya, shouldn’t be a problem! Thank you for clearing this up, --------- This is usually where they rant about how “NO†muslim has mention this before and you’re the first one to express this.

As-Salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa baarakatu Stoic I’m not too familiar with the case, but from an Islamic perspective,If the brain is dysfunctional and can no longer regulate and sustain the body, then the soul has been removed, hence the person is considered DEAD. But these people live in darkness, how can they reach at the truth in their state?

Coping with Arguments Discord among Muslims on the Net

Viking, Nur's original statement: Because you are clearly tying knowledge to a set of Ulema alone, which in itself may cause suspicion of your motives at best . hence my reply: We live in a time of vast confusion, fitnah and newly firqa forge into the ummah as we speak. The creed of Muhammad(salalahu alayhi wa salam) was one. The creed and understanding of the Salaf is the purest form of islam, other then it, is innovation mixed with truth, innovation is misguidance, and all innovation is in the fire! The scholars who adhere to the kitab and sunnah upon the understanding of the salaf, deserve loyalty, just as the companions deserve loyalty and their opponents dont(i.e Khawarij) And anyone who opposes the understanding of the salaf, ie people of innovations deserve no attention! As for the “ resentment and strengthening hizbiyah †spiel, some people just refuse to accept that islam is complete and only requires submission, & we refuse to remain silent in warn the people about their destructive path. edit: yesterday i was talking to a gentlement, he said something quite astonishing, " there are no real scholars, scholars are only those whom Allah declared scholars" at the same token he called me a mushrik, because i refer to the hadith as a source of guidance! while to him hadith are noting but conjectures! wa hasbunallah wa ni3mal wakeel -

Brother Nur, Where in any of here statement does she tie knowledge to a specific scholars, she said†" we should connect to the people of knowledge to the ulama in the land of the muslim, we do not have any ulama in this country ." This being the case, the Ullama are found in many parts of the muslim world, from Pakistan, Somalia, Xijaz, Egypt, Syria…etc I do not know of any CAlim who is deeply rooted in the islamic sciences and resides in the land of the non-muslims. Certainly, there are students of ilm, students of major Shuyukh scattered around the world, but it has no reached us that they contain the necessary credentials to earn the title “Alim†, similar to a bachelors degree /masters would not earn someone the title of “Doctor†Ikhtilaaf is a Sunnah ( nature) in mankind, it will contiune to exisit forever, but what is wrong is Tafarruq ( partying ways) or Xizbiyyah, which means loyalty to a specific Sheikh or Alim and congregating around one platform creating ( Us versus Them) in the Muslim ummah. Whilst this is true, xizbiyaah it is generically frowned up, and thriving to accept the truth wherever its found insofar it contains the right element of substantiation is what conforms with Islam, loyalty to a specific manhaj is not only encouraged, but it is the ONLY acceptable means to a successful life here and on the day of interrogation! To the best of my knowledge, and I stand corrected, there are no manifesting proof in kitab wa sunnah and from the a’imaa of the salaf, where they advocated multiple maanaajih(multiple understandings of the kitab & sunnah.) the type of Xizbiyah I speak off is wala’a(love) to the manhaj of the alhul Sunnah waljamaca and baaraa(disloyalty) to the conflicting methodologies. In this regard, the theme of “ us verse them†is Inevitable. That is true sister, but in our time and age, it is more convient to seek it in the internet, how many people do you know who can get admission to Madinah University or sit at the Halaqa of the Kibaar al Ulema at Deira Masjid in Riyad? For that reason, its equally wajib on Ulema to disseminate knowledge and use all available means to reach those who are seeking knowledge, after all, the Zakat of the knowledge is to share with as many people as possible While the people in general have swayed from the pursue of Islamic knoweldge in favour of knowledge restricted to this world(secular education), the Scholars have taking great pains in disseminating knowledge to the Ummah, which I’m sure your quite well aware off; their tapes, books, cd’s, and in various languages are available through many channels, whether its the bookstore, internet, chat programs or live tele-link lectures! in spite of this, the scholars can only do so much; this is why people like yourself are the companions of the Scholars, transporting their NUR where it could not reach. In the few months that I have been here, you have provided the audience of Somaliaonline with knowledge they could not normally access, and through your writing we have come familiar with certain scholars and their works. And truly Allah is most just, he leave not a stone un-turned but that darkness diminishes. There are others like yourself who devote their time and efforts without seeking rewards, connecting and engineering a link between the people and the scholars, whether this meanings translating their books/tapes, opening bookstores or offering internet sites. the 3 grand scholars of our times each have their own websites! And all venues do not take the form of debates. You GOT message? your duty is simply to deliver it, if need be explain it! Your statement reminds me of a saying: the salaf like imam malik said to the sons of harun ar rashid when harun called him to his house that "it use to be the student who came to the teachers, but now the teacher comes to the student?" Debates may contain knowledge, provided that the debaters are knowledgeable, but the trouble is that unadulterated knowledge is lost in the the minds of(at times repetitive) argument. When a debate is presented in public with lofty rhetoric, in a language enriched by a variety of artistic devices(ie verse, hadith, scholastic opinions), the audience are entrapped and confused by the mode of presentation. Debates do not filter deception, misinterpretation of text, false creed, rather it supplies a stage to flourish! Debating, arguing and disputing are innovations which throw doubts into the heart, even if the person reaches the truth and the Sunnah as you mentioned, Allah said" when you differ on matter return it to allah and his messenger" At-Tirmidhee reports a hasan hadeeth from Abu Umaamah, who said: "Allaah's Messenger (saws) said, " A people never went astray after being upon guidance except through disputation ." Then Allaah's Messenger (saws) recited this Ayah : " This they set forth to you, only by way of argument. Nay, but they are a contentious people ." (Soorah az-Zukhruf 43:58) -

Nur I trust you may have misconstrue her script, her thoughts are directed at the initial post; the “Coping with Arguments & Discord among Muslims on the Net†one! Of course, her statement contains a great deal of truth; debating and argumentative speech not only deter one from knowledge but it breeds confusion, animosity, splitting and ultimately becomes a waste of time. “ it means that if you firmly believe that the best source of knowledge to be from the Salafi ulema only, why not invite them to this forum so we can benefut from their knowledge? you dont have to shut up this forum simply because your Ulema dont have time to share with poor ignoran Somalionline Nomads seeking a glimpse of knowledge †This statement of yours is quite remarkable! Am I to imagine that the likes of Saleh Al Fawzan, Albani, , Bin baaz, rabee’, who clearly represent the “Salafi†scholars are crossed off your list? & the latter portion of your statement is merely sensationalizing and lacks insight.
