Waraa...Gibirta wadaadad waayo ka xishooda. Sayid...I heard variations of the same 'accent' stories. Afterwhile, they all sound the same, just the ethnicity of the individuals involved changed. -
Give me one good reason why should say hello?

Hyp or not, you can't stop what's making, hence one needs to evolve. They are stuck in stone age, only thing that changed is their soul became corrupted. P.S. I have no allegiance to any tribal elder. -

Stoic N Malika...Glad it didn't take over your mind. What puzzle me most about our people is not the hate as that's something we naturally used to, but it is lack of appreciatation for their own self interest. Surely after decades, one would atleast rethink the idea of blind loyalty to clan since it hasn't yielded anything tangible at individual or even the clan level. People in America don't necessarily care for each other, but they understand their interests are tied together, thus willing to work together for common interests. Their common interests outweigh their mutual distrust and hate. Most appreciate this simple understanding. LoooooooooooL@Geeljire Ibti...Right on the head, and from my perspective, I do believe people discount my experiences or pains. I found those who harm you don't grasp the extent of your pain or simply don't care. I learn to deal with it by moving on and let it go, but I realise sometimes it makes one less sympathetic to what 'others' are going through.Case in point, many people I personally know are not bothered by what's going in Xamar. This is solely out of the bitter experiences they had decade and half ago. The idea of using past injustices to turn blind eye to the current ones is troubling to say the least.

Surely most of us are affected by the civil and the anomisity that came with, and it is safe most Somali households are conducive to hate mongering. AfricaOwn...It is gotta be more than that. The Somali problem is multi-layered, and can't be explained by one thing. Ibti...Do you believe others downplay your own sufferings and your sincere beliefs about things or for matter your genuine opinions about issues of the pasts and current. Gheelle.T..I don't particularly talking about anyone, just general atmosphere of our people, I guess includes people on SOL including me.

G-G and Gheell.T..Let's not point fingers, solutions mates. AfricaOwn...I will bite. Where do you think their cuqdad stems from?. And please be specific. "They hate Somaliland" mantra is just very general. Nobody gets up one day, and decides to hate someone. Ibti...Good point, self recognition. I don't mean to put on the spot, but do you recognize some of those sypmtoms within you? Malika...Certainly, the civil has taken its toll on the Somalipsyche. How do you think it affected you as someone who grew up outside Somalia?

^Let's not get into that. Stay on topic please!

^That's good defination of the term. Symptoms: Anger Frustration Bias Cause: Pain (Real or Percieved) That's good start! So, how does one cure it, and how could you tell genuine oppisition to something from Cuqdad as some people could be passionately about their cause.
-
This word is being thrown around left to right like rice at Puerto Rican wedding. What are the symptoms of Cuqdad and how could one cure it. It was mostly confined to the politics section, it is seeping into the general section. Let's find cure before it takes over.

Oh God! would you divorce your wife if she lied to you...

France virgin case couple 'angry' A French Muslim couple have opposed a government decision to contest a court ruling annulling their marriage because the bride lied about being a virgin. Her lawyer has said she accepts the judgement of a court in Lille and simply wants to get on with her life. The court granted the man's request for an annulment after ruling he had been tricked into the marriage. It sparked an emotional debate and angered feminists who said it amounted to a fatwa against women's liberty. According to media reports, the husband, an engineer in his thirties, married the trainee nurse in the summer of 2006, having been assured by her that she had never previously had a boyfriend. Under the French civil code, a marriage can be annulled if a spouse has lied about an "essential quality" of the relationship. bbc -

^ Xiin Not repeat the same mantra, even you gotta the TFG as political entity is not viable patner. The entity it seems have to become about personalities which doesn't lend much credibility in the eyes, the world, and now even its handlers. It barely run its own operations let alone make deals with oppisition. Four years of intra-conflicts, and no substantive gains upto now, it is only legacy would be incompatency, and da-ba-dha-lif-nimo.

A&T..It doesn't matter what I know or what I don'y. What matters if people are willing to declare and air their grievances. I don't work on suppositions. I must know I'm actually apoligizing for the right accusations. Just to give an example, my family have been kicked out of Mogadisho solely on the basis of their Qabiil. As victim, I'm willing to state my grievances against those who did this injustices. We are not gonna get anywhere if everybody don't truly speak their mind and share their interests are. Little honesty will go along way. And kudos to Deputy, I think our problems are deeper Qabiil vs Qabiil.
-
A&T..You are contradicting and setting precedents at the same time. On the first issue about north, you may sound as the group you blame were Nazi Germany who subscribe to one ideology. There wasn't clear mandate to systemically murder or oppress anyone. The north's issue is with the entire south who sat idly while fellow citizens were massacred. If there is specific allegation against any group, the northerns can explicitly say so, and we will go from there. And the issue of Xamer who associate with just one group though it is the seat of the Somali government, I don't like new precedents sets in motion the idea somehow someone is entiltled to office cuz historical injustices . And isn't that what you are advocating to abolish anyway? The issue of the people of Bay/Bakool, why should the apologies and the acknowledgement of their sufferings be tied to what others do? I'm all for reconciling, and seeing a better Somalia, but I just don't see that happening if one group is made to repent while others just get rewarded and made to believe they are not responsible for their own actions. The *****-people are guilty, but everything that happen in Somalia is not just their doing. There needs to be a better solutions that changes the culture and outlook of Somalis, and builds cohesive nation based on justice and equity.
