Somalia planning minister Jamaal Hassan arrives in Sanaag
Che -Guevara replied to Saalax's topic in Politics
Let me see, a young minister went to back his ancestral region to asses the level of development there, so this is a cause for instability? Considering Hargeisa or Garowe have nothing to help this region, why should the people of region beholden to anyone? -
No Government without continuous ,local source of revenue will ever be free. Good speeches by PM Kheyr and Minister Beyle

Somalia planning minister Jamaal Hassan arrives in Sanaag

I think Puntland is winning over this community slowly. The new road that's being built will connect Bosaso to towns and villages in Eastern Sanaag, something that will increase trade and people movement. It is one of the few things Abdiwali did right. -

Kheyr visits Qeybdid -
Israel is the only beneficiary of this sorry saga. They have managed to get Saudi support for Jerusalem and threw the Palestinians under the bus. Yemen, failed Qatar blockade, failed, Containing Iran, failed Supporting ISIS in Syria and Iraq failed, Bullying other Arab countries including Tunisia, Jordan, failed. Trying to win Pakistan's support, failed. Pakistan's massive port in Gwadar is picking up. Even bullying Somalia looks to be failing. Anti-corruption drive is facade, Ina Salman bought almost billion worthy of properties. And even Trump chided Saudis for what they are doing in Yemen. Apparently, he was shown pictures of starving children. Iran has gained permanent foothold all way to the Mediterranean. Turks are building bases and ports in Somalia, Sudan, etc Even Emirates have a backup plan should Saudi misadventure, Ironically enough, UAE is Iran's second largest trading partner.

Something Is Brewing In Mogadishu: Abdi Qaybdiid's House Raided

Apparently, the raid was carried out by troops trained UAE. It looks like a setup; a way to dismantle troops that answers to UAE. NISA and the armed forces stated that they didn't order the raid. Farmaajo and Taabit "promised" an investigation. On side note, members of Abgaal clan seem to have sided with Government in regards to Abdishakur issue. Fiqi and Abdishakur were given warnings. -

Galeyr failed miserably and it seems his clan knows. -
I was in Xamar when Ab and HG went to war at the behest of their crazed leaders. The funny thing was, a couple of months before, if you said you are from D-Block. You would have been killed on the spot. But when USC start killing each other, saying you are from D-Block saved your life. They used to say waad soo daahdey soco. This brought up the question was the civil war. The conflict was merely about power hungry who realized the best option to gain power was wimped their clan into frenzy in order so they sit on the kursi. It soon became clear the war was never about lighting injustice p.s. I remember Magool inciting violence, first against D-Block and then against Ab clan.

According to the Minnesota based Jawar Mohamed, the Woyanes are recruiting young men and buying a grain for a potential war.
