  1. It doesn't matter what system of government we adopt as long as the constitution, legislations, rules and regulations are not adhered to and as long as there is no strong and independent judiciary.
  2. There's no point to a culture that's stagnant or lacks imagination. One must evolve or be condemned to irrelevance.
  3. A lot of speculations and conjectures there, Oodweyne. Videos don't lie. The man is preaching while swimming in corrupt culture of governance.
  4. So, from what we understand the new speaker is aligned with Kheyr and Farmajo. This, in theory, will make legislation move faster in the house.

  6. Observer, Oromo and Somali have 40 commonality so technically, galbeedi does
  7. Egypt is afraid that Turkey and Qatar’s presence in the Horn of Africa will ease the movement of terrorists in the region.
  8. I think you just described the White, Protestant, Anglo-Saxon man. There are not there yet but they are already developing victim mentality as America becomes majority-minority nation and power and resources are beginning to change hands. Of course, the first bad guys are the Jews, followed by the blacks who are taking the precious white women.
  9. It's safe to say the Middle East will be a playground for Iran, Israel and Uncle Sam. And Somalia will be okay since we are dealing with ciyaal cago weyn. The latest Emirates tantrum will pass.
  10. Kim will not give his nukes. He remembers what happened to other dictators.
  11. They are haven't subdued Xamar as Xamar had no control over the rest of the country. Right or wrong, Mogadishu is what matters and Emirates have no longer any solid presence. And contrary to what many say, all nations prefer Mogadishu to regional governments. What problem with the Federal Government is that it asks everyone to fall in line without offering any alternative. For instance, CCECC has presence in Puntland, they built Bosaso Airport and suppose to build Galkayo Airport, Garowe-Ely road, etc. The Federal Government could have approached the Chinese in trying to find more investments for Puntland, in particular, Bosaso port.
  12. On the plus side, Harun did good job. It usually would have taken months to find out about these shady deals.
  13. Dear Cadnaan, If USC leadership [I am not talking about the qabiil] had any common sense in 1991, we wouldn't be in this quagmire. Instead they dismantled the Somali State and wrecked everything. For Abdiweli Gas, it's very unfortunate situation but one the Federal Government is partly responsible. The lack of legislations regarding investment, terrorism, economic and political integration, completion of the constitution and the status of Mogadishu is hindering Somalia. And regarding these Arabs including Qatar, they could give rats @ss about Somalis.

  15. Itoobiya has extensive spy network in Ethiopia and Somalia. Within Ethiopia, apart from traditional security agencies, the party uses its members to spy on neighbors. Those who work with the government are rewarded, for instance, if a farmer wants fertilizers, the price is keeping an eye on his neighbors. Every neighborhood, subdivision and street have assigned residents who report any new movement, new residents, etc. In Somali territories, spies work as day laborers, university lecturers, businessmen and of course, there are the Somali collaborators.
