  7. Abdullahi Mohamed 'Farmajo', President of the Federal Republic of Somalia The Secretary-General held a phone call today with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed 'Farmajo', President of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The Secretary-General expressed his solidarity with Somalia in the face of increased Al-Shabab attacks, and the drought the country is facing. He also expressed his support for African Union Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), and his hope that Somalia would be able to ensure its own security as soon as possible. The Secretary-General and the President also discussed the electoral process in Somalia. The Secretary-General hoped there would be a swift conclusion for the electoral process and that any outstanding issues be addressed through dialogue.

  9. Galbeedi, There's too much money in Xamar for everyone to go back to Carta. HSM alone will lose millions, millions that Uhuru, IOG, and others cannot replenish continuously. The business community is not in the mood to lose their hundreds of millions either. It is usually them that finance clan militia. There are two types of Somali leaders, those who after money which includes most of the current Somali politicians, and those that love power for power's sake, the likes of Barre, Ceydiid, and C/Yusuf. Farmaajo is cut from the immediate group and Rooble is cut from the former hence it is unlikely they will agree on anything.
  10. They seem to think Farmajo owns Gedo. It shows a lack of respect for the residents.
