Caano Geel....I admit it is very broad range and will hardly yeild any information that's qualitatively useful and relevant today's pressing issues. Having said that, it is hard to assume common variable among such diverse group of people. And this is where narrowing who is terrorist gets little murky as potential recruits span Muslims from walks of life. And only other option is to eavesdrop on citizens which I believe the States do that already. Infact that piece of legistation giving the goverment the authority to listen people's conversation is about to expire, and most likely will be renewed. Anyway, in today's America patriotic suasion is the order of the day, and the neo cons abuse that to the fullest given the gullible nature of the Yanks.

There is obviously no chronigical order nor is there any common variable indicating all beardies would engage in terrorism. What's clear however is the dispersion of those that sympathise with "Islamist" views is across the board. Any Muslim regardless of their personal values have an affinity for the current sitaution creating havoc in the Muslim-so any random sample of the Muslim population should fit the profile. I give you this doesn't do much in allocating the resources to fight terrorism, but the decision in doing is purely political that's mired in personal biases. Xiin....Khayr is little melodramatic...that's all.

LoooooooL@NGONE. I don't know how a routine traffic stop all of sudden made big leap into indefinite incarceration at Camp X. All I'm saying is and this is just for the sake of argument, if the state of Somalia was attacked by a foriegn nation whose citizens live among us, then definately I would be profiling those that live among us. It stands within reason to assume that they are sympathetic to their country of origin. Of course, mistakes would made, and innocent people will get burned in the process, but that's an acceptable casualty.

If there is probable reason to warrant profiling a certian segment of society, then it is within reason to stop anyone fitting that profile. Nothing was done to Khayr that was illegal or morally reprehensible.

The only option for the west is to do surgical strike in order to neutralize Iran's nuclear facilities. A full blown war is just not feasible econimically and politically. America is strapped both for cash and men. Almost all the divisions of the US army and marines were one time or the other deployed to Iraq, and this includes the reserves. The goverment had resort to using naval and airforce personnels to fill in gaps. Unless the west want to strat World War III, the war against Iran is unlikely atleast for the near future.And so for Isreal, if the war with Hezbollah is anything to go, they will think twice before attacking another state.

Red....I don't think any so called leader truly care about the average Somali in the street. What goes in Somalia is pissing contest between egoistical men who is more interested in pillaging the country or imposing their will on battered population. I doubt the very much those in Asmara, Mogadisho, or elswhere on this world goes to bed thinking, Soomaaliya iyo umadayda maxaa udan ah. If they did wars won't be their first resort and the so called Muqaawama that Kashafa so proudly yabs wouldn't just be in Mogadisho. Nobody denies the courts brought some semblance of normalcy to the Mogadisho and large swath of the south, but all that was lost simply cuz they fail to understand not all Somalis shared their goals or agreed with their ideoligical stances. Rather try to build a consensus, these men marched young boys into useless just to be slaughtered. Responsible leaders think of the faith of their men and put the nation's need first.
