Wait, you want me to tell you why it isn't good for teenagers to marry? Well, hold it there for a minute. I'll get back at you, right after I explain to my neighbour that the sky is blue, and the Earth is in the Solar System.
  6. If you're using the term 'school' in the usual sense, am I right in supposing that you're asking whether it's al-right for 16/17/18 year olds to marry? That's a preposterous and thoughtless suggestion! Even if you're using the term 'school' in the America sense, I would still say it's pointless and counterproductive thing to do. I know many postgraduate students at my university, one of whom got engaged recently to another fellow student, and most of us raised eyebrows when we heard that. Here's a simple suggestion for those who view marriage as a thing of sanctity. Go through school and undergraduate studies, and possibly postgraduate studies too, manage to get hold of a good job; it's only then you should even think about marrying.

It is sad to see that you value and call her a women with "talent" when really she was a jahilla. All that talent amounts to Zero when Divine Law is trangressed. And people wonder what's wrong with Somalia, when people like you, deprived of common sense and devoid of logic, are Somalis. RaMpAgE;714867 wrote: Bravo. Anyway, I always thought of whether Sangub has actually read Shakespeare's play 'As You Like It': "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. At first the infant, Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms; And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel And shining morning face, creeping like snail Unwillingly to school. And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard, Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel, Seeking the bubble reputation Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice, In fair round belly with good capon lin'd, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon, With spectacles on nose and pouch on side; His youthful hose, well sav'd, a world too wide For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice, Turning again toward childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion; Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything." Does anyone remember of the corresponding monologue for Maadeeys? It's been such a long time!

So you would prefer a measly student who failed her admission test then made a fuzz about being rejected on racial/class grounds over a celebrated author like Nuruddin Farah? What a taste!
  23. Anyone who is surprised by this rejection is clearly not familiar with the Oxbridge admission system.
  24. Bravo! Well said! Couldn't possibly agree more!
