Christopher Hitchens, signs his book that denies the existence of God
Man Of Freedom replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in General
No believing person should ever sympathise with god-hating, morally corrupted and mentally retarded psycho. He was one of the worst atheist set foot on this earth, because he did not only denied the existence of God, but he cursed God and enriched himself through his defamation of God. In fact, he derived a great deal of satisfaction from cursing and lambasting the fundamental principles of Islam.I believe it is Allah's blessing that we have "death" because it is the great equalizer and it eradicates those who challenge Allah's might. -
Its an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth. They killed three of our beloved pirate brothers, it time for them to pay the price.

Al-hamdullilah, The greatest gift is being moslem. God created life and mandated death, and death is not the end of life, it is only the transition period of the life of this world, to the hereafter life. In Islam, life has a beginning, but it does not have an end.

Girls, what are some things that turn you off !!
Man Of Freedom replied to Crystal_Clear's topic in General
Chrystal Lear: Dear sister, Your turn off list is growing rapidly day-by-day. No wonder why you still remain single! If you want to settle down quick with decent Haji, it would be in your best interest to trim that list so as to expand your options. The world is never perfect and every haji has his imperfections. So good luck. -
My take on corruption and civilization is that at the end of the day, what goes around, comes around, and what rises also falls after a period of time. Allah created life and mandated death. Everything in the world, be it nature, or man made has limit and an expiration date. Despots around the world are acutely aware if death does not over take them, something beyond their power and imagination will bring their reign to swift and decisive end. Mubarak never thought that he would see the end of his rule, but it was just a matter of time. The revolution has started, but multi-million question is where does it end, and whose gonna stop it?.

Al Shabab Leadership crises and the prospect for peace in Somalia
Man Of Freedom replied to Somalina's topic in Politics
A - Al-Shabaab kills and maims people with its own weapons B - TFG uses mercenaries, foreign security agents, and AMISOM to kill and destroy innocent lives. A - is the most demonized group. it has no international legitimacy to kill at will and it is branded as terrorists. B - is accorded with the right and legitimacy to kill and maim innocent lives at will by the international community. Who do yo pick? -
Al shabaab oo su'aalo weydiinaya nin Reer baadiye video
Man Of Freedom replied to oba hiloowlow's topic in General
Masha allah. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter whether the interviewer is Al-shabaab or not. This man is living in a Moslem country. And he is in hid mid 40s. The five article of Islam and the six pillars of Imaan is the most basic and elementary knowledge every believing moslem should know. If you are at the age, and you live in a moslem country with a moslem society and you die like this...Subhann laah" only allah know what his fate would be. I think is man is very, very and very lucky to have encountered this man. Because know it is incumbent upon this interviewer to educate this man about his religion. At the end of the day, your Camel or your herds won't get you to paradise, it's your deeds, and without sound knowledge one can never earn good deeds. -
Puntland Politics Is it A Nasty Game? Or Just Tough Politics?
Man Of Freedom replied to Abdirazak_PTL's topic in Politics
Abdi.. Politics is the art of deception. Its the art of mastering lie, deception, treachery, insincerity, falsehood, hypocrisy, and double-dealing. It is the source of all evil. There is no such thing as good diplomacy. When we equate diplomacy with goodness is when combine falsehood with truth in a peaceful manner. Puntland leaders are learning the laws of modern politics. Once you enter the political environment of punt-land you bet your life and put yourself at the mercy of your opponent. -
Masha Allah, this is beautiful way of giving Da'awa. The path to paradise is right in front of us; may allah make it easy for us to see it. There are Dua'as that are every small in weight when uttering through our tongue, but its weight in allah's sight is immense.

Those who support Secular system -- before you advocate secularism you need to think hard about the concept you are advocating. Secularism means the total eradication of God's divine law from our way of life. Before you start preaching about secularism tell us what secularism has done for humanity other than the trail of destruction it has left almost every corner of the globe. The world is in diabolical state of affair because of secularism.

Puntland Deeply Concerned About Shabab Infested Somaliland
Man Of Freedom replied to Abdirazak_PTL's topic in Politics
I feel sorry for Al-shabaab, they are the scape goat for all political mishaps. Puntland leaders should carefully watch out their political stunts for it may hunt them back. That said I'm not here to praise Al-shabaab or its ideology in any shape or form. But, frankly speaking, I'm a realist and I have pragmatic approach to politics. In all seriousness, Al-shabaab is real and it is a formidable power that Somali's of all political persuasions need to reckon with. We cannot brush aside Al-shabaab's existence and it ability to strike at will. At some point local politicians will need to face the new reality that al-shabaab presents. Puntland needs to develop its own political framework and puntland made shabaab policy. Al-shabaab can not be destroyed, but it can be contained. AL-shabaab leaders are acutely aware about the potential perils of war with Puntland - they are wise enough to avoid another miscalculated military adventure . -
The chasm of the sex-ratio in our community is continuously widening. And there are no easy solutions. The numbers are staggering and unless our sisters make difficult choices they are doomed to single life. Realistically speaking, there is no creative formula for this type of problem. It is a unique problem that extends from individual source to social realm. It is the type of problems that germinates from dreadful personal decision before it morphs into monumental social problem. The amazing thing about this unique personal and social problem is that we have always had a viable remedy; but sadly, it is remedy that is scorned time and time again by many of our sisters. It is the practice of polygamy. Desperate moments require desperate measures, If we genuinely want to turn things around, we need to give a serious thought about adopting polygamy in our diaspora communities. The choice is stark and inescapable: you either choose to share, or live single life until you reach your expiration date. The choice is yours girls. Keep one thing in mind though, the choices and the decisions you make today will ultimately shape your future. Don't be a dreamer, be a realist, for it will do you good in the long term.

New Brazilian President Triples Number of Women In Cabinet
Man Of Freedom replied to Somalina's topic in General
I'm not anti-women, but the increasing trend of women reaching the highest levels of power and authority presages the impending D-Day that we have been forewarned by our beloved Prophet Mohamed (scw). -
Do we have a culture? is this a legitimate question and does it deserve an answer! Philosophically speaking, I think this is a loaded question, but it is also question that merits serious attention for some of us might be unfamiliar with exactly what culture is. Personally, I think the first task for all of us is to arrive at a consensus conceptualization of what culture is. how do we define culture in somali context. Is there a universal interpretation of culture? and what are the historical force that shape our modern somali culture? what do we attribute to culture? and how do we separate culture from our religious believes? we know for a fact that our so called somali culture consists some cultural practices that are inconsistent and incompatible with our religious mandates? Of course, without an afterthought, we are required to forsake cultural practices that are incompatible with our belief , for our belief is of a paramount importance to all faithful believers. That said, we are permitted to continue exercising the cultural practices that compliment our religious way of life. As a devout Moslem, culture is just another social dimension that evolves and changes with time. It is adopted and abandoned at will. Culture to me has a multidimensional feathers - some grow and some diminish overtime . But above all, My religion, and my unwavering faith and trust in Allah supersedes everything else that governs my way of life. Hence culture is of secondary importance to me.

A two-year-old picture of Barack Obama dressed in traditional Somali garb has sparked a new war of words between the Democratic presidential front-runner and rival Hillary Clinton, whose aides say they can’t confirm or deny whether her camp is the source of the photo. The photograph shows the Illinois senator outfitted as a Somali elder during his 2006 visit to northeastern Kenya, part of a five-country tour of Africa. It appeared at the top of Monday’s Drudge Report, and was said to have been provided by Clinton staffers over the weekend. Now both campaigns are suggesting that the other should feel some sort of shame over the flap. According to Obama aides, the Clinton campaign is sinking to “shameful fear-mongering.” Clinton’s campaign chief retorted that she can’t figure out why Obama would be “ashamed” of having the photo out in the public. While the source of the photo is unverified, Drudge claims it was sent to the site by a Clinton aide, who argued that had it been a costumed Clinton, it would have made the front pages. “Wouldn’t we be seeing this on the cover of every magazine if it were HRC,” shorthand for the candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton, wrote the unnamed Clinton campaign staffer, according to the Drudge Report. Expressing outrage, Obama’s campaign suggested the purpose of the photo release was to invoke reminders of persistent rumors that Obama is secretly Muslim, and by extension, anti-American. “On the very day that Senator Clinton is giving a speech about restoring respect for America in the world, her campaign has engaged in the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election,” Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said. “This is part of a disturbing pattern that led her county chairs to resign in Iowa, her campaign chairman to resign in New Hampshire, and it’s exactly the kind of divisive politics that turns away Americans of all parties and diminishes respect for America in the world,” Plouffe continued. A longtime member of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, Obama, who as a child lived for four years in Indonesia, has repeatedly denied that he is Muslim. Previous attacks have been decried by both candidates, and one Clinton campaign volunteer was asked to step down after forwarding an e-mail spreading the Muslim rumor. But seeing an opportunity to refute the Obama camp’s outrage, Clinton campaign Manager Maggie Williams turned the perceived prejudice on its head.”If Barack Obama’s campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely,” Clinton campaign manager Maggie Williams said in a statement. “This is nothing more than an obvious and transparent attempt to distract from the serious issues confronting our country today and to attempt to create the very divisions they claim to decry. We will not be distracted,” she said. Indeed, the New York senator, her husband, Bill Clinton, and other past presidents have all been photographed in traditional costume while visiting nations abroad.

The TFG must be under illusion if it believes that it has the capacity to extricate itself from the total chaos that simmers in Mogadishu streets. In 1993 a UN mandated International Peace Keeping mission which consisted of a well funded, well trained and well equipped soldiers were dragged on the streets of Mogadishu. This is just the beginning of a new era. The coming days will be surprising and sadly more shocking unless the TFG makes a systematic effort to face the grim reality. If military might was solution to insurgency, America would not have suffered embarrassingly in Iraq. Dialogue , Co-operation and Concession is key to peaceful solution.

C/lahi Yusuf points his hand at Geedi's tie and exclaims " oo may god, he is actually wearing a red tie" sharif hassan is like "oo waaw that is a real red tie", after all they supposed to engage real public politics that address issues of common concern. But instead, this is how they engage public politics... the question is when will we have leaders that are well qualified to lead our nation from chaos to stability and prosperity?.

I am flabbergasted that Mr. Jama Elmi is tenacious and zealous to defend his act of “Plagiarism†and “Copy Right†violation. There is no neutural ground for plagiarism and those who engage such disgraceful act deserve to be exposed and assailed in the most extreme form. The evidence that was provided by Mr. Dirie vulgarizes any effort or attempt to cover the shame and the embarrassment that the exposure caused. We Somali’s take a great deal of pride and derive an enormous amount of satisfaction from recognizing and appreciating the creative work and the intellectual insight of our fellow Somali’s. It is shame and dishonor to undermine the professional integrity of our educated intellectuals. It strikes as deep when we see our fellow Somali’s who are transacted in acts of subterfuge. I am sure this exposure has germinated emotional cataclysm for many people who were aspiring to emulate those who they thought were their perfect role models.

The work of the exposed author reveals a disturbing trend in the professional realm of our intellectual elites. It is colossal mistake and serious misjudgment of readers intellect. Mr. Dirie has done a plausible job for exposing this embarassing mistake. It is naive and prelious to assume Somali's as passive nomads who only know how to read without using their analytical capabilities to decipher the orinigality and the creativity that is involved with the pieces of articles they came accross.

Writing is a Noble Profession and Demanding Task, But No Shortcuts Whatsoever Ahmed M. Dirie, PhD It wasn’t painless to come forward and expose a fellow writer’s wrongdoings and I do not intend to slap on the wrist a Somali writer or to mess up the integrity of a Somali professional but it is more on tipping off the unsuspecting web managers and readers. I tried to put it right in private through a web administrator or an editor but it was unsuccessful. Therefore, I felt that it is an obligation to inform the readers, would-be writers, and at least to correct misuse of copyrighted information on the internet. The misuse of information and communication technologies (ICT) could be intentional or unintentional acts. But in this case, I strongly feel that the writer (who authored three articles at Allpuntland and one at Wardheernews) has deliberately misused copyrighted information from the internet and it seems that it is a failure on the part of the writer to understand that the same information could be accessed by others. The writer’s work lacks originality and professional integrity and he totally undermined the intellect, knowledge and skills of his audience and that of Somali Web managers and publishers. To me, there is no excuse whatsoever because the author of the said articles is an educated and a graduate degree holder and he must had been trained in acknowledging published and copyrighted materials. A writer could not lift a whole article(s) including titles and even subtitles and then present it as his/her piece of work. If a writer happens to lift a whole paragraph or sentence then he/she must put quotation marks on the borrowed sentence or paragraph and acknowledge the original source in the reference. In this case, the writer failed to do so and I think that he assumed that he could run away with it. The process of copying or lifting of a printed material and then presenting it to the public as your own work is a breach of copyright and it is called plagiarism and it is illegal. Unfortunately, this is not a material lifted from an out of print book or from a remote and obscure library. The articles are copied from the internet and you could Google it and locate them in seconds. For that reason, I opted to provide to you both the writer’s articles as well as the originals and you will be the judge in figuring out an act of plagiarism. Please take a close look at the following sample paragraphs and article links and you will notice the exact similarities or being copy cuts. You will also spot that few words such as Africa, continent, Congo or Sri Lanka is simply replaced with Somalia and country. A writer would say thanks to MS Word replace function which allows in replacing specified words in a whole document in seconds. Evidence I . In addition, the title of the article may sound harsh but it is just intended to catch your attention, though you may agree or disagree whether the title is the right one for this sort of expose. On top of that I would like to put across this simple and straight forward advice for those aspiring writers like me or some of you, there is no short cuts and no ready cheat sheets for writers especially in writing analytical and journalistic articles or writing in general, Period. I absolutely understand the burning desire for recognition and appreciation and writers are always striving to publish excellent pieces in order to be recognized by their peers and readers and bring out marketable material. However, shortcuts and shoddy activities could ruin writer’s professional standing and eventually would damage one’s integrity in the long run…I hope and pray not in this case. For those web sites run by Somalis, it is most likely that the writer is not the first and the only one engaged in such miscalculated risks but he happens to write about interesting issues. And the interesting nature of his articles led me to do more research on the topics and I accidentally stumbled over the original articles. Therefore, I would like to express “my sincere apology†to my fellow Somali and anyone affected by this piece of expose. And most importantly, I would also hope that this will serve as a word of caution to web editors, managers, and publishers to at least double check the authenticity of information prior to its publication. SomaliLand Must Comply with the New Somalian Government!!!
Man Of Freedom replied to Paltalk's topic in Politics
I wonder how somalilander's are coping with the increasing progress in somali'a politics. The questions that remain in the minds of millions of somali's is! Will Somalilander's accept the federal government of somalia with pride or with irritation! how will they respond to unity! and what kind of role will they play in somali politics! the answers of these questions will largely determine the future peace and security of Somalia. Somalilander's have two choices in their hands force or negotiation. There is no middle ground between military force and political negotiation. -
Six Somali Men executed in Saudi-Arabia
Man Of Freedom replied to Major-General Cawad's topic in Politics
Ladies and Gentleman. The Royal Family of Suadi Arabia are notorious for their continues violation of the Sharia Law. They use the sharia law as a tool to simplify their crimes against humanity, hence they have undermined the very credibility of the Sharia law. There is no place in the Sharia law where it assents the killing of robbers, hand amputation is fathomable, but killing in these types of circumstances is totally unacceptable on any grounds. Again these murderous acts highlights the fundamental problem that engulfs the wider moslem world. Sharia law is interpreted, modified, altered, designed and fashioned in away that serves the interest of especial groups, individuals and states. It is imprudent and perilous to abuse the sharia law when there are crisis in the wider moslem world, yet, some groups such as the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia consistenly and deliberately abuse the sharia when ever they see it fit. For those of you who fervently espous this type of murderous acts, you are no different then those who carried out such vile and malevolence acts. You are either ignorant, ill-informed, misguided, or an apathetic.!
