Ethiopia to leave Somalia 'urgently' Thu, 28 Aug 2008 18:19:36 GMT Zenawi confirmed the news about the urgent withdrawal of Ethiopian troops from Somali. Ethiopian troops are to leave Somalia and withdraw their support for the country's interim government urgently, says the Ethiopian premier. The Ethiopian Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi confirmed the news about the urgent withdrawal adding that the pullout was bound to take place even if the Somali government was incapable of standing on its own two feet, a Press TV correspondent reported. Backed by the US, the soldiers invaded Somalia in 2006 in an attempt to sustain Somalia's Transitional Federal Government (TFG) which was beleaguered by runaway insurgency. Zenawi has arranged for a meeting with the tribal elders from ******, the most influential Somali clan, so he can plead for safe passage for the troops. The minister added that they felt sorry that their long-standing support for Somalia's overly weak administration had been of no avail. The apparently self-congratulatory remarks, which were made as if the troops had fully braved the insurgents, however, failed to take into consideration the various counts of murder and plunder they have been blamed for since the 2006 invasion. Meanwhile, the Ethiopians' Pasta base in the northern district of Huriwa in the capital, Mogadishu came under the insurgents' attack that killed 11 of the soldiers.

Fair enough unknown1, but you have to admit that the guy is at this moment in somalia spearheading along with others the liberation of somalia. Tell me what does Jacaylbaro know???? How dare he attack Sheekh Y.M. Siyaad Indhacadde, while he supports a somaliland admin that is timid towards ethiopia, one that is run by the biggest warlord and a known man that took part in the killings of the 1990s against the people of northern somalia. Meles does not even need troops in somaliland because he controls them by remote control, always riyaale flys to Addis Abba to take orders. Sheekh Y.M. Siyaad Indhacadde is too proud for that and has even challenged the ethiopians themselves. We refuse to be the dogs of ethiopia, we shall not tolerate a third world country giving us orders, hell No. We will see which of us has the last laugh.

All you somalis must understand that ethiopia did not choose to leave somalia but it was forced to start pulling out of somalia because of the strong resistance organised by the Islamic courts and the patriotic somalis. Ethiopia has done us no favour whatsoever, we are the ones that did ourselves a favour by the help of God. The Islamic courts will bring back peace and law to somalia, we will restart the somali economy and ensure that the sharia law is used to unite the somali clans. We would look towards having talks with the new puntland Adim and somaliland about having discussions about a united federal somalia. The initial priority of the courts is helping the displaced in somalia and allowing them to return to their homes with full support provide.

unknown1, i am with those that fight ethiopia, i am with those that have a nationalistic heart. Today the somali wadaads are the ones that care about somalia and the somali people. I am above ****** qabil and i am not General Duke. Ethiopia hates the somali people, we must all understand that. unknown1 you are the one that attacked a good man without any evidence and at this critical time. Such things i only expect from traitors of the likes of General Duke but not of a man of you status. I demand that you apologise to that man who is today fighting for he's deen and country otherwise i accuse you of being qabil motivated to attack him. unknown1, walahi fear Allah and admit that you are in the wrong.
-
By the way, what the hell is wrong with some of you somalis. Here we have a guy who fought and still fights the ethiopians for us and we abuse him???? Just because General Duke says the Guy is a warlord that does not make him one. General Duke calls AY a somali national hero, would anyone of you now believe General duke on that? After a few months believe me we will all start to see General Duke call our beloved Sheikh indhacade a hero, because people like General duke only follow cheer lead for those who have power. General Duke for the last three years was cheer leading for ethipia, now that ethioopia has been broken he is trying to sound pro-Islamic, looooool. Sheikh indhacade is a hero and will be celebrated in the history of somalia as one of the men who help liberate our nation.

unknown1 wallahi i can't believe that such words is coming from someone like you, omg. Afr0 GirL am not even from he's tribe but the man is a somali national hero. When somalia is liberated he will be given a heros welcome in Mogadisio

Walahi Sheekh Y.M. Siyaad Indhacadde is a national somali hero. He could have done what the other pathetic somali warlords did, that is bend over to ethiopia. But he refused and stood for deen and country, today he is one of the key figures leading the liberation of somalia and by God they are all doing an excellent Job. Unknown, wise up. This is when somalia will be reborn
-
Did the ethipians really think that the somalis would allow them to colonise us? Hell No. Sons of Somalia fought hard even though we never had any outside support and even though ethiopia had tanks and modern militry equipment with the backing of the US,EU,UN,AU and Arab League. We had no one except Allah. Somalia hanoolato.

Ethiopia’s largest bank to open branches in Sudan and Somaliland
Hassan6734 replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
They are very poor, their national bank depends on how much food stamps they receive each year. 90% of them don't even have toilets and defecate all over the streets and their own backyards is their place of toilet. They are a very dirty people, who do not have a bath nor wash their hands. -

I had no idea that famine stricken Ethiopia had a bank, let alone a national bank. -
Allahu Akbar. Good News, this had to be done, we had to deal with the ********s either today or tomorrow, lets make no mistake about that.
-
Victory is imminent, lets make no mistake about that.

Its now clear that we have broken the Ethiopians. Guul is now here.

Eritrea: President Isaias Holds Talks With Delegation From IGAD
Hassan6734 replied to Hassan6734's topic in Politics
Well done to Eritrea for standing side by side with Somalia against unprovoked Ethiopian aggression and occupation. In the long term somalia and Eritrea are set to having close relationship and cooperation. -
15 August 2008 Posted to the web 18 August 2008 Asmara President Isaias Afwerki today held talks at the Denden Hall with a delegation from the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) that comprises the foreign ministers of Sudan and Kenya, as well as the Executive Secretary of the organization. In the meeting, the President indicated that Eritrea suspended membership in IGAD in view of the fact that the organization violated of its own resolutions and that of the United Nations. He further pointed out that IGAD's support to Ethiopia's invasion of Somalia, a member state, and its little role in other issues of the region fully attest to the weakness of the organization. President Isaias elaborated that instead of trying to resolve some issues, IGAD has been complicating matters. Noting that Eritrea from the outset has been supporting regional integration and that it has played active role in reactivating the organization, the President underlined the need for reorganizing IGAD, as it could not achieve its set objectives the way it stands at present. Stating that if at all this region is to tackle the problems of the people through creating a common market and regional integration, he underscored that peace and security should prevail in the first place. In this regard, President Isaias stressed the need for IGAD not only to get restructured but also introduce a new mechanism. He further asserted that Eritrea supports regional integration even if undertaken through IGAD. In a press conference he gave at Asmara International Airport, the Kenyan Foreign Minister, Mr. Moses Wetangula, said that the meeting with President Isaias was fruitful and that conducive ground has already been created. He indicated that they have agreed the need to restructure the organization so that the programs of the IGAD Secretariat could correspond with the current wishes and aspirations of the people in the region. The Kenyan Foreign Minister also noted the significance of Eritrea's re-joining the organization. The delegation that includes the Kenyan Foreign Minister, Mr. Moses Wetangula, the Sudanese Foreign Minister, Mr. Deng Alor, and the Executive Secretary of IGAD, Eng. Mahbub M. Maalim, arrived here to hold talks on Eritrea's rejoining in the organization in line with the mission they have been assigned at the IGAD meeting last June. Relevant Links East Africa Eritrea It is to be recalled that Eritrea suspended membership in IGAD in April 2007.
