  1. Very nice. Now the next step is to face-off in debate on TV and answer viewer questions.
  2. ^ Give Laaska folks credit. They only enjoyed comprehensive peace in their city for the last few years but still they are coming out, albet small numbers now, to show their support and express their political views peacefully and orderly. Give them a few more years and they will be on bar with the rest of the Somaliland communities.
  3. Sida ay u xaqiijiyeen dad goobjoogayaal ahaa wakhtigii uu dagaalkani qaraxayey waxa ay sheegeen in Garabka SNM ee Dowlada sheegta Ciidamo ka tirsan oo Police ay si kedisa weerar ugu soo qaadeen Xaafaad October oo fariisin u ah Garabka SNM ee Mayalka adage e ku abtirsada Siilaanyo. LOL Qofka allsanaag.com oo qof mentally ill person ah iska leeyahay, isaga ayaaba u baahan in mental institution la geeyo. Mr. Me awoowe, Ha karaamo seegina Habaar la igu kari waaye PS Ilaahay ha u naxariisto naftii hureyaashi u babacdhigay canaasiirta khalkhal galinta waday. If they got away with it many innocent civilians would have fallen a victim to their terrorism activity. So I am glad they were pre-empted and defeated before they striked.

  5. The citizens from Milkywells are slowly but surely showing more confidence to come out and show their support despite the threats posed by the anti-peace forces. Well done.
  6. Folks from the Burnley Wells have shown strong support for Kulmiye indeed.
  7. ^Lets leave the future off the discussion for a minute, because only Allah is the all knowing. But from what you outlined, what is the difference between that and Siyaad Barre's scourged earth policy of the 1980s? In which: 1. The non-SNM clans were empowered and militarised to the teeth... 2. All Northern coast was blokaded and Berbera Port was closed, so that SNM-clans were forced to import everything from Mogadishu. 3. Military garrisons were established within Urban Centers 4. ONLF refugees were encouraged to take forcefull ownership of the lands so that they become land-lords in the SNM clan territory 5. Summary executions of SNM-clan elites were daily occurances 6. Constant daily Curfews and harrasments and Unfair Taxation were imposed on SNM-clan run businesses so that they would go out of business quickly What makes you think your outlined method will work when the Siyad Barre's backfired, especialy when the anti-Somaliland forces are in such a dismall state politically, economically and militarily when compared to Siyad Barre's era.
  8. ^What makes you think, that it hasn't been tried before?
  9. ^What sort of change is coming North? I see a lot of former UDUB minsiters, who felt out of favour with Rayaale, are now in the Kulmiye circles. Will they come back as Kulmiye ministers? and if so would that be counted as part of the change that is coming?
  10. But would i stop being Somali weyn despite these odds logically i shouldn't be. But i dont care what they think. There will be no Somalidiids; because of this it may be futile to negotiate on the diplomatic front but on the military front i have an idea first regain the non-Isac regions such as the SSC by arming seccessionists and inciting nationalism, make sure their not recognized in the mean time, constant incursions from the SNA which will financially blead them dry, After all this do the same for the *** clan regions in the far west and conquer the coast lines which will link up with Sanaag. Theyll be left with even a smaller enclave; one they will have no where to turn to There are a couple of things you are doing wrong here. Firstly, you are putting the cart before the horse. And if that wasn't a big problem itself, the horse itself, in fact, is dead. And the Cart has no wheels. Thirdly, the method you outlined in the above quote, is the very reason why, in the first place, the horse died and the cart has no wheels. Just food for thought.
  11. Those photos are current because Kulmiye's VP Mr. Zaylici was not in the Kulmiye ticket in 2007. Zaylici was named as VP from late 2008. Well done to reer Awdal.

Great number of Laasnood residents is in makeshift prisons, erected by a clan that is incapable to become acquainted with the art of governance. This is the truth of the matter. The region doesn't need wars... they need education, health and other developments. It would be wise for the anti-peace groups to re-direct their effort to worthwhile endevours.

  14. Very strong kick off of the elections campaigns by UDUB. The thing I like about this is that each party is allocated a day to own the streets and airwaves and anything in between. This will clearly give the security forces amble time to make the process secure and doesn't force them to employ huge numbers to seperate competing groups. Very well done to the NEC. ------- For the Pirateland folks here, awooweyaal, just because you can't put a show like this yourself, you don't have to hate it. Give it up folks.
  15. Well done to Laaska folks. Hopefully they will come out in emass to take part and exercise their rights in the coming elections, despite the threats from the anti-peace groups.
  16. LOL@ Cawke So now Xabashida will liberate Laascaanood for you? Tough luck.

  18. Crockdale tears. Little does the young Garaad know that he is already known as a warmonger and clan warlord in the diplomatic circles of East Africa. Hence why he was refused to travel in Ethiopia and why his folks were arrested in Nairobi the other day. Originally posted by Jacaylbaro: I am profoundly disappointed with the whole UN involvement in Somalia and wonder whether its [humanitarian] activities in our country are in line with its stated objectives. My people in Sool, Sanaag, and Ayn regions share these feelings and views with me. I alway believed that the core value and mission of the United Nations is respect for all humans, principle of impartiality, fairness, neutrality, and independence from undue influence of any party. It was always my firm conviction that the UN has special responsibility for ensuring the protection and assistance of vulnerable civilian populations in time of war and other major calamities which are imposed on them and are not of their own making. My long-held view about this world body is now shattered by the reality on the ground, the reality happening now to my people and to my land. My people are being killed, maimed, and imprisoned by the clan-based entity in Hargeisa. My people are being driven from their homes and their land; my people are being displaced from major population centers in which they lived including Buhodle, Lasanod, Widhwidh, Balli-Hara. The latest assault by SNM occurried in Buhodle, widhiwdh, and Balli-hara during May 21-23. In the this latest incident Hargeisa entity militias killed over 50 people including women, children, and older people.Over 150 people were wounded, properties destroyed and pillaged. These attacks have created a humanitarian disaster. The UN and its many agencies has miserably failed to undertake its mandate to intervene and stop the naked aggression being committed by the clan-driven, so-called Somaliland enclave against the peaceful people in Sool, Sanaag, and Ayn regions. No humanitarian relief has so far reached those affected areas. The UN has failed to assist those affected civilians who are in dire need for medicine, food, shelter, and other necessities. Heavy rains have also complicated the situation. Long before this tragedy occurred we issued many warning and calls to the UN for action to prevent it only to fell on deaf ears; the UN had blatantly ignored the unfolding tragedy; And now this. Therefore, on half of my people, I call the whole world to stop this slaughter of my people by the so-called Somaliland perpetrators. I call the UN to condemn this heinous atrocity being committed by the SNM militia against my innocent people. I also call for urgent humanitarian assistance for the the wounded and the displaced people of Buhodle, Widhwidh, Bali-hara, and the other places affected by this destruction. BY Garad Jama Garad Ali Garad Jama The Traditional Leader Of Sool, Sanaag And ayn Regions.
  19. Qofkii beenta iskugu sheekeeyey runta in loo sheego ayuu ka gubta. Hence, why Mr Me doesn't want to hear anything that is opposite to his views and rather wants "Shimbirayow heesa" style of discussions. A trait he perhaps learned from his days as "Ubaxa Kacaanka" ee Siyad Barre.
  20. Contrary to what the defeated boys including the one who has recently found "dapodiliph*" as a new lexicon into his word list, spew here. The events that took place in what used to be Southern districts of Togdheer region was purely coincidental. As you might be aware of, Somaliland is currently in a drive to replace voter and ID cards. The SL army helped the National Electrol Commision to bring the new cards to Souther Sool region just recently taking the process to Kalabaydhka village which is about 50KM south of Laascaanood. In the same way, the SL army was helping the NEC again in Buuhoodleh district. On the Ethiopian issue, they were doing their own seperate operations which was relating to the elections that took place on Sunday. The little skirmish that took place in Buuhoodle was started after the Ethiopians banned vehicles from entering or leaving Buuhoodle. In a nutshell, the events coincided at the same times but they are totally different and have no relations or links whatsoever.
  21. Originally posted by Peace Action: Suldaanka, What is the reality today. 1-You have no problem with using Ethiopian muscle to kill your owm people? 2- If you call that real politic, then how about alleniating SSC people who you want to help with your secession. 3- By gloating about the killing of SSC people, does that show clearly that your whole enclave is bent on revenge when and if you can. 4- The Puntland admin has failed the SSC people and that is fact acknowledged by all of us but that is not a victroy for secessionst because the people of SSC are resisting your wicked secession from Somalia. 1. Firstly, there is no one using Ethiopians. But I understand why you would like to inject Ethiopians into the Sool and Sanaag issue. Be a man, take on the chin, and face the facts. There is no need to scapegoat your defeat on Ethiopians. 2. Real politics is the reality on the ground. There is no Puntland administration found anywhere in Sool region and that in itself is a victory. 3. Civilians and kids are being given health boost in Laascaanood, just in case you didn't know. 4. If Puntland administration wasn't decisively defeated by the Somaliland Administration, the local boys who supported Puntland would not have the need to organise themselves. The fact that they are trying to take the matter on their own hands is a result of the reality on the ground that Somaliland has created.

Of course, adigo oo kale you will probably have carried an Ethiopian flag, sing their national anthem whilst they were invading your lands.. Malika, these unarmed ppl were killed by the Somaliland militia, who are apparently fighting to teach Somali Nomads how to use election boxes. It's a different incident to the Ethiopians in Buhoodle. AUN to all of them. Suldaanka, so unarmed civilians can be killed because someone wrote an article on the internet?Do you see how idiotic you sound? No. Civilians should not be killed. But, it is a big But, if civilians take arms and shoot at soldiers they will be killed. A civilian who is armed is no longer a civilian. Unfortunately, if some of the civilians arm themselves and fight from inside civilian houses... then unfortunately some unarmed civilians might get injured or wounded. The issue here is, why would anyone want civilians to take up arms in the first place??? Somaliland army is found not inside towns but they are in fact position several kilometres outside town centers. Anyone that wants a fight they know where to find the SL army... there is no need for the civilians to get involved in a battle. So my advice to those who are calling for the civilians to take arms, is that, they need to reconsider. If they have balls and men who can fight, they should fight like men and face the bullets themselves not ask the women and kids as a cover.
  23. The opposite could have been a shocker. In the olden days, the UN was so misinformed that it used to spend a lot of time trying to convince SL to attend a conference like this. But that doesn't happen nowadays and the reason is that Somaliland position vis-a-vis these conference is very clear.
