  1. Galbeedi We know you carry an oversized magnifying glass when looking at Somaliland. It is very true to this day as it was decades ago. So it is no surprise to me, at least. I expected it. It is same reasons why two jufo-fighting in Ceel Afwayne hits all the headlines and why detractors like yourself waste no minutes to start predicting doomsday scenarios and drool over end of times. All whilst turning a blind eye to the real issues. I mean, where else will the death of 500 people and the wounding of thousands doesn't even register the headline? Go figure!!! So, from tha prespective, I understand how you want to highlight a small incident here and another incident there and stitch together a story which feeds your evil thoughts so you can find some sort of solace from it. Now coming back to your list of events, if you combined all those things you have just mentioned, they do not stack up to what happened in Mogadishu for 1 single week, let alone over the course of a 30 years. It is just the truth. You can slow-motion the events in Somaliland anlayse all you want but the truth remains and facts are facts. I will come back for more after work...
  2. What 1991 means for Somaliland: 1. Liberation of Somaliland from Mogadishu's dictatorship 2. Return of Somaliland refugees from Ethiopian Refugee camps 3. Peace Conferences and Rebuilding of Governance and rule of law 4. Rebuilding of economy and infrastructure 5. Welcoming of Somaliland citizens fleeing Mogadishu etc etc What 1991 means for Somalia: 1. Collapse of Government and start of civilwar 2. Start of Refugee life in Dadaab, Kakuma just to name a few in Kenya. 3. Death and destruction of epic scale 4. The root of all problems from Warlords, Terrorism, Piracy
  3. They are currently under an unannounced AU Trusteeship, a UN Trusteeship is an upgrade, in my opinion.
  4. If you take part in an event which is sponsored or funded by the Nabar&Naxdin crew, then you will face the music and enjoy the famous 'liinta'. With regards to sports kkk ciyaarta jooji awoowe. sport waxa ka horeeya waa wixii naga dhaxeeyay aan ka heshiino.
  5. Cheeseman and co wanted free political movement between Hargeisa and Mogadishu. Of course, that was rejected by Hargeisa. It is a political issue and needs to be addressed within the wider political settlement. As it stand now, there are no restrictions on business or civil travels at all.The only restrictions that exist are those with political connections. Contrary to your assertion, in fact the IC and host nation are more in line with Somaliland's positions.
  6. It is been the case since the SNM days... Duhur la isla wada jiro Hadaan guusha la i dayn!
  7. What began as a single thread has woven itself into a prestigious carpet. Thankyou Mama Edna Adan. Year 2000: 1 nurse per 20,000 , 1 doctor per 50,000 Year 2020: 1 nurse per 2,000, 1 doctor per 10,000 Year 2030: 1 nurse per 500, 1 doctor per 2,000
  8. Product of Somaliland. Value added Berberawi Blackhead mutton, main customers Malaysia and UAE.
  9. This has nothing do with any ideology or any form of desire or vision. Because if it were, after 30 years we do not see anyone of them showing any glimmer of hope to realisation of that vision or ideology or whatever you call it. But the ultimate reason is pure 'xasad'... geedkii madaxa la kacaba inay kurta ka jaraan ayay damacsanyiin. Which is why it will never get of the ground. It reminds me of a story that was shared with me by my brother who resides and works in Abu Dhabi, while visiting that country. He said, Abu Dhabi has a sea food market where both living or frozen sea food products are sold. One of the things that caught his eye one day was the 'live lobster' market. He said the lobsters from Europe or even Africa or Australia were all placed under covered containers. Whereas the lobsters from India were left uncovered. When he enquired why the lobsters from India are left uncovered, the food stall owner said "Whereas other countries lobsters would help each other scape the the container., those lobsters from India pull each others 'legs and they'll never get out of the container'. Kii is yidhaa meesha ka baxso lugtay ku soo dhegaan. I am sure the Indians stole those lobsters from Somalia's sea.
  10. Quote " * We need to ask for ‘Trusteeship’ to provide us time to cool off, address grievances, and streamline our national narrative * We need to change the capital, even for temporary * We need to redefine the five corner start in the flag to represent values of coexistence instead of lost territories that since accepted to become part of another nation or been recognized as a nation of its own. In 2004, at the Israaca annual conference held in Columbus, members have thoroughly debated and finally approved a policy paper advocating the UN to consider placing Somalia in a trusteeship program. 11. The fact that the IC were dumbfounded by the clueless, unprofessional, and extemely childish behaviour of the Mogadishu team. Versus, the professional, organised and well planned Hargeisa team. Even Djibouti found it irritating.
  12. Deni Yoga ha loo sheego xadku meesha u yahay, hadii uu ka meermeero, ha loogu dhaarto in Xadka Somaliland inu maro meel 4km u jira Garowe. Ilaa halkaa calanka Somaliland laga taago, aan ciidanka Qaranku joogsanayn.
  13. Miyay Somali Bantu soo dirsadaan. That is fine by us, so long they know what they came to the table with.
  14. @galbeedi Somaliland Wins: 1. Somaliland demanded that for the talks to go ahead, they should not be left to Somalis alone in a meeting room. Rather, the IC community needs to be there as mediators and guarantors of the agreements. This has been checked [tick] 2. Somaliland demanded the talks be held as equals Somaliland and Somalia This has been checked [tick] 3. Somaliland demanded the talks must be between representatives of Somalia (what used to be Ex-Italians Somalia) and Somaliland. Checked [Ticked] -------------------------------- The following are still being discussed ... 4. Implement of previous agreements Somaliland says all the previous agreements need to be implemented before any serious talks can be opened about other more important issues. Somalia wants preconditions for those agreements. The mediators are on the side of Somaliland. As also tweeted by Turkish Ambassador, when he questioned about the faith of previous agreements. 5. Agreement on debt relief and World Bank/IMF new loans Somaliland is aware how the agreement between Somaliland/Somalia regarding the Airspace was one of the reasons why the UN ICAO handed over the Airspace back to Somali hands. However the Somalia Government backtracked from implementing the agreement. Considering that history of dishonesty from Mogadishu, any agreement with regards to WorldBank/IMF etc, will strong concessions on Mogadishu side attached to it. Whether Mogadishu walks away or not, that is not our issue.
  15. TRO - AJT, You are correct. Marwo Edna Adan became a senior at WHO and eventually became the Country Director for Djibouti from 1986 until retirement in 2000. As with regards to Husseen Ali Ducaale (Awil), he was appointed as an ambassador to Kenya in early 1970s and defected in 1977.
  16. Guleed another Muqdisho young guns and thought leaders, lends support to Somaliland's causes. More coming.
