  4. Parliamaanka DF Somalia oo hambalyo iyo bogaadin u diray madaxwayna Somaliland ee shacabku so doortay. Xubnaha Aqalka sare "Doorashadii Somaliland waa mid aan Africa aan ka dhicin oo xamaasad iyo xiiso lahayd".

  6. I think Cirro is light years ahead of today's politicians. He is the sort of man who was able to bring together the HY politicians and get them inline behind. You can compare this momentous task to the Laaska clan mounting a unified political position for the first time. It is a herculean achievement in itself. Other things that we will remember is that Cirro upended the Somaliland political scene by turning it into a shrewd high stakes, behind the curtains deals. Remember Ina Seed who how he got ditched just hours before the new Waddani VP was announced. Obviously, it would have been a termendous achievement if Waddani was able to win, as they would have made history. It took Kulmiye two attempts before they won the Presidents. Overall, I think there is a good foundation for Waddani to build on. 2022 elections will be the one to watch.

  9. President Elect Muse Bihi Cabdi first press conference.
  10. Barwaaqo & Alpha, La shukran ala wajib. Anyway thanks. With regards to Somaliland's progress towards representative democracy, I have to say that we have come a long way. The issues you are seeing today are issues related to technicalities, personal greed etc. They are not in anyway shape or form reflective of the general view and direction of this country. Technical issues like underage voting, publishing results on time (same day/night), ballot paper authentity and verifications. These can be fixed, I am very confident come next elections, these issues will be addressed. The hardest issue that will not be guaranteed is the issue of greed, dishonesty and related issues of officials discharging their duty faithfully and honestly. This will take a long time. Overall, Somaliland is moving forward, slowly but surely.
  11. A cause for concern is the main opposition party Waddani was not present at the event where NEC released the numbers.

  16. A little bit of a drama. Hey, you have to have one in these kind of contests. What you just witnessed is that people will not accept cheating, I mean a little bit of cheating here and there is admissible, hey, who says that it doesn't happen in the 1st world either? Ah! Anyway, these few hiccups are part of the learning curve, and definitely what went wrong will be analysed and studied. Hopefully we will learn from it and come next elections, have another wonderful elections. Anyway, things are back on track. Counting in Hargeisa is being done. Stay tuned. Btw, glad to see a lot of good old people smell blood and come from far afield for for a feast. Sorry, Reer Somaliland have a lot of different levels of institutions that they fall back to in times of crisis. And most importantly, even when cheated, they don't employ "Cadaow Ku Cunay ama Ku ciideeyay". Instead, there is always tomorrow.
  17. Yaa ku yidhi looma ogola? Somaliland cid wax laga hor jooga ma jirto. Ragga sadexda ah, qof hadiyad loo siiyay ma jiro inu madax u noqdo xisbi. Nin walbaa tab iyo xeel iyo xiniinyo ayu ku soo baxay. Qofna inu isago casiir iska cabaaya ku riyoodo inu madaxnodo, waa inu barkinta iska dheeraysto oo riyoda iskaga jiro. Laakin hadii aad nolosha aad doonaysid inaad meel ka gaadho waa inaad la timaadid tab iyo xeelsheed sida raga aad soo sheegtay ee sadexda ah. Tobankii sano mar ayaa la fura Urur siyaasadeedka oo qof walba u furantay inu ka qayb qaato Doorashada golaha deegaanka. Ilaa 10 URUR ayaa 2012 wada orday, sadexda hada jira ayaa ka soo dhex baxay. Intii kale waa rabeebay.
