Ambassador Booth: Xalka O'gaden Waa Xalka Amniga Itoobiya
Cyber_Nomad replied to Kamaavi's topic in Politics
the region's population should get a self-determination vote - which is guaranteed by Ethiopia's constitution -, which it won't get under the current government and with Gas in the region administrations to come will have to make a difficult choice. -
Dahir Riyale is more popular in Djibouti http://saylac.com/blog/2010/02/beesha-ciise-dalka-jabuuti-oo-isku-raacday-inay-tageerto-dahir-rayale -kahin than he is in Somaliland.

The Lion Is Landing in Hargeisa ....... Some Some
Cyber_Nomad replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
The thing is UDUB is resorting to dirty tactics, because of the diplomatic success of Silanyo's policy, they just alienate them selves from the people. Silanyo is pro-Somalia as much as Abdullahi Yusuf is pro-Somaliland. -
I don't think he is any different from other terrorist, and the way that pictures him as an Angel when he was christian is unreal he was messed up back then as much as he is right now. ever heard about Columbine, they were also 'cool' & 'normal' teenagers.

Nooloow Shariifoow - 1 year on. What has been achieved?
Cyber_Nomad replied to Haatu's topic in Politics
Well he managed to turn all somali factions against him including those who are pro Somalia - puntland and Ahlu sunnah- he lost territories to the opposition specifically to al-shabaab and Xizbul Islam , corruption is still a real problem in his government and forces, failed to get foreign forces to help against the terrorists as well as failing to train his own. if I make a checklist on the three most important things then : Security: failed. National harmony: failed. Economic: failed. I hope he manages to learn whats hot and whats cold in politics for the sake of his people - who like choose terrorists over him- -
^ blessed Ive been through berbera airport almost a dozen times -last time six months ago- and there are NO houses in the vicinity, unless you are talking about the abandoned military barracks, nad those -even in their best days- are anything but gorgeous

President Obama slams obstructionist Republicans
Cyber_Nomad replied to Mr. Somalia's topic in Politics
The republicans do have a point about the health care reform, and that is economic burden on the government budget thats already 1 trillion dollar deep in deficit -
The problem facing the Sool respectable elders is -and always was- commitment to one goal, they failed or refused to commit to Somaliland - due to tribal links and history-, and were denied real commitment from puntland - due to the fact of economic insignificance and/or incapability-. The region is landlocked, semi-desert and under-developed area that can't be independent, and lacks a unified political and tribal elite that can lead it-yet-.

I don't want to be pessimistic but I believe it will eventually be ruined and turned into senseless bickering. but Dajiye do keep us posted on WHEN it will start

yet again I can't see how these bombings are beneficial to anybody bee it Somaliland or puntland or the most important people affected by it those of Sool, 'freedom' fighters -or those who claim they are- don't had their identity they flaunt it even when facing a greater power e.g. Al Qaida and US or ONLF and Ethiopia. I have great suspicions of those carrying these well planned attacks simply because they are keeping a low profile and not claiming there acts.
