Curvy is fine, pleasing to the eye. Fat is an uneven distribution of weight across the body, coupled with excess fat mass.

Well, we all know Somalia fell during the first round , and Romania didn't manage to qualify , so who do we support? Why, Algeria of course!!! With this, I'd also like to plug my newest song, dedicated to the glory of the wlad al khadra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNqJsqAN_PM Who are you guys thinking of supporting at the World Cup?

These "brave young men" have proven beyond reasonable doubt, in May 2009, that they care about nothing except POWER. Therefore they don't deserve sh*t, not even the benefit of the doubt.

Islamists in southern Somalia have stoned a man to death for adultery but spared his pregnant girlfriend until she gives birth. Abas Hussein Abdirahman, 33, was killed in front of a crowd of some 300 people in the port town of Merka. An official from the al-Shabab group said the woman would be killed after she has had her baby. Islamist groups run much of southern Somalia, while the UN-backed government only control parts of the capital. This is the third time Islamists have stoned a person to death for adultery in the past year. Al-Shabab official Sheikh Suldan Aala Mohamed said Mr Abdirahman had confessed to adultery before an Islamic court. "He was screaming and blood was pouring from his head during the stoning. After seven minutes he stopped moving," an eyewitness told the BBC. The BBC's Mohammed Olad Hassan in Mogadishu says that if the woman is also killed, her baby would be given to relatives to look after. Meanwhile, President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has accused al-Shabab of spoiling the image of Islam by killing people and harassing women. "Their actions have nothing to do with Islam," said the moderate Islamist during a ceremony at which he nominated a new administration for the capital, Mogadishu. "They are forcing women to wear very heavy clothes, saying they want them to properly cover their bodies but we know they have economic interests behind - they sell these kinds of clothes and want to force people to buy them." Last month, two men were stoned to death in the same town after being accused of spying. A 13-year-old girl was stoned to death for adultery in the southern town of Kismayo last year. Human rights groups said she had been raped. Another man has also been punished in this way in the Lower Shabelle region. Mr Sharif, a former rebel leader, was sworn in as president after UN-brokered peace talks in January. Although he says he also wants to implement Sharia, al-Shabab says his version of Islamic law would be too lenient. The country has not had a functioning national government for 18 years. (BBC)

UNDP: 1 in 7 Somalis live overseas - wire 1 billion back home
Sherban Shabeel replied to Jacpher's topic in General
Only one in seven? I don't know why I was under the impression that the majority of Somalis are outside of Somalia. -

Questioning the Veil: Open Letters to Muslim Women
Sherban Shabeel replied to ElPunto's topic in General
Just wanted to make a little distinction here for the sake of conversation: Hamas doesn't force anyone to wear the hijab. Shabaab does. -

And why are we discussing politics in a forum dedicated to Islam?

Brother Nur, I was a major supporter of Shabaab during the Ethiopian invasion, but I changed my mind when I saw the coup d'etat in May 2009 because I realized they aren't fighting for the freedom of the Somali people. They are fighting for power. The organization has lost its raison d'etre since Ethiopian soldiers left and has now morphed into a monster just as nasty as the warlords it claims to be fighting. I repeat: Al-Shabaab has killed MORE CIVILLIANS than AMISOM. If you don't know that you're not following the news. And if you still don't believe me, I will be more than happy to dig up all the news stories during this last year and prove it to you. Also, please note that AMISOM isn't firing "high powered artillery shells", it's firing mortars just like the ones it get fired at.

Again there goes the clueless “Romanian” gypsy commenting on things he does not know about. Adeer the O sub clan is my own kin in any terms, they are family thus you have no argument there. If we were talking about a golf club then it would not matter what name one took. We are talking about the “liberation” struggle of a new nation. There are many sub clans and clans who inhabit the land who don’t want to fight under the banner of another clan who are their equals. Thus its counter productive, and I make these suggestion as a man who has deep familial affection for his family. You care for the O-people as much as you care for my gypsy nation, stop being such a hypocrite. "Familial affection" LMFAO I'm sorry, I should have said "your sub-clan hatred never ceases to amaze me".

Hellooooo the Palestinian women are the ones in red. The one with the hijab is a Jordanian player.
-
Just a note: the Palestinian side is wearing the red outfit, and therefore not wearing the hijab. Also if they're running around in shorts and chasing a ball, it's because they want to. Nobody told them "yo, put on some shorts and chase that ball". Just like no one told you to start moralizing women on the internet lol

I am sorry Nur, but the comparison between the atrocities commited by Israel and AMISOM is very weak in my eyes. 1. Scale of agression: A)Israel controls how much of Palestine? Theoretically most of it. In practice, if you count the blockade, the wall, the checkpoints, Israel controls ALL OF IT. B)AMISOM controls a *compound* in Mogadishu, along with the port and airport. 2. Intention: A)Israel is an occupying and ever-expanding force whose sole interest is to see every inch of Palestine under Jewish dominion. Every individual Israeli soldier has a personal interest to kill Palestinians. B)AMISOM hasn't occupied Somalia in any shape or form, and is simply a "bodyguard force", a buffer between the President and rebels. Individual AMISOM soldiers couldn't care less about Somalia and I'm sure they would like nothing more than to return to their respective countries where they don't have to get shot at every day. 3. Military tactics: A)Israel gets some crappy home-made rockets fired at it (which rarely kill anyone), and responds with white phosphorus, tanks, heavy bombardments and so on. Disproportionate use of force to increase the suffering and misery of the Palestinian people. B)AMISOM gets mortars fired at it from Bakara, and responds with mortars fired towards Bakara. No disproportionate use of force here. In conclusion, Israel is very different from AMISOM. There is no intention by the African Union to enslave the Somali people. We are right to be outraged when AMISOM shellings kill Somali civilians. However, checking the numbers of casualties, you will find that Shabaab has killed WAY MORE Somalis than the Ugandan and Burundian troops, and this speaks volumes for a group which is supposed to defend Somalis and Muslims. I can count on my fingers the number of times AMISOM has responded to Shabaab attacks. Demonizing AMISOM isn't helping anyone, since they're just some hungry young men stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time.

ONLF need to convince their population not us
Sherban Shabeel replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
I see you are still incapable of saying anything constructive and resort to pathetic attacks to discredit your opponents. -
This is crazy! The fact that some people would deny help to their Somali brethren because they belong to an organization and live in a region named after a certain clan is MIND-BOGGLING. Furthermore, you think that a name change is going to change the organization and make it more "clan neutral"? If you hate the taste of root beer and its name was changed to "heaven water" would you start drinking it? If the fact that the region and the organization are dominated by one clan which is not yours, is stopping you from helping your brethren, FINE! Just stick to your corner and stop whining. But this attitude does speak volumes about the shitty state Somalia is in today.

Why on Earth would they drop the name? LOL your clan hatred never ceases to amaze me.

Yet another negative/whining thread. No surprise here. Is anyone outside of Duke's clan safe from his criticism and his bile?
