One major side-effect of us immigrating to the west seems to be the risk of developing a destructive mentality. There is nowhere this is more evident then what this young lost girl wrote. In particular, her mindset is a result of the much accelerated loss of Islamic mentality that comes with living out here. Originally posted by Xalimo7: I have read the few threads recently about god...and the various other threads about god since I started in this forum, every time there is a mention of god, or a mere dis-believe in it(for I know not who god is, man or woman, it doesn't matter), it will inevitably end up with pages of arguments, believers vs non-believers.here i am working my buts off to make ends meet, see you,am around dude how dare you question the authority and power of Alaah most high and most gracious. Bani Adaam xun oo powerless ah aa tahay.. do you realize the fact that you are sitting here healthy is a blessing from god by itself? what would you do if alaah sent a car to run you over, mutilated your face and crippled you from neck down? Who would you turn to then? Rest assured your mentality does NOT enjoy any acceptance among Jews and Christians let alone us Muslims. so please spit your venum somewhere else... Anyways.. Ilaaahay ha ku hadeeyo ruux dhunsan aa tahee.. Ameen.

Rudy.. I still cant understand why you keep talking about saudi’s abuse of Islamic teachings. just like how Pyromaniac_Pixie said.. Saudi’s are not angels, and we shouldn’t quit practicing islam if they decide not to be good muslims.. so saxib your whole concept is wrong…

Saxib Rudy its irrational to question the divine laws and shari’a allah has bestowed upon us just because the Saudi’s are not practicing them, from your inscrutable reply I sensed (and please correct me if I am wrong) that you think we shouldn’t feel lucky because we are muslim since religions are used by states men to manipulate the minds of their people and keep them in the dark. So could you please confirm that with me before I proceed ?

Imagine if you found out you have only one day to live !! What would you do in that last day of your life? Would you spend it all on prayer asking Alaah for forgiveness and mercy ? Or Would you run to your parents whom you have long neglected? Or Would you destroy all the music CD’s that you have in your car? Or Would read Quraan after you have abandoned it? If your answer was yes to any of these questions… Then why wouldn’t you do that NOW, you don’t know if you are going to live another day in your life?? You don’t know if you are going to Janah or Jahanam!! Alaah said in his holy book…. (حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ) (المؤمنون:99) ( حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لا يُفَرِّطُونَ) (الأنعام: من الآية61) (فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لا يَشْعُرُونَ) (الشعراء:202) Please visit these webpage... http://www.saaid.net/flash/almoot.swf http://www.saaid.net/flash/mm.swf May Alaah bless you all.. Proud sista.. before you decide to join the army, have you thought about your job describtions ? Do you know a soldier’s main objective is to kill people.. tell me how would you feel if you were sent to an Islamic country like Iraq and was assigned to one of the bombing squads that massively bombed innocent muslims ? how do you feel about having a muslim child’s blood on your hands? Do you think New Zealand’s politicians who ordered you to kill muslims will help you in the judgment day? And what is the cause you are killing the innocent children for ? the betterment of imperial west!! look at this picture… do you really want to bomb muslims as young as this little girl to death ?

i have been following the reports of this somali brother with a great deal of admiration, i wish i was in Bagdad today to shake his hand. U.S. Soldiers Attack IOL’S Iraq Correspondent Ali Halani (Halane) BAGHDAD, June 1 (IslamOnline.net) - The U.S. occupation forces attacked late Saturday, May 31, IslamOnline.net correspondent Ali Halani, driver Mazen al-Ebeidi and Samir Sobhi, a journalist accompanying Halani, who were filming some places in al-Bayaa’ street in Baghdad. Halani said that a U.S. patrol stopped their car and snatched their digital camera, while five soldiers pointed their weapons at them, took them forcibly to an out-of-the-street post and treated them inhumanely. He said the soldiers violently pushed him and knocked him against the car, leaving him with bruises covering his arms, knees and his collarbone. Halani said that the soldiers released them after half an hour of threats and abuse, but shunned giving their camera back. “The patrol’s captain even refused to listen to us and ordered us to have our mouths shut,” Halani said. “If you do not leave the place within 30 seconds, I will arrest you and your colleagues and send you to prison,” the U.S. captain threatened. Shortly afterwards, Halani headed to the U.S.-run press office in Al-Rashid hotel in Baghdad to report this incident to them but to no avail. Halani, a Somali, worked for other reputable international and local news agencies and newspapers and is now IOL correspondent in Iraq. This is not the first time that the U.S. occupation forces attack journalists in a bid to muzzle free press. During the U.S.-led war on Iraq, U.S. missiles hit the Baghdad offices of Al-jazeera television early on April 8, killing one staff and wounding another in what the Qatar-based Arabic news network charged was a deliberate strike. Al-jazeera correspondent Tareq Ayub was killed and Zuheir al-Iraqi was hit in the neck by shrapnel. Spain's Tele 5 (Telecinco) television’s cameraman Jose Couso, 37, and Reuters' Warsaw-based Ukrainian cameraman Taras Protsyuk, 35, were killed when a U.S. tank shelled the Palestine Hotel on April 8 in the Iraqi capital, wounding four other correspondents. The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) charged that the attacks were crimes of war. "The bombing of hotels where journalists are staying and targeting of Arab media is particularly shocking events in a war which is being fought in the name of democracy," said IFJ General Secretary Aidan White in a statement issued shortly after the deaths were reported. "Those who are responsible must be brought to justice," White underlined.

There follows a list of things that can be done in one minute, by the permission of Allaah. In one minute you can recite Soorat al-Faatihah 3 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Some scholars said that the reward for reading al-Faatihah is more than 600 hasanahs, so if you read it 3 times you will, by the permission of Allaah, gain more than 1800 hasanahs - all of that in one minute. In one minute you can recite Soorat al-Ikhlaas (Qul Huwa Allaahu Ahad) 20 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Reciting it once is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’aan. If you read it 20 times it is equivalent to reading the Qur’aan 7 times. If you read it 20 times in one minute each day, you will have read it 600 times in one month, and 7200 times in one year, which will be equal in reward to reading the Qur’aan 2400 times. You can read one page of the Book of Allaah in one minute. You can memorize a short aayah of the Book of Allaah in one minute. In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer (There is no god except Allaah alone with no partner; to Him be dominion and praise, and He is Able to do all things) - 20 times. The reward for saying this is like freeing 8 slaves for the sake of Allaah from among the sons of Ismaa’eel. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah) 100 times. Whoever says that in one day will be forgiven for his sins even if they are like the foam of the sea. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi Subhaan Allaah il-‘Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allaah, glory be to Allaah the Almighty) 50 times. These are two phrases which are light on the lips, heavy in the balance and beloved to the Most Merciful, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When I say ‘Subhaan Allaah, wa’l-hamdu Lillah, wa laa ilaah ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar (Glory be to Allaah, praise be to Allaah, there is no god except Allaah, and Allaah is Most Great)’, this is more beloved to me than all that the sun rises upon." (Narrated by Muslim). In one minute, you can say all of these words more than 18 times. These words are the most beloved words to Allaah, the best of words, and they weigh heavily in the balance of good deeds, as was narrated in the saheeh ahaadeeth. In one minute you can say, Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (there is no strength and no power except with Allaah) more than 40 times. This is one of the treasures of Paradise, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. They are a means of putting up with difficulties and of aiming to achieve great things. In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah approximately 50 times. This is the greatest word, for it is the word of Tawheed, the good word, the word that stands firm. If these are the last words of a person, he will enter Paradise, and there are other reports which indicate how great these words are. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdih, ‘adada khalqihi, wa ridaa nafsihi, wazinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink of His words) more than 15 times. This words bring many more times the reward for other forms of tasbeeh and dhikr, as was reported in saheeh ahaadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). In one minute you can seek the forgiveness of Allaah more than 100 times by saying "Astaghfir-Allaah" (I seek the forgiveness of Allaah). The virtues of seeking forgiveness are no secret, for it is the means of attaining forgiveness and entering Paradise, and it is the means of being granted a good life, increasing one’s strength, warding off disasters, making things easier, bringing rain and increasing one’s wealth and children. You can say a few brief and concise words in one minute, and Allaah may bring about some good through them that you could never imagine. In one minute you can send blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) 50 times by saying Sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (May Allaah bless him and grant him peace). In return Allaah will send blessings upon you 500 hundred times because one blessing brings ten like it. In one minute you can motivate your heart to give thanks to Allaah, to love Him, to fear Him, to put hope in Him, to long for Him, and thus travel through the stages of ‘uboodiyyah (total enslavement to Allaah). You could do this when you are lying on your bed or walking in the street. In one minute you can read more than two pages of a useful book that is easy to understand. In one minute you can uphold the ties of kinship by calling a relative on the phone. You can raise your hands and recite any du’aa’ you wish from the books of du’aa’, in one minute. You can say salaams to and shake hands with a number of people in one minute. You can forbid an evil action in one minute. You can enjoin something good in one minute. You can offer sincere advice to a brother in one minute. You can console someone who is depressed in one minute. You can remove something harmful from the road in one minute. Making the most of one minute motivates you to make the most of other periods that would otherwise be wasted.

U.S. President George Bush justified his invasion of Iraq by claiming Baghdad was behind 9/11 and threatened America with weapons of mass destruction. To his profound embarrassment, U.S. forces in Iraq have so far failed to find any unconventional weapons or any links between Iraq and al-Qaida. Most Americans don't seem to care their president launched a war of unprovoked aggression based on fabricated evidence and untruths, or that he and secretary of state repeatedly misinformed and misled the nation. The White House is trying to deflect rising criticism of its Iraq policy by blaming the Central Intelligence Agency for supplying erroneous information, but the CIA was not wrong. The agency repeatedly warned the Bush administration, both privately, through leaks and openly, that Iraq was not a threat, did not possess significant offensive weapons systems, and was unlikely to greet American and British invaders as "liberators." Contrary to Bush's assurances that invading Iraq would end terrorism and make the Mideast a safer, quieter, more democratic place, last week's terror attacks in Casablanca, Riyadh and Israel showed the invasion had sparked more, not less, terrorism and counter-repression, and that anti-American militant groups were gaining, not losing, strength. Palestinian bombings and Israeli intransigence left Bush's "road map" for peace looking more like a dead end. Early on, Bush vowed to avoid "nation building" and avoid Mideast entanglements. But thanks to his clumsy war on terrorism, his unnecessary invasion of Iraq and his relentless belligerency toward the Muslim world, the Mideast may come to be the nemesis of his administration, just as Iran undid that of former president Jimmy Carter.

An aerial view of the haram before much of the construction that exists today. Here you can almost imagine Makkah without any of these tall buildings...the Kaaba alone in the middle of a mountainous desert with only small houses in the hills surrounding it. A man prays in one of the sacred mosques. This photo symbolizes the essence of Islam. Serenity, peace, faith in God, simplicity, beauty... A lovely shot from the courtyard of the Prophet's Mosque. Underneath this green dome lies Rasulullah (saw), Abu Bakr (ra) & Umar (ra). The project director for the latest expansion to the holy mosque was a somali engineer called AbdiWalai Shiikh Ahmed. He was friends with my dad and I was honored to personally know him.. he went to school in Moscow and was chief engineer in Bin Laden construction company. Row after row of pillars and arches follow each other inside the haram of Madinah. Beautiful carpets line the floors. A cleaner leans on a pillar, taking a break from attacking even the smallest speck of dust. Hundreds of ppl take to the roof of the prophet's mosque in Madinah praying under the open sky. Pillars and zamzam coolers line the roof as well as the floors underneath. A look at the interior of the orignial Masjid an-Nabi. Here the mihrab of rasulullah (saw) is shown along with a white flowered carpeted area which indicates the Rawdah. >From my house to my minbar is a garden (rawdah) from the gardens of Paradise, said the prophet (saw). This area is always packed with ppl vying for even a hand span to do their sajdahs. This photo evokes the feelings of solitude and peace inherent of Madinah. Behind this quiet wall lies Rasullullah (saw).
