Well its really sad that you are debating the translations of the holy quran while not knowing who imam Ibin Kathiir is, I shall have you know that Hafiz Ibin Kathir is one of the most renowned scholars, his translations of the holy Quran “in his book Tafsiir Ibn Kathiir” is accredited among all the Madaahibs to be the clearest and most accurate reference and translation of the holy book and the sunnah al mubarakah.. Now ibin kathiir along with the Four Schools “madaahib” agreed that Hijaab is the modest covering of the woman’s beauty, which has been concluded to be all of her body except her hands and face. And there has never been any disputes among them “the scholars of the four madhabs of islam” in regards of considering the Hair of muslim women to be cawrah. You can disagree with us all you want, but the fact remains that everybody here presented to you in one way or another an evidence of the indispensability of covering the hair and considering it part of the full hijab. So please don’t let your ego or selfish desire suppresses all concern for the truth of this matter, if you don’t trust what we said, then go to your local masjid and ask the Imam. And remember any muslim women who refuses to wear hijab after knowing it is a requirement mandated by Alaah is a transgressor and guilty of a serious offence in the sight of alaah.. so again don’t let your ego inflict the anger of allah his almighty on you.. Some questions may indeed be motivated by the pursuit of knowledge and truth; selfishness and egoism may not be behind them. Such questions may also be spurred on by a striving for intellectual rigor and by the demands of faith. The differences between the people of faith on one hand and the hypocrites, on the other is a necessary difference which no believing Muslim can shake off or attempt to reconcile. So opinionated has every right to ask about anything she needs clarification about. since that, as she said, will make her a better believer” at the same time, opionated must take the rulings that are presented to her from the accredited translations of the hold Quran “ibin Kathiir translation” and the holy Hadiith and NOT question their validity. I understand that anybody’s ego and love of self can give a rise to many misdeeds and deviations that once they acquire a certain attractiveness in their eyes they start to persist in straying the truth and attempt to permit their falsehood by question every piece of evidence from Quran and Sunnah. Rudy.. “There are no one blinder than those who don’t want to see” your obstinate mentality is what causing you to defend your weak position on hijab just to prevail on us to accept your liberal a$$ idea’s and gain the upper hand in this debate.. I can see that your arm-twisting of the word of allah is stemmed from your wicked desires of causing dissension, argumentation and mutual wrangling between us…. Its 3:30 AM right now and I am kinda tired.. I shall expose your liberal wanabe a$$to everybody on a later time insha alaah..

I see where this is going... they only wanted to encourage the Iranian women to get "liberated" and rebel the ancient Islamic teachings that kept them stuck in the 14th century... they only want to cause conflict in Iran.. i am pretty sure the motives behind this award are mere political ones..

If you are asking a question with respect to the Quran that you are unclear of, WATCH YOUR TONE!!! Don't ask it as if you, some foolish 20th century prodigy has suddenly found a mistake in the Quran and wants to disprove it and refute it. I don't care if u took 15 courses in Critical Thinking. What does covering your head, necks and bosoms include? If not hair? Let me know. and Yes, even if a women is Bald, she would have to wear Hijab. I love the way that you jumped at the ayat that showed that aged women Stop putting your OPINIONATION before everything else. Muslims don't do that cause they have too much respect for the Deen to put their own OPINIONATION above all else. The whole concept of 'I HAVE A RIGHT TO MY OPINION' is non-islamic b/c if that was the case, then whatever asnine thing that comes out of someones mouth would be deemed Right and above the Word of ALLAH! Don't get it twisted Missy, no I ain't calling u a non-muslim or whatever else that you might be thinking. Brother Khayr, dont be so harsh on the sister man... she wouldn’t have raised these questions hadn’t the issue of Hijaab been so important to her.. ..dont discourage her please.. Opinionated.. I am researching for more Aidlah (proofs) of Hijaab.. so hang tight sis

I just find it quite difficult to post anything in SOL knowing my dear friend Shyheem is grieving over a great loss!! Right now,, brother Shayheem needs more than our online sympathies, I am pretty sure there are many ways we can help lighten his load. Therefore i decided to go and see him this Friday insha alaah to personally extend my heartfelt condolences and offer to help him in anyway I can. Is there anybody who wants to come along with me?

Dear Latiifah.. I am so glad to you'r back walaahi.. it really pained me deeply to see you leave, your broad knowledge of islam and thriving iman didn’t go unnoticed walaaalai.. as I said before we can use SOL to enjoin and call to what is good and forbid and warn against what is evil. It is the obligation of people who are “like you” qualified, have profound understanding of the Deen, have good character and manners, and have a broad knowledge of Islam. Think of the Hasanah Aljaarya (ongoing Ajir) you can get when you post a simple topic. Alaah will reward you Ajir for each person who reads it..

i was planning to go to Mankato to visit some freinds on Sat night, the night of the riot, but i slacked off  turned out i missed lots of fun i love riots and that kind of crazy shit.. too bad i missed this one.. Any eye witnesses?? MANKATO, Minn. (AP) - About 40 people were arrested in a late-night melee following a homecoming game at Minnesota State, Mankato. Mankato Public Safety Director Jim Franklin told WCCO radio of Minneapolis that at the height of the disturbance, which occurred across the street from campus in a residential area heavily populated by students, 2,000-3,000 people massed together. Many of them set fire to trash bins, tore down fences, overturned cars and threw rocks and bricks at police. Franklin said four officers were injured by projectiles thrown by students. It's unclear how many students were injured. Franklin said the area was so hostile that it took an armored vehicle attended by 12 officers to pick up a student who reportedly wasn't breathing. He blamed alcohol for the problems. Franklin said problems were started by about 500 students at 11:30 Saturday night. As word spread, the crowd grew, and the crowd of students damaged vehicles and shut down a street. He said police also received reports of students being assaulted by fellow students, but the department is still trying to get a handle on how many. The roughly 160 police officers from about 40 departments that responded were able to disperse the crowd by about 4:30 Sunday morning, Franklin said. Mankato lost their homecoming game 20-9 to North Dakota State. Mankato is now 0-6 for the season. Bob Idding, who lives nearby, said he couldn't believe what was happening. "It was the scariest feeling in the world," Idding said. "I shouldn't have been there, I know that. My wife and I were telling each other, 'This isn't Mankato, Minnesota. We have police in riot gear in the streets."' The University of Minnesota's Minneapolis campus was the scene of similar violence for the past two years following the school's back-to-back NCAA hockey championships.
