  1. Jazaaki alaah khayar Hijabi sis... and welcome back to SOL
  2. Opinionated,,, these are some Hadiith’s of our prophet Muhamad PBUH concerning the Maxram issue.. =========================================== Volume 2, Book 20, Number 194: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for one day and night except with a Mahram." =========================================== Book 007, Number 3096: Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: A woman should not set out on three (days' journey) except when she has a Mahram with her. =========================================== Book 20, Number 20.77.263: Malik said, concerning a woman who had never been on hajj, "If she doesn't have a mahram, or if she has, but he cannot come with her, she does not abandon Allah's making of the hajj obligatory for her. Let her go in a group of women." Malik related to me from Said ibn Abi Said al-Maqburi from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "It is not halal for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel the distance of a day and night without a man who is her mahram." =========================================== Volume 3, Book 29, Number 85: Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet said, "A woman should not travel except with a Dhu-Mahram (her husband or a man with whom that woman cannot marry at all according to the Islamic Jurisprudence), and no man may visit her except in the presence of a Dhu-Mahram." A man got up and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I intend to go to such and such an army and my wife wants to perform Hajj." The Prophet said (to him), "Go along with her (to Hajj)." =========================================== Volume 3, Book 29, Number 87: Narrated Qaza'a, the slave of Ziyad: Abu Said who participated in twelve Ghazawat with the Prophet said, "I heard four things from Allah's Apostle (or I narrate them from the Prophet ) which won my admiration and appreciation. They are: 1. "No lady should travel without her husband or without a Dhu-Mahram for a two-days' journey. 2. No fasting is permissible on two days of 'Id-al-Fitr, and 'Id-al-Adha. 3. No prayer (may be offered) after two prayers: after the 'Asr prayer till the sun set and after the morning prayer till the sun rises. 4. Not to travel (for visiting) except for three mosques: Masjid-al-Haram (in Mecca), my Mosque (in Medina), and Masjid-al-Aqsa (in Jerusalem)." =========================================== Now let me ask you this simple Yes or No question… Having read these hadiiths do you still think the Maxram issue is a bunch of crook?
  3. For Carabta.. i know nothin beats the original ...... so here is the arabic version
  4. I don’t know if this story i found on some arabic website will make sense to you y all or not, it was inspiring enough for me to translate to English just so i could share it with SOL nomads….. it goes like this…. Good and bad manners used to live together in a land called utopia in the form of regular people, one day they felt bored and wanted to play, “Creativeness” invented a game and called it hide and seek, everybody liked the idea, and before they chose someone to start the game, "Craziness" yelled “I will be the starter” none of the manners felt like confronting “Carziness” and end up in a fight, so they agreed to let him be the seeker, “Craziness” leaned on the wall closed his eyes and started counting.. 1, 2, 3, 4, …… all of the "good" and bad “manners” started taking a hiding spot. “Betrayal” was the first to find a spot, he hid himself in a pile of trash, “Innocence” was next, it took cover behind a nearby building, “Deception” told everybody he was going to to hide behind the mountain, and hid in the bottom of the lake. And so on with the rest of the good and bad manner, everybody found a hiding spot. Except “Love” who through out the count stood there on his spot, apparently indecisive and not sure where to hide, as “Craziness” was counting 95, 96, 97,,,, and in the last second, “Love” made up his mind and jumped into a near by flower basin. “Craziness” got done with the count..... opened his eyes..... and started looking around for the hiding "bad" and "good" manners. The first one to be found was “Laziness” simply because he did even bother to hide,....... “Innocence” was next to be found, everybody knew he’d be in this nearby kindergarten, then all the sudden “Deception” ,who ran out of breath, jumped out of the lake...... then the smell of trash lead “Craziness” to find “Betrayal”...... Craziness found everybody except “Love”, he looked everywhere to no avail, he got disappointed and decided to give up the search for “Love”, as he was about to call it quits, “Envy” approached him and said, “Love” is hiding in that basin of flowers, “Craziness” picked this spear shaped wooden stick and started sticking it aimlessly in the flower basin to find “Love”, then suddenly he heard someone weeping, he got closer to take a look and sure enough it was “Love” who’s been wounded by “Craziness” stick. Craziness asked, what happened to you love?. “you’ve hit me in the eyes, I cant see no more” replied love. Craziness was devastated with what he did to Love’s eyes, he wept and said. “I am so sorry love, I really didn’t mean to hurt you.. I will do anything to fix the damage I caused you” “Well there is nothing you can do that will bring me back the eyes you popped, but there is something u could do for me to help” What is that? Asked Craziness “Take my hand and be my guide” the wounded Love answered… So ever since that day.. The Blind Love was led by Craziness!!! Does this story make any sense to ya all ?? hit me with ya feed back..

Yes sister Captivating soul, I am known for my realistic and rationalized feedbacks towards issues presented in SOL, but I am also known for humiliating and shattering those who violate Allah’s sanctities and try to indirectly criticize our beloved deen in a violent and acutely hostile manner. Opinionated Walaashiis.. looks like you fell prey to your egotism due to an utter ignorance, you basically view the all of the SOL nomads who replied on this thread thus far with contempt and consider their views as something superfluous and worthless, but obviously you are oblivious (or pretending to be) of the fact that your opinions towards Maxram have no basis or Daliil. You see people who’s eyesight is weak use eyeglasses to see better, but there are no glasses to compensate for those who have weakness of intellectual vision “like yourself”. To overcome that problem, I suggest that you learn more about islam and resort to an analytic examination of your attitude. Just carefully and vigilantly distinguish your true capacities from deceptive and harmful tendencies. One of the renowned SOL nomads (not sure whom it was) was telling us here in SOL about how she eye witnessed tow Malaysian students she knew get ran over to death by a car in their way back home from Taraawiix?!! Have you ever thought that could happen to you? With the exception that you are mouthing off words that like these >>> Originally posted by Opinionated: Repent, ha! 18. We all avoid negative association with freinds whom we think are bad. those who u don’t think u’d ever get along with due to some bad qualities they have,,, so my question is what are the characteristics that makes you avoid someone to a point you don’t want to talk to her/him!! We are talking attitudes rather than particular people…. So is it The arrogant or The hypocrite or The selfish or The judgmental Or,, or,,, or,,, Myself.. I don’t find myself socializing much with :- The Arrogant, who talk about how smart, rich, cute or whatever they are.. and keep bragging about their achievements.. Judgmental, who is quick to accuse you of being someone you are not.. And those who are detached from deenta.. who just don’t give a shit.. So how about you.. what kind of freinds you rather not mingle with?

Now don't feel disappointed cause the 4 are not permanent and could be divorced. So maybe after a few yrs (if I can survive THAT MUCH LOVING for that long!) then I'll think about another group to become my 'STARTERS'. Samiyah, The prophet (salallahu caliyhe wasilm) had 12 wives and most of them were widows. The ones that weren't widows Aisha, Hafsa, Mariam, Zaynb etc. were real young muslimahs. If you want to use Khadijah (r.a.) just for her age, then Samiyha wait until 30 or 40, its your choice. ................... In anycase, keep the replies coming, Underdog, you're very good at calculating things.
