  1. U seem to be doing a good enough job, no need for reinforcements.
  2. Wax igu waashaa wuu i waali lahaa. Ya Allah, why do they call that love?
  3. u know what that means- the boys will be in on the game soon.
  4. ^dhuuso-xun whom are u calling a dadqaloto? U joined yesterday and already u are a senior miyaa? U must have delusion-inducing dhuuso.

  6. Originally posted by Dabshid: ^^^She ran after him, and gave him back It is amazin how some girls interpret and doubt the sincere islamic greetings,Subhanalah. If I had a way of torpedoing it after him I would have. I followed him and when he refused to take it I slammed it on the nearest horizontal surface. I don't actually remember what happened to it. It is amazing how some men Muslim and not will use the greeting as a way of appearing pious when their mind is occupied elsewise.
  7. I forgot to say the worst pick up line is: Asalaamu caleykum. Responding to that innocent salute can attract stick-on Faaraxs faster than any other opening line. MC Xamar, the dude was not buying me dinner. He had greeted me on the street a half hour ago and I had responded, 'wa caleykum asalaam'. Later he happened to be walking by the cafe I was peacefully eating at and walked in, planted himself at the edge of my table, went through the post code questions and suggested we get to know one another. He had this notion I should visit him in his neck of the woods! When I said I wasn't interested he suggested I call him. I took a mouthful of food and busied myself with my plate, pushing food around. He then said he'd give me his number anyway; he bugged the proprietress for a pen and a piece of paper; back at my table he proceeded to write Raymond(perhaps not even a Muslim and still using the greeting as a ice-breaker, mercy me) and a number under it. He then pushed it toward me, left me to return the pen; on the way back and out he casually slapped a note of money on my table. That's not buying dinner, that's buying t.r.o.u.bl.e. He got an intense verbal response(no rude words); his friend literally pulled and dragged him out as Mr Clueless was digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself. A woman who walked in on the latter half of the incident later said, 'U had this look in your eyes' and when I told her what had happened- beeps galore- she fell off her chair.
  8. Mostly the opening question is to do with with post/zip codes. Really, WTF would I tell a stranger where I live? I once had money slapped on my table whilst I was eating out, with a non-chalant, 'That's for your dinner' from a stranger whom I had been ignoring for several minutes whilst he wrote down his number( after I rolled my eyes when he asked ME to call him- and this after I clearly told him I wasn't interested in him). I never met anyone more thick-skinned than that git. When he put the money on the table and walked, I could have strangled him. He still didn't get it when I explained through gritted teeth and he replied: it's not for u, it's for your dinner. LoooL. His friend dragged him away cause I looked like I was about to punch his dim lights out. He wasn't a Somali(for those who will come to the rescue of Faaraxs).
  9. ^LooL. Don't hold back. Next time say: aabahay iska dhaaf e adigu wax ku yeela ma weydey?
  10. ^LoooL. One would think u'd never seen a buuryo with that comment u just made. It is absurd, since when do u women have a buuryo? The purpose of that expression is to convince girls there's something male about them that needs removing(leading to real femininity) and to convince men that sleeping with an uncircumcised woman is just as bad as sleeping with another man. Kixkix. The absurdity of it all. Zafir, are u in Cuba or am I misreading that comment?
  11. Originally posted by Dabshid: I believe he did it out of ignorance, and didn't kno the implication of what he did. What kinda father would do this barbaric torture, to daughter,He could be loving father, and cares more than you know. What kind of father? The kind that has been in existence for centuries. Love the adjective means little, love the verb speaks volumes. Circumcision isn't love the verb, dhaqan is love the adjective, ignorance is inexcusable, how long has Islam been a part of our people? BTW,I guess you have some serious issues with FAARAHS,It is the women who carry out this operation, and it is the mothers who still insist, somali men know little abt it. What u guess about my issues is just that- guessing. Don't waste your time with it. Also u have misunderstood the expression keeping up with the Faaraxs. U appear to let the men off the hook using ignorance but refuse such comfort for the women. Both non-action and action can stem from ignorance but I don't believe using the ignorance explanation so freely does the matter full justice. To assume a loving father or mother is incapable of wronging their own child is denying the capability of the human to commit injustice and crime in the name of love. We are complex creatures; a caring parent can still inflict pain; such is human nature. Somali men know about it every time they have sex with a Somali woman; stop pretending they're clueless. Not doing anything is a choice just as doing something is; the choice to conform or not is available to each parent. They're all in it together or it would have fizzled out long ago.
  12. ^ I do beg your pardon, how do you know he did it out of ignorance? Perhaps he is well aware of the law, the health implications for his daughter not to mention its immorality and yet chose to inflict it upon her for that God-forsaken thing they call dhaqan and that other God-damned thing they call social inclusion. Khaakh-tuuf cala spineless, image-driven folks who keep up with the Faaraxs at the expense of their own. Such creatures are worse than the ignoramuses amongst us. Xagee ka galna?

Oh, I forget myself in returning to the section I long ago abondaned because of that girl with the Moderative power] [/QB] Well, u remember now so all will be well again. Thirdly, it seems you are not a man of religion, because if otherwise, you would be consulting with Allah now, and praying to Him so that He would ease for you the process to succeed the hearts and minds of that girl. Khaf rabak. Bilal, u sound very Somali. Do u want help tracking her down or do u want tips on how to approach the situation?
  14. ^they could have but why dress up boys when they have girls in the MI5? Doesn't a spy have to be as inconspicuous as poss.?

I'm afraid I say this a lot so if it's wrong, I'm wrong a lot. Who'll explain it to me, cause I don't see the problem? Thanks.
  17. Nothing more except to say I accept and forget about it. They were feeling left out:
  18. I shouldn't say what can't be done? Bro, I have a headache and 10 things to do before bedtime. I will look over your figures tomorrow, when u have changed them to British pounds for starters(as we were talking about the UK) and catered them to a British Muslim family!!!! $900 for a house that can accomodate a family of seven- that's not even a one-bedroom flat in London, bro. Unless u have lived and worked in the UK in the recent past, Zafir, don't try to even guess/prove. We're talking about different worlds, if indeed u are talking about a viable world- US? Canada? Is the average income earned by an average individual that high?
  19. ^really? Do the figures. How many children in the average Muslim family? How much the does the average man earn? Mortgage/rent, gas, electric, council tax, TV licence, car insurance, car tax, car MOT, food, clothing, what else..money back home.. Jaded in what way?
  20. Originally posted by Baashi: ^Tell that to the moderator. The lady is going for the scratch ala cat style Shez, U r so uptight. Are you on an edge or something? You sure come across as some1 this close to lose it. Relax. As to your invitation for a catfight oh no shez count me out . The cyber xungurufo you are I won’t even try to poke fun at ya . Don't patronise me, man. Can u have a discussion with a woman without mentioning a cat fight? All I suggested was that you poke fun at the comments I make if they are as laughable as some of the nonsense u have produced. Are u still standing by 'major shortcoming' of a woman who can't put on a feast for your mates? Or are you skirting around it, making this about me and my call for a cat fight. The lack of smileys does not make me uptight inaadeer. If u can't hold a discussion without claiming an attack, it's because u can't explain away some of what u have to say satisfactorily. U're contradicting yourself- u'r poking fun but claiming u wouldn't dare, really you can poke all the fun u like but at what I write and not what kind of edge u imagine I'm falling off nor the state of my claws. I was poking fun at what you have said here and here alone. Giving me a name and a reputation however is getting personal. There's a difference between poking fun at comments and making personal remarks, one is easy to fall into and every difficult to get out of. Read back and see who's guilty of which. The offer still stands, mock my words and stand by yours.  for the illiterate.
  21. Do u live on the set of Home and Away?
  22. What are you sceptical about? Most of the Muslims will also be minorities; and minorities are found in the deprived areas. I would not call 25 year olds islaamo. A lot of them don't work even at 25. With the cost of housing alone crippling, how can the husband's income alone satisfy a BIG(as is the way) family's accommodation, food, clothing and other needs? People depend on the state to take care of their housing and this dependency forces them into not-so-nice areas and all the social, educational and aspirational baggage that comes with it. What if they pulled out the statistics on males over 25 only? Would the figures change dramatically? U know more young Muslim men than I do(probably), how many choose to work? Somalis and Bangladeshis don't srike me as workaholics. Add to that the difficulties facing those that choose to work. Joblessness and what leads to it: discrimination, the cushion that is the social security system, alienation, poor education and a lack of a desire to belong to the wider society. Discrimination is not a joke, although religious discrimination is now illegal there is yet no body that caters to the needs of victims and provides them with assistance and advice. I have tried. The CRE- commission for racial equality- distances itself away unless u can for instance prove that your faith and race are undoubtedly linked, e.g a Sikh is Sikh by faith and Sikh by ethnicity. The CRE would consider assisting a Sikh and a Jew who complains of religious discrimination as a result. It is not so straightforward for Muslims, we come in all races and we are the ones that need he assiatance the most in the current paranoid, backlashing climate. So in that sense we are definitely deprived, who to turn to for help? I have a tribunal hearing set; in a couple of weeks time I have to sit in front of a panel of people and make my case. Discrimination is not easy to prove but the more of us that use the system to make our voices heard the better. Silence is a crime. I don't think this report is a dig at Muslims. Do the Muslim organisations undertake studies like this? And if they do, would they take into consideration the Muslim social structure(more women staying at home) etc? Would the results free us of some stereotypes or throw up glaring problems that are of our own making? I swear I could go on and on
