  6. Hey I was just wondering, what is with Somali marriage and august, they all set the wedding time on August .. so I just want know why August? Is it because of ........... - August welfare money is doubled? - August wedding halls are discounted 50%? - August no one is in town so u don’t have to worry the whole town showing up for you to feed them? - August is the month you were born... and that way you can make sure he won’t forget your birthday since it is the month he lost his freedom forever? - August flowers and wedding gowns are discounted so that you could have lots of flowers and a beautiful dress on ur wedding? - August is summer time kids can come and make everyone leave soon so that you start working on the man and his life time trainings? Those are only what I am assuming happens in August, so really what is the deal, I mean xafsa, or flying sis is getting married August, so is others I don’t want to mention there names without their permission.. So please let me know why August.. By the way myth says married people who got married in August have the tendency for moody minds and jealousy. Thou they also say having twins on one go is due to August marriage, could that be the reason why Somali girls prefer to say yes I do in August. Good luck flying sis and the others … but I got to know why August .. peace
  7. Hey guys... you racist people, even in chocolate you discriminate, what do you mean you like white chocolate, and don’t like black ones, that shows you don’t like black people, i think you are a racist unconsciously .. Consider your position and evaluate your decisions of liking the white chocolate... Learn to like your own sister black chocolate because of the following reasons: 1. you have many things in common, like the color. 2. You and black chocolate are beautiful 3. White chocolate give you fats and make u look like balloons like UK women, but black chocolate like to look good on everything like u.. 4. White chocolate has no style you do, so go for black chocolate it has all the style 5. Black chocolate out stands in a crowd just like you would in a crowd …. So STOP BEING RACIST AND LOVE THE BLACK CHOCOLATE FOR GOD SAKE.. why capital letters I was shouting sorry I usually don’t shout …. peace
  8. i never changed my nick, except the time my name disappeared for unexplained reasons, and i was OG_time for a day or so, why change your name? 1. you are someone who gets bored easily.. not good when u get older and everyone seems young.. 2. to hide ... being a chicken reminds me the chicken story, u will get abused with hiding strategy.. 3. you dont care for those nomads who love u, then they will wonder where did u go, and have bad feelings that u are ok or not? changing names is not good if u want to keep friends, unless you do like Brown_suga,and mizz lexus writing it in the bottom of there posts.. 4. your lover keeps truck on u, and u feel u need sometimes to express whith him/her on ur back.. this one is good but dumping the lover is easier.. but still it is personal choice and i respect that... and one more thing if you change ur nick and find out that i dont miss u anymore dont blame me eayaah.. peace
  9. do u have something against men? if yes, can i try to change that if no, then you killing our market.. and u doing it well peace
  10. Brother Ayoub thanx for your answer, however do you really think Caydid could be compared with Sayid Mohamed abdulle hassan? ofcourse brother i dont not base my judgment of fightings only, and i did not say signing agreement is bad, anyways Sayid with his mistakes he wanted to unite somalis, and Caydid actually his initial purpose was to unite somalis but my own opinion is that he followed the saying of "If you can not beat them, join them!!" he turn a wrong turn, but that is my opinion i could be ofcourse totally wrong.. but thanx brother for your answer.. peace
  11. First of all sister BULO you are so right we should not get personal, if you felt tht way my Apologies, secondly he was not my hero, he is simply Somali hero... few points i would like to discuss, so please do not judge before you understand my words: 1. Sayid's Darwish did some random killing even my grandfather being killed by them wont change their noble purposes for somalis, they were fighting for Somali freedom, and every leader makes a mistake otherwise leaders would be humans. I hope we all agree on that, the good they did was much higher than their faults. 2. Quite -Storm - your article? I read it and I am not surprised, as bulo Somali pass history from generation to generation by mouth which is true and which makes them so well aware of major events and realize if the history altered or not, of course I hope even bulo agrees with me information passed by mouth wont be accrued since every story teller would add his passion into subject for many reasons, it could be to get attention of the audience, or any other hidden agendas. Anyway way my points are the following concern to Quite -Storm suggested article Note: Admin this is not tribe issue, mentioning names of tribes was an avoidable matter- i hope you will understand taken from the article that Quite-storm suggested: the effort was spearheaded by the Somali dervish resistance movement. The dervishes followed Mahammad Abdille Hasan of the puritanical Salihiyah tariqa (religious order or brotherhood). His ability as an orator and a poet (much-valued skills in Somali society) won him many disciples, especially among his own Dulbahante and Ogaden clans (both of the ******* clan-family). The British dismissed Hasan as a religious fanatic, calling him the "Mad Mullah." that is far from the truth, a lot of Ogaden clan were against him, so the article is bias and shows tribalism, and very weak argument and unpleasant way of presenting facts, - his darwish were from all Somali clans and the article is trying to discredit the Sayid's achievements in Somaliland, and concentrating on certain clans in Somaliland shows the biasness and alteration of history... - one more important fact, the article says that he had peace agreement with the British? and looting and many other hard to believe stuff about SAYID.. we all know looting and attacking other tribes has been Somali tradition and still is...but the man was freedom fighter and we all know the British offered him deals that no one can refuse but he did turn them down and continued the resistance.. The man was a leader, and leaders do make mistakes, but my point here is 90% of Somalis took him as a hero, indeed he was, and what is sad is that South Somalia valued him more than north Somalia where he did most of his resistance, is it that his jealous Somali enemies managed to spread their lies about him in north? or could it be that they just did not understand the concept of his movement which SYL impressed, understood and used for their own motivation for seeking independency... which was granted to them.. I conclude this topic with a question that I would like every SOL member to answer with honesty, and integrity. WAS HE A SOMALI HERO? YES OR NO And if no Why 90% of Somalis and the colonizing forces consider him so? My answer is indeed he was a hero, and my own opinion is that he was the father of Somalia, the great Somalia.. Peace

  16. I dont know what to say, i just dont know what to say .. like nuune said not everything is green, u made somali language green and now you making english language green, you all green minded... i was so romantic, cause after i read your posts, i felt bad, i thought i was bad in pick up line thou i wasnt picking up anyone "to juxa" i was trying to make her feel better about herself, anyways i went to a group of females they are my friends i asked about my statement they all smiled and thought that was the sweetest thing u ever did, and i left they were laughing so hard while i was going away from them but i think one of them said a joke or something..!!! nyway kool kat u are violant you need help, sister tifid is bad unhuman, and ilegal, i have rights Nova_2003 tell me bal let me see what was my mistakes.. thou i still beleive i was romantic .. i just the lady had issues, maybe she was abused before... do u think i should try with more open minded lady ? peace
  17. Che cheavora brother ... well said, let me add this my grandfather was killed by the Darwish cause he refused to join based on tribe, cause of ignorance, those who came against him did not look the big pecture their minds were so narrowed that they could not see the concept he was promoting instead they focused "ina heber wants to rule us, while we are from hebel qabiil" beside leaders are suppose to make decisions when when ever they face a certain unfavourable situations, and the correctness or wrongfull of the dicision is not relevant, let me give me an example: For those who did not join the Darwish movement were considered the enemy's friend like che said, so the leader has to make decisions what are the options: a. communicate - time may not allow or it may not be the style of the leadership b. Remove them - not very modern leadership style but it solves the problem c. ignore them - some leaders do, but it causes for there own damages SAYID compined both b,and c, and that is why he lost the war plus other factors such as lack of weapons and the power status of the enemy, but he tried and he was the main reason for somali freedom even it happen after 40 years cause then the enemy was sure somalis do not take $hit from now one.. and many others followed his steps like the SYL young fellows.. VIVA Somalia and those who fight for, and Death to Warlords and anyone who approves them ... peace
  18. Bulo it seems to me the only person who exaggerating here is you, first of all let me correct you, what counts is not who removed the occupation and gave the actual freedom, what counts is who encouraged people to fight for their freedom, and if he did not start revolution against the occupying forces we would still be under occupation today some how he gave Somalia dignity, you don't agree? then fine cause millions of Somalis do agree and put a symbol of him the middle of the city and everyone who passes that road looks up and with amaze says to him/herself what a man he was? Criminal? bulo do you know by God's law and human law in every country allows to kill those who come against freedom and Allah orders us to fight the kufar not to mention those who come to occupy our land, as far as his poems it was only reverse psychology to scare people not to co-operate with the enemy, and no prove tht he ever killed any women or children. beside every great man is blames for what his army did without his approval, the darawish might did some mistakes but i am sure it was never with his approval... the man was god fearing sheikh who gave his life for freedom not you or those who named him mad mula or anyone else could deny him that. Even the Kufar called him MULA which means man of god or religious man, why did call him that because he refused all their temptations and offerings which would made him rich and powerful man, instead he said to them my religion do not allow me to sell my dignity and the dignity of my people, he died as a refugee? that is just far from the truth, he was injured in the war and died cause of that inquiry, read again... he died broke maybe alone perhaps but it was his choice and to please Allah, sister there is no doubt that the man was far from being criminal, and comparing him to today's warlords is not only unfair and injustice it is also takes the credibility from your words and shows your lack of reasoning, Allow to Apologize for those words but sis saying he was talented but criminal is just unfair, everything he did he did it for Somalia and Somalis, i repeat it was all for Somalis sake and it is obvious that all he wanted was the acceptance of Allah and good deeds. Allah's mercy on him... and you are totally entitled to your opinion and I do respect your point of views but please lets support our arguments with facts not what people say, and i repeat his poems were his journal and propaganda is part of the war and planting fear in the heart of traitors is important, he was threatening them but never proven that he killed women and children...prove me wrong with strong evidences.. peace
  19. Brother Shaka Zulu I couldnt say better, well said brother, to me I searched in somali history to find someone i look up to and have the ultimate respect he as SAYID MOHAMED ABDULLA (Alaha unaxariisto) came first in the list, i do respect many others but he is the founder of Somalia the father of somali freedom, Bulo brother you are simply not stating facts and we all know SAyidka had many enemies even somalis, so they changed his history and added fictions and lies to his history to distroy his reputation, and you know well that he could been a king and the british offered him wealth and kingdom to rule somalia under their supervision, but he turned them down and choice to fight against them till last kaafir leaves somalia, how for god sake such a man could you call a criminal, brother he said many things in his poems, critisized tribes, including his tribe, and we all know why, cause during his time, there was no journal and poetry was his journal, his only means of spreading his words and teaching, and we all know poetry to be effective you need to get attentions and some of his poetry which sounds so hard and difficult were because of getting peoples attentions, and brother you couldnt be far from true when you said he killed children and women, even ignorant somalis those days never harmed women and children and how could you say the sheikh did that, maybe you are mixing him with some of the warlords of today.. I dont know if you attacking him because of his tribe, for your information SAYIDKA had no tribe, he was simply a hero of Somalia, so bulo I understand where you coming from, and the great thing about Sayidka is he did not mention bad things of one tribe or two, but he did attacked in his poetry all somali tribes specially his own tribe, and that shows 2 things that most somalis dont understand 1. he knew somalis so well, and all the things he mentioned was true about each tribe 2. he didnt do it from descriminating but he did for encouragement, by the way to compare him with modern life, he is a perfect human resource manager and a perfect politician and religios man, he was an ideal, bulo read his histroy from all sources and use your judgement dont use the judgment of his haters and i assure you .. you will change your mind.. peace
  20. Batuulo i know tht lady i think she has a business in hargeysa a cafe maybe, she is so pretty, i wish if i could meet her and discuss business with her... looool she should be inspration to all somali females to acheive more and more since men seem to like taxi driving and eating Qaad more than anything else... viva somali women .. only if they stop madax adeega... loool peace
  21. Jawahir thanx dear... it is my favourate too, they are our people and we came from them, and you can see simplicity and dignity combined in them, they are lovely, and dont mind Mizz_lexus she doesnt mean bad she is a rebel... but a good one looooool peace p.s. opp, are u sis or bro ... i will soon anywy..
  22. Well said All, and che bro thnx a lot for the nice picture, latiif well said to this guys who said he killed innocent people, bulo what is innocent in ur definition like the brother asked? Sayid mohmed abdulla hassan's soldiers killed my Great grand father, and i dont blame him for it.. and beside i beleive he did killed some people who refuse to take part of the Jihad and that is called justice not crime, Somalia was on Jihad and anyone who do not take part is not innocent but a criminal, even during the prophet P.B.U.H those who did not take part on the jihad Allah got angry of them and damn them, and the Prophet P.B.U.H did not speak to them ... so he did nothing wrong he gave somalia dignity they are enjoying today, he united somalia thought many islam and islamic law and planted in to people hearts the love of God, islam and the country, his only mistake was he was way a head of everyone he was so many steps ahead of somalis and it is not his mistake, for short he was exceptional fellow, May Allah give him mercy and reward him heaven... what a man he was, proud to be Somali because of him and others... love and peace
