Lured? maybe u should read the article buddy. She was kidnapped by white-man and taken to pedofile heaven somaliland. My point is not who did the kidnapping, but why are they always taken to somaliland? the only logical plausible reason is there is market there to serve!!! Anyways, this girl was not lured by her fellow countryman but was SNATCHED and put in the boot of a car, they even had to hide her because if people saw her they would be immediately stopped. Like i said read the article and stop trying to justifying it. I dont deny that sland officials stopped these people my point was why are they ALWAYS TAKEN TO SOMALILAND, why not bosaso, why not ******iya, why not other places in somalia?

Originally posted by Wiil Cusub: Dear Cowke give me one good reason WHY you menseant only SL when article said quote: existence of international trafficking of Somali women to Djibouti, Kenya, and the Gulf States, mainly the United Arab Emirates , for sexual and labour exploitation. Moreover, further investigations confirmed the widespread practice of domestic human trafficking of Somali women and children [who are] lured into forced prostitution in some areas of Somalia [somaliland and Puntland] ,” Ueno told IRIN. Ma aragtid in Pirat land whare all false somali problems start is on list?? Please read what u post. This is talking about prostitution of WOMEN not children as is the case in somaliland. Even the areas it mentions it clearly states women marka dhib isku laabo!!! Lastly your link u posted regarding the trafficking of people, well sxb noone forced them to get on the boat they do so at their own risk. Where-as these kidnapped children from somalia dont ask to be kidnapped DO THEY? no they don't therefore comparing trafficking of ADULTS who PAY and ASK to be taken with kidnapping of innocent kids WHO DONT ASK TO BE KIDNAPPED is two different ball-games. Anyways it appears u just want an argument for an argument sake, but come up with something worthwhile next time!!!

Che-Guevara. Well if it's not pedofile-land why do all those cases happen in that part of somalia? why do kids who are stolen always taken to that part of somalia nowhere else? their must be something about that place is my guess!!! or rlese how else can u logically explain why this doesnt occur in other parts of somalia?

Xaji, failed? sxb 20 years you been failing. the tfg only got started in 2004 and is only beginning and it's recognized and has the support of the international community and majority of somalis minus shabab and hizbul islam!!! As for somaliland, sxb lets be real. Awdal has nothing to do with u the second riyale leaves. SSC wants nothing to do with you. Heck even sections of snm want nothing to do with you and are bunkered in the tfg. But u will never see SSDF person that is in hargeisa supporting you except maryan mursal kkkkkkk!!!! Whilst we take your buuba, ina omar, etc!!! sxb different class and different league!!! By the way financially speaking erigavo/burco peoples are using our A/4 AND A/5 somali shilling which is produced in Bossaso. They are financially liable anytime If puntland decides to stop allowing them to take ours notes, how will they survive? economical crash everything will stop for them and can be easily taken over by us!!! sxb we are nuffin like u, we know we own u but we dont boast about it, but if u start we will show u the truth!!! Lets not forget half of your snm clan is depedendant on our port, where-as we are never dependant on you for 0!!! Anyways xaji, your people i am sorry to say are in the hands of puntland mercy and can be dealt a severe blow anytime!!!

Thankful Piracy is alot more respectful it's called "hustling" not hustling somalis but hustling those who hustle our sea. But kufsi of children, child trade and all that stuff is snm trade!!! sick if u ask me!!! I mean recently 7 month old baby was raped in hargeisa, their stealing children from puntland and somalia and even themselves. This is double crime because 1. Ur harming somalis. 2. Ur harming KIDSSSSSSSS. Anyways Puntland should stand up for it's citizen I don't mean retialate by raping their women or children god forbid but i mean doing a few top assasination hits on top snm business-men, politicians in the tfg and or business men in puntland

Thankful why u think i was calling them pedofile land sxb i always knew they do that stuff there and now IRIN finally coughed up also!!!

Puntland needs to stand up. Zamzam Abdi was failed by puntland. Now this case of qardho girl has been successful and good to see however there is still outstanding issues such as the fishermen from puntland locked up in somaliland. I believe the trucks still haven't be handed over I know Puntland has control of it, but they haven't handed it over to Burco. They should only hand it over when they release all the fishermen they have arrested is my opinion!!! Puntland is playing with fire when they don't stand up for the civilians, because the civilians will take the law into their own hands and it will be very nasty!!!

SOMALIA: Human trafficking on the increase Photo: Mohamed Amin Jibril/IRIN Anti-human trafficking billboard in the streets of Hargeisa HARGEISA, 2 April 2010 (IRIN) - Officials in Somalia's self-declared independent state of Somaliland are concerned over a rise in human trafficking in the region. Children are mainly trafficked from south-central Somalia, because of the lack of government there, says a senior government official. “Human trafficking is increasing in Somaliland. Before, no one believed that human/child trafficking existed in Somaliland but such kinds of crimes occur here…” Fadumo Sudi, the Minister for Family and Social Affairs, said during a recent ceremony to reunite a girl with her family. She had been trafficked to Hargeisa in February from Qardho, in the autonomous northeast region of Puntland. “ One day, my sister went to school as usual, but she disappeared. We searched for her everywhere but we didn’t find her. Finally, we heard from the media that she had been trafficked to Somaliland and by Allah’s mercy she was saved. We are happy to have her back,” Najib Jama Abdi, the girl’s brother, said. In January, the Somaliland immigration office in the area of Loyada, along the border with Djibouti, sent home more than 60 minors in the company of about 200 illegal immigrants who were hoping to proceed on to Europe via Eritrea, Sudan and Libya. Ethiopian Oromian children also travel to Somaliland without their parents in search of work; most end up in petty trade or as street children. Older people, claiming to be the children’s parents, use them to beg. "The children are used in different ways ... and are exploited for child labour in Somaliland," Lul Hassan Matan, the director of child protection in Somaliland's National Human Rights Commission, told IRIN. "Whenever you see a child in the street crying and ask him or her why, they respond they are not with their parents, but have been brought in to work." (Since speaking to IRIN, Matan has left this position). Raising awareness According to Khadar Qorane Yusuf, the victim referral mechanism lead person in the Ministry of Family and Social Affairs, the children are initially enticed with false promises and told not to share the information with anyone, only to be later violated. Whenever you see a child in the street crying and ask him or her why, they respond they are not with their parents, but have been brought in to work "With the collaboration of the International Office for Migration (IOM), we are raising awareness by holding forums to discuss the issue of trafficking, as well as debates and seminars," added Qorane. Information posters have been strategically placed along the borders and airports. IOM defines trafficking in persons as the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation. Exploitation includes the exploitation or the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs. Forced into sex work According to Mayumi Ueno, the counter-trafficking project manager at IOM’s Somalia Support Office, the scale of human trafficking in Somalia is not known. “But [a] rapid assessment conducted by IOM indicated [the] existence of international trafficking of Somali women to Djibouti, Kenya, and the Gulf States, mainly the United Arab Emirates, for sexual and labour exploitation. Moreover, further investigations confirmed the widespread practice of domestic human trafficking of Somali women and children [who are] lured into forced prostitution in some areas of Somalia [somaliland and Puntland],” Ueno told IRIN. In 2009, IOM launched a Counter Trafficking Project for Somalia, in Somaliland and Puntland, whose activities include awareness-raising campaigns targeting the local population to inform them of the dangers and risks of being trafficked. It has also supported Somaliland and Puntland in setting up National Counter Trafficking Taskforces. Challenges remain, however, with the public and authorities not familiar with the concept of human trafficking and the best ways to respond, Mayumi said. “Furthermore, the general lack of social services and issues of culture and social stigma make victims' reintegration extremely difficult.” maj/aw/mw

By the way, When is the next "fake" date for the elections?

January 1, 2100 Phone Fear in Somalia By NOAM SHERIF BOSASO, SOMALIA, 17:08 U.T.C. -- The five nations of Somalia formally and finally reunited today in a restitching of the Horn of Africa that also combined the continent's five major satellite telephone companies. The consolidation has thus raised fears around Africa that phone rates will spin out of control. The Somali people, divided two centuries ago by European colonists, have reigned for nearly 100 years as the pre-eminent providers of telecommunications in Africa. As long as they were divided, their national telephone companies competed against each other, keeping rates relatively low. But since the Somalis began moving toward reuniting -- in a swell of nationalism rare for its peaceful conclusion -- other African nations have argued that the competition will disappear and prices will become unaffordable to Africans. Though still relatively poor, Africans have slowly caught up with the rest of the telecommunicating world, with nearly 80 percent owning mobile telephones. Today, in a ceremony in the new seaside capital of Bosaso Today, in a ceremony in the new seaside capital of Bosaso, jammed with luxury cars and banner-bedecked camels, Mohamed Ahmed Duale, the president of the New Somali Republic Today, in a ceremony in the new seaside capital of Bosaso Today, in a ceremony in the new seaside capital of Bosaso, jammed with luxury cars and banner-bedecked camels, Mohamed Ahmed Duale, the president of the New Somali Republic, worked to calm those fears. "This is as much a merger as anything," Mr. Duale said, sounding a characteristically prosaic note in a ceremony marked by high emotion. "The Somali people are happy to be back together. From a practical perspective, we will be better positioned to deliver our services more efficiently and effectively into the new century." Considered one of the world's most lawless people only 75 years ago, the Somalis came to dominate telecommunications; despite their refusal to give up their nomadic lifestyle, they still wanted to be reached wherever they roamed. Until the Somalis began to consider union three years ago -- in a joint effort to rebuild after the meteor shower that knocked out 70 percent of their satellites -- there were few complaints about their virtual monopoly, because prices were low and service high. Next month, though, the Pan-African Supreme Court is scheduled to rule on a lawsuit opposing the merger, brought by Greater Nigeria and by the Federation of Former Congolese States. They have argued that nationalist yearnings should be separate from business, a philosophy that has been steadily losing ground on the continent as commercial imperatives erase both colonial-era boundaries and postcolonial tribal schisms. Indeed, one of the principal rebuttal arguments offered by the Somalis is that Greater Nigeria and the Congolese state were themselves the products of economically motivated amalgamations of formerly feuding nations. The territory of the new Somali state, stretching from Rahsita at the mouth f the Red Sea around the Horn of Africa and south on the Indian Ocean shore as far as the Boni Game Reserve, joins in one nation a number of geographic advantages for satellite communications that had been split up among the former rivals. Jubaland, the southernmost of the three states in the former Italian colonial territory, lies on the Equator on a coast facing east, making it an ideal site for space launches. The mountainous portion of Migiurtinia in the northeast is well suited for ground stations because of its bone-dry climate. And the rich cultural life in the cosmopolitan port capital of Djibouti, the northernmost of the five, is a magnet for a labor force of young university-educated professionals from throughout East Africa. Though many Somalis still spend all or most of their lives herding livestock in the interior of the country, the region's economy now depends on communications for two thirds of its gross domestic product, with much of the rest accounted for by tourism. In his remarks today, President Duale said that the new country has "no choice but to pursue our competitive advantage aggressively" in mobile telephony. Once combined, the five Somali satellite telephone companies would be the sixth largest worldwide, but the largest by far in Africa and the second largest in the Middle East after the Beirut-based Holyland Bandwidth.

My vision of garowe is. Parliamentary/ministry/hayadaha all located north-western part of the town. Suuqa can contain, hawala's, hotels, libraries, universities, and other commercial facilities. The residential areas should be allocated the rest of the city. Particularly old-garowe designated an area as history. The new garowe residential areas designated another area. I believe with better urban planning garowe can really shine out. Right now buildings get build everywhere and it doesnt show on the landscape as much. You need to find single buildings in places of nowhere and LIKE WAT THE HELL.

This is recent video of Las Canood city by somali-media minnesota group !!!

Garowe is probably the up-coming town considering the developments happening there.

Ps: Some people are under impression that rome was built in a day, sorry to burst your bubble puntland is rebuilding and it started in 98 and 12 years on their doing ok or else we could just sit around and just wait for hamar to get their act together which we wasted 91-98 years doing!!!

Bendar Qassim Mall City Plaza Bossaso Bossaso Goldern Standard Mall Advertisement On Youtube Puntland Shopping Complex In Galkayo Puntland Shopping Complex Mekka Hotel In Bossaso Man I can't list the amount of crap we waste on. But what i want to see more of is infrastructure. Like roads,Hospitals, Schools. I really like this company called nugaal electric ccompany which is laying electricity grids through newer areas of garowe. Nugal Electricity Company PASWE Social Services In Puntland giving monthly welfare payments to old, disabled, idps, orphans and the most vulnerable people in the state. I think they give $50 a month to them. PASWE Social Services Road constructions like lafagoray road which connects two remote towns calula and hafun has been completed. Now they are working on the road that goes to hafun town. Roads connecting bender ziyada and las qoray is happening. But their still needs to be more done.
