We the majorities of Sool and District of Buuhoodle and Sanaag and western Bari had made a major political mistake when we helped the formation of Puntland. It will take us years and years to eliminate all the opportunists (both the ignorant elders and the self-styled or appointed politicians) and rise to the challenge of putting our regions before the Federal or Centralized form of Government of Somalia. Why do we need a middle man to represent our regions. Gen. Ilka-jir, Haabsade and their equals have only added to the plight of these regions, being content with a mere ministerial post that mean nothing in the long run..

MMA, absolutely great lyrics and one of the best songs ever made. NNA, yes sis Somalia ha noolaato. Rudy, I'm celebrating the opening ceremony of the World Cup yet upset about the Lakers' loss tonight. They blew up a big chance to wrap the whole series up.

Give me freedom, give me fire, give me reason, take me higher See the champions, take the field now you define us, make us feel proud The streets are lifting as we lose our inhibition, Celebration is around us; every nation all around us Singing forever young, singing songs underneath that sun Lets rejoice in the beautiful game. And together at the end of the day. When I get older I will be stronger They'll call me freedom just like a wavin' flag And then it goes back And then it goes back Born to a throne, stronger then Rome A violent prone, poor people zone But it's my home, all I have known Where I got grown, streets we would roam Out of the darkness, I came the farthest Among the hardest survivors Learn from these streets, it can be bleak Except no defeat, surrender, retreat So we strugglin', fightin' to eat And we wonderin', when we'll be free So we patiently wait for that fateful day It's not far away, but for now we say... So many wars, settlin' scores Bringin' us promises, leavin' us poor I heard 'em say, love is the way Love is the answer, that's what they say But look how they treat us Make us believers, we fight their battles Then they deceive us Tried to control us, they couldn't hold us Cuz we just moved forward like Buffalo Soldiers But we strugglin', fightin' to eat And we wonderin', when we'll be free So we patiently wait for that fateful day It's not far away, but for now we say... When I get older; I will be stronger, they will call me freedom just like a wavin' flag Just like a wavin' flag, just like a wavin' flag Flag, flag, just like a wavin' flag

At least he should have familiarized himself with the colonial records that are easily available online, but I'll be generous enough to share with you a self-explanatory telegraph sent by Sir Geoffrey Archer to then British Governor of Seychelles concerning the Sultan. Government House Berbera, British Somaliland 5th January, 1920 Sir, I am informed by the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies that he has made arrangements with Your Excellency.... ..Your Excellency will observe that the sentence of deportation does not carry with it a sentence of imprisonment, and that the Ex-Sultan should be treated as a political detenu in the Sychelles. I would mention, however, that he has already made an attempt to escape from custody in Berbera, and that it is possible he will make an effort to escape from Sychelles and to return to the ********** country. Should he be successful in any such attempt, it might have very grave political consequences: and I have, therefore, to request the most careful surveillance of his movements may be imposed. I have requested the Secretary to the Government of Bombay to telegraph to Your Excellency in due course the date of the Ex-Sultan's departure from Bombay to Sychelles. I think that, however, his confusion and remarks to draw an analogy from two unrelated events can be attributed to his sources. As much as I respect the political aspirations of our brethrens in their attempt to liberate the city of Las Anod from the secessionist hands, I do think many unwary but good citizens like Me are led to believe that "SSC" are regions that are currently occupied by SL, thereby lumping together two entirely unrelated political units. In this case, the main inhabitants of much of Sanaag, Haylaan and western Bari have become the casaulty of the fiery exchanges that we see online eventhough they completely control and run their territories' Jurisdiction having defeated and humiliated several times the "Somaliland" militia led by its Defense Minister---sacked for the failed mission of Territorial Aggrandizement he was duly assigned to carry out by the Hargeisa admin. I'll provide him with other credible sources regarding the Sultan that Mr. Me know very much less of his golden past.

Azizah, don't fall for this divide and rule tactics of the anti-Somalia camp. At the end of the day we identify ourselves as one juridical family and only one particularly anytime outsiders encroach on our national union. When the European colonial powers created this artificial border lines over our conterminal lands (map, we dissolved it peacemeal through the force of Somali nationalism and formed the juridical Republic, that is still recognized by the community of nations.

Both have been true lions and will be. reer Sool, Ayn, and parts of Sanaag on the other hand will sure overcome their internal problems and liberate their territories off the aided militias of the SNM clan outfit a.k.a "Somaliland" Btw, Qudhac, don't ask for a repeat of the extreme lashes and its consequent disciplinary measures you had it with your so called Defense/Warlord Minister when he made his suicidal thrust into the Lion's den.

Aaliyah, given the travails of the Great Recession, you can say that any field in the Health sector of the economy has proven to be a recession proof. MBA in Finance has ruled the world for a long time and they still do. It depends on how hard you work both inside and outside school, how opportunities present itself to you combined with acute understanding, leadership qualities and innovative skills. Any other field like Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Doctor of Pharmacy, Computer Science, etc, ask for similar demands. -

Hirad, the son of the late great Somali writer and activist. Allaha u naxariistee Abdalla Hirad. ^I like the beat of that song. -

Lol, war bal suga. Let's not compare orange with apples. MBA is a graduate degree whereas MD is awarded after a post-graduate study and Residence (experience). At least Phd in Economics or Quantitative Finance can at least be compared to MD in terms of the value of their weight and the monetary opportunities they present to their industrious holders. However, MBAs from the good schools listed in the US News magazines are in extremely high demand. I believe Education is a life time learning experience, but a good degree is key to a fair job competition, so let's encourage those who pursue it and as well motivate those among us who fail to put their greatest asset (time) into good use. -

Zack, now I didn"t expect you to highlight something trivial, which bypasses the gist of this whole mission by Mr. Salah. It is inspirational goal and worthy of emulation that an educated young man felt so motivated to go to his home base and implement a good project. Does it matter that he received such a huge welcome. The great receptions he accumalated only translates about the freedom and independence that this part of Somalia enjoys. The freedom to be recieved without fear of your safety, without fear of being snatched by the Ethiopian secret service, or being blown out like the desperation that daily reigns in the southern part of Somalia. Secondly, MBA is a professional degree, esp when it is from one of the best universities in the world, not the online ones that some people seem to get with an ease of money. Where you get from it is very important. However, Salah's credentials is highlighted only to prove that he is capable of what he is doing, that the people of Puntland value education and consider it as the main criteria with which to judge any person who generally tries to assume any leadership position Mr. Salah is nevertheless far from assuming such a role, but again he went to his Free home for a great mission and thus he was received by enthusiastic friends and families. It is good lesson for us, the Young Diaspora. . I love my Motherland... -
You wlc Aaliyah. No such thing as Trinity, Che. That's a term coined by the nomad Farah and was subsequently adopted and promoted by Oodweyne as part of his divide and conquer rhetoric, like the "Pirateland" stuff. If it weren't for the electoral votes of Sool and Cayn, Ilka-jir would have won it. He had more votes from Bari and Sanaag than he expected from his uncles' base. In fact, he received not a single vote as money and inter-clan competition proved to be the deciding factor. A similar case happened on the election of Ade Muse. The Makhiris tipped the balance in the end in an attempt to reward Ade Muse for his transformation to seek political office through peaceful terms from his rebellion, but they paid the price for that miscalculation. It seems now history is repeating itself in a similar fashion for the Daraawiish who are paying the same price as well. It's all politics and it is subject to constant change.
