Originally posted by Jabhad_no1: Good read sxb, Wardheernews I think produces better analysis and superior articles than Hiiraan.com Clearly a quick comparison of todays articles will give you an indication. It's great site but the editors have of late given a disporportionate coverage to the secessionist "Somaliland" and the so called "Somali regional state", methinks. We need to promote SomaliWayn principles, and Hiiraan does that all the time, and the reason it is a high-traffic Somali site

Somali Region is an occupied region like Palestine. And it must get its independence.

Sana: President Faroole Minister Ilka-Jiir arrive in Yemen's capital
NASSIR replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
I've always criticized the criminal enterprise of Piracy. On this deal with Yemen, it's Business as Usual.. How is the agreement different from erstwhile Mogadisho's warlords' deal with foreign fishing companies and their big trawlers, not to mention the toxic dumping activities..? SOMALIA-YEMEN: Yemenis take big risks fishing in Somali waters Yemeni fisherman Fadhel al-Nawbi, aged 27, swore he would never sail in Somali waters again. However, as soon as he returned to Mukalla (750km south of Sanaa) from yet another fishing expedition, he reassessed his two options: stay jobless or embark on yet another potentially dangerous fishing trip to the autonomous Somali region of Puntland.... Yemeni fishermen and their Somali counterparts from Puntland have reached a kind of unofficial agreement: The Yemenis send their vessels to Somalia and then either get the Somalis to fish for them and buy the catch off them, or are allowed to fish for themselves on payment of a hefty fee. In the latter case the Puntland Ministry of Fisheries licenses the Yemeni fishermen to fish, and provides an armed man to go on board. http://irinnews.org/Report.aspx?ReportId=74375 -
[quote Alisha Ryu | Nairobi 29 September 2010 The Puntland government has linked Atom to numerous kidnappings, bombings, and assassinations in the region since 2008. Source: VOA This is not the first time that the pirate-linked authorities have made direct accusations-- against the people of Sanaag and western Bari--of kidnappings and other criminal activities ever since the Majihaan Resource conflict back in 2006. They just altered the old strategy and decided this time to use the terror card and get away with their commission of human rights violations. Here is an old DhaharOnline commentary on an article published by SpainNews "Facts about the Kidnappers in Puntland Jan 12, 2008 DhaharOnline Commentary Ever since the Majihan conflict, Puntland authorities have been constantly engaged in a war of words by utilizing effectively the autonomous profile of Puntland's administration.... Finding itself in a hapless quandary, character assasination of ********** is seen as the best strategy by the authorities in Puntland to reverse Puntland's international image as the epicenter of piracy, human smugglings, and kidnappings as reported by several news wires. The Puntland authorities have accused Makhirites of being responsible for a raft of kidnappings in the region. "Most of the kidnappers reportedly belonged to the ********** sub-clan of the ***** clan, which the local authorities have accused of trying to make profits with abductions." (Spain News) "

The real security threat PL poses to the world and other regions is Piracy.. -
Xudeedi has penned a great piece. Keep up the good work, young man.

Amazing kid.. The Southern English accent sounds more standard/formal.

Self-respecting persons don't employ the N word. It's a dehumanizing term once used by slave owners or slave merchants of the Transatlantic trade so they could justify their crimes against humanity. America went into a devastating civil war over the freedom of blacks in the South when southern states instituted laws in contravention of the federal laws abolishing slavery, and thus deciding to secede in order to protect their lucrative slave plantations. It also reinforces the class divide within American Society though the intertainment industry exploits the term & other negative racial stereotypes to keep in check the aspirations of black kids. It doesn't also appeal to common sense when you restrict the use of this term within one's community. Waxaadba arkeysaa rag waaweyn oo isticmaalaya. (Most of them uneducated) Si ay bal isaga dhigaan dad aysan aheen.

A man of integrity with great leadership quality. I hope he wins.. I recall having my 1st exchange with Sophist on possible premier candidates. I randomly picked Qorsheel and here he is running for the post. Here is HorseedMedia pic of the former national basketball star hosting delegates from U.A.E and OMAN in Bosaaso. The whole family are into politics. His young son, Jama S. Korshel was running for the 2007 Ontario Election. And his father was a well known Somali leader, held the VP (second most powerful post up until 72 after the 1969 coup...check major political personalities, parties and Groups).

No Yaasin mire ever became a mayor. Afweyne who had held the longest (13 and half) in that position of lawless Somalia out of the desire of the inhabitants of Ceeriaabo was the predecesor of Ismail as a mayor. That's a public record for you and your secessionist friends.
-
Taleexi, reer Faatax baa dhaley odayga Ismail Haji. Gabankan mid wax kala og maahan.
-
Libaahe, you're hardly equiped with the knowledge of Ceerigaabo and its delicate balance of security. I know it bothers the likes of you to set the records of the city which you distort and of its inhabitants whom you misrepresent, straight. I getta go..
-
Libaahe, Ceerigaabo is not a city that I'll be "desperate to be noticed". It's my family's city. It's the city of Sultan Ali Shire... Thankful has an ax to grind as per our discussion of the Galgala issue.

Libaahe, I said of the clans of D-jibouti. Hone ur comprehension skills. Xoogaa luuqada ku dhibeysaa. Afwayne is his nick for further clarification and he is born of the Gadabursi clan. He had been a mayor for 13 to 14 years prior to Ismail.
